Is this a big problem or one that will go away? Small lines on screen

I have a row about 2 or so pixils big, halfway across my screen. You can barely notice them on the background, and I dont notice them when I move my safari window over it. But I have changed my desktop background to different things, solid colors, photos, random photos apple had in there, and the lines were still there.
It is about 4 rows, very thin, different lengths, right side, just below the center of the right side of the screen.
Is it the beginning of a big problem? I was thinking of calling up applecare then going to an apple store to have the screen replaced.

Thanks. I will back up my data this wednesday, install snow leopard on friday (i doubt it would do any fixing... want to see it though, cant wait to install it :P). Then on the 8th I will schedule an appointment and go to the apple store. That way I can make 1 trip. I plan on getting my ipod touch replaced, the battery for some reason doesnt hold a charge too well, last night on wifi the youtube app drained 25% in 20 minutes.

So my iMac will be the same as the new one that will be released this year,
Or will I have to buy a new iMac to get all these new updates ??
It would be a shame if I did because my iMac is only 6months old if that ..
Kind regards Simon Trott Apple user and proud of it

We're not allowed to speculate on future or rumoured Apple products, but we all know there'll always be newer tech coming along.
The iMac you have is an excellent machine, be happy with it and get a good few years use out of it. By the time your machine is slowing down, whatever comes next will have been updated numerous times.
    I had the 2011 i5 27" delivered about 3 weeks ago. It's a cracking machine

  • I have one iPad that will connect to our wifi but I have another one that will not, why is that

I have an iPad that will not connect to the wifi at our house. My sister also has an iPad and it connects automatically. Mine is the only one that will not. I can't figure how to get it to work. I have taken my iPad other places with wifi and it connects right away. I know that some wifi systems have a limit on how many things can connect to them but I have even gone so far as turn off the wifi on every device that we have that connects to the wifi and it still doesn't work. I don't know what to do or how to get it to work?

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks  http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304
iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • Does anyone know of a VI or how to go about writing one that will prevent the computers time/date from being disabled while an application is running.

Does anyone know of a VI or how to go about writing one that will prevent the computers clock/time from being disabled while an application is running. The time and date can normally be reset while an application is running by clicking on the time/date in the lower right-hand corner of the computer screen. I have an application that runs over several days and it is critical that the time and date of the computer not be changed. Is there an easy way to lock this out from the user? Note that I am what I consider an advanced beginner in LV.
    Thank you,
    Chuck

That is not something you can do from LabVIEW, as it is an operating system operation, and it will depend on the operating system that you're using. On Windows you can use a group policy to control this. Please Google on "prevent time and date change in windows".

  • How can I get rid of this constant popup "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action that was performed earlier"? Thanks

I'm an avid eBay seller and shopper. Every time I move from one of my items back to my eBay main page I get this pop up "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action that was performed earlier." How do I disable the message? Running current version of Firefox for windows and Vista.

Are you getting that anytime you visit a page? Or after you hit the 'refresh', 'back' or 'forward' button?
This error is not usually an error telling you that anything is broken, it's warning you that you are re-doing something you have already done. The page that you are trying to re-access, or refresh was a page that was doing something. Maybe you told the page to search for something, or you were filling out a form, or perhaps doing something like adding something to a shopping cart. Firefox warns you in case it's something you really don't want to do again; for example, accidentally buying a second toaster, or re-sending a comment form.
If you only were searching or navigating around a page, it's generally ok to press the 'Resend' button.
This safety feature is not unique to firefox, I can't offhand think of a browser that doesn't have it (though the wording may vary).
However, if you are getting it constantly, every page you visit, on every website, all the time, then it's a bug.

  • Why does the iPad make the same noise when it connects to a charger that doesn't charge it as one that will charge it???

Why does the iPad make the same noise when it connects to a charger that doesn't charge it as one that will charge it???
I would expect that it would make an unusual noise if plugged into a generic USB charger that does not have enough oomph to charge a pad to alert you - otherwise, you might think the noise is reassuring that you are actually charging it.

I guess my question was actually more of a comment on the (lack of) design!  It is unusual that something like this would still be in an Apple product.  There are wall chargers that have a USB port on them that do not have the required oomph to charge the iPad.  I have one that has two USB ports, one for my iPhone  (it won't charge an iPad), and one for an iPad with greater amperage rating.  I accidentally used the wrong ones for a while yesterday, but noticed before being "surprised" the next morning by an uncharged iPad.  The iPad is smart enough to say "Not charging" by the battery icon when it is plugges in to one of these, so it "knows" - seems like it would be fairly simply to have the iPad make a different or additional noise  wehn it puts up the "Not charging" text icon.  Failsafe user experience?

  • 11g, To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat

    Hi,
I've got a problem with ADF / Jdev 11g. When user tries to navigate to another page (using navigation panels and navigation cases), we gat firefox message:
"To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.".
After that, FF tries to reload page indefinitely. Any ideas what's the problem?

    Hi!
From my experience, yoou propably have some error in code from which you retrieve data. On example, when I had a typo mistake in pageDef methodIterator binding the ejb session method (some how I messed the pageDef source code so the methodIterator def was wrong). Also, it may hapen if you have some HierTree bidning which binds the non-existing attribs and children. Most offten such "white page" errors without any messages in log are caused by poor error catching/reporting in ADFm - many errors are just catched but not reported in log.
I would first put some brakepoints in code from which you are getting your data, then recreate table bindings and all related bindings in pageDef.
    Regards,
    PaKo

  • Every time my browser refreshes I get the pop-up To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier. Resend Cancel" How do I get rid it?

It has never done this before. I play a game that constantly refreshes the page & have never had problems before until yesterday. I have looked in tools and there's nothing in the option section that will let me stop it. Is there somewhere else to look?

Perhaps someone should report this to MarketWatch. There are ways for web developers to work around this issue (GET after POST, for example).
This is a longstanding issue. Examples:
[https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/668932 how do i stop this-To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.?]
[https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/780884 To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier]
In past discussions about this message, I have never seen an easy solution. Arguably it should be made a user preference: those who prefer to be warned about the risk that they will double-submit a transaction or instruction on a poorly designed site can have their warning, and those who prefer to take their chances can take their chances. Not sure whether that is on anyone's "to do" list.
Separate issue: I wasn't aware of any difference between 3.6.12 and 3.6.13, but both are riddled with security vulnerabilities so it's hard to recommend using either of them at this point.

  • How do I stop this pop up ----To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.

It happens every time I reload a facebook app any app really and its really pissing me off the constant problems.

You Can't? PPFT! I was just gone on vacation ( Aug 12 2011), got back and now I'm getting this, "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier" I was in a forum that I always go to (not at a merchandise website) and have NEVER had this message there or any where! I'm not about to load a bunch of tabs just so I can look back and forth. It seems Fire Fox has updated behind my back and now it's all messed up. I don't thing people would be complaining about it if it wasn't something unusual that just happened.

  • I have an iphone 4s, I installed Vtok but the video chatting part of the app is not working when I try to chat with my husband through gmail on his PC. Can I fix this or is there another app that will let me chat with my gmail chat contacts?

Vtok video chatting is not working on my iphone 4s. When I try to do a video chat with my gmail chat contacts who are using a PC we each only get the voice part of the chat and no video. Is there some way to fix this or is there another program that will let me video chat with my gmail chat contacts? Thank you.

    You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

  • Does anyone know a converter from the new iTunes TV/movie file type to one that will work on my 5th generation iPod video?

I just tried to load some new TV shows from my iTunes onto my 5th generation iPod video and it says the video format is not supported. I currently have dozens of TV shows and movies on the iPod, I just wanted to put some new stuff on there. So I need to know if there is anyway of converting the new iTunes video format into one that will run on my 5th generation iPod.
    Thnaks in advanced.

When you drag a movie from the Media Browser to the Time lIne in GarageBand, you will see a pop-up "Extracting Audio".
The Movie and the audio file will appear in separate tracks. You can copy the audio region from the sound track to a different track to keep it safe and then hide the Movie track.

When playing my fb game KoC I need to refresh a lot and every time I do I get this message: To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier. How can I disable this message?

Just give us a means of opting out if we don't care about POST data; or opting out for certain web sites. We have an application that I use hundreds of times a day at work and as a result, I get that message hundreds of times. Opening new tabs doesn't help because I'd have to open numerous tabs, and then it takes time to figure out which tab is the "back" tab.
