Is this a bug, or is there a workaround? Reconnecting/dates problem

Using PE7 with 11,627 pictures in the catalog. I've recently moved the location of all of my pictures to a new directory on my hard drive, but didn't utilize PE7's Move tool. Knowing that PE7's Reconnect tool would relink the images, I chose to do it this way.
So, in the Organizer, I double-click on a thumbnail, PE7 quickly reconnects it, BUT upon its reconnection, PE7 CHANGES the date that I have previously entered for this picture.
For example, I double-click on a picture for which I've assigned August 16, 1975 as the date. When it reconnects this picture, it resets the date to November 22, 2007.
WHY?
The File Properties for this picture now says that it was created on 11/27/2008, and modified on 11/22/2007. This doesn't make sense either.
Can someone please help?

You've encountered a new variant of a long-standing bug in several PSE versions (well, new to me, anyway). See this FAQ for details:

I think your only workaround is to move your files back to their original locations and then move them using PSE's Display > Folder Location view or File > Move. If you continue to use Reconnect, you'll lose all the dates you've set with Edit > Adjust Date And Time.

Sticking notes problem - is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

does anyone have any advice for stopping "sticking midi notes" when played using a midi keyboard?
I think the instrument my friend has been having trouble with is specifically the evb6 and notes sticking - with the only way for him to remedy the situation is by starting and stopping the transport play.
He has tried two midi controllers: an old midi keyboard and a yamaha 1100. Both recreate the issue.
I have tried replicating it on my setup with an oxygen 8 - can't seem to make notes stick the way he describes.
He wants to use Logic live - so obviously this would be unacceptable. I'm gonna take a look through his Logic setup when i see him and wanted to know if anyone has any advice or tips on this one.

p.s i should mention he is on a macbook pro - logic pro 7.2.x (i'll find that out) and os 10.4.8 i think.

don't have to read your post, as title says it all.
got the same prob here from day one.
given up on it.
also logic doesn't handle mono mode - same key/note repeated with overlaps.
my old roland midi sequencer did this properly over 15yrs ago.

I solved my problem,
Definitely a bug in syncing through itunes.
- Connect Iphone with MacBook Pro through USB
- Go to iphone on itunes, photos, deselect photo synchronization.
- Sync (all pics will be removed from iphone)
- Close itunes, iphoto, disconnect iphone
- Select in finder: (home)-pictures-iphoto library.
- Sec click on iphoto library and choose "show package contents"
- Delete iPod Photo Cache
- Close finder
- Empty trash
- Reconnect iphone
- Allow photo synchronization again and everything works smooth.
After this, changes made in iphoto are instantaneously reflected in iphone photos.
Once every hundred photos, one gets detached from iphoto and then changes are no longer reflected (buggy) :-(
In this case I erase the photo in iphoto, sync, go back to iphoto trash, reestablish the photo from the trash and sync again.
Hope this improves. Still have to try cloud though.

The new version of Firefox does not seem to allow multi-touchscreen pinch/zoom feature. Is this a bug or is there something I can do to fix the problem? Thanks.

Since the new version of Firefox (which I love, esp the reduced menu bars at the top, leaving more web page viewable space), I am unable to use the multi-touch pinch/zoom function to resize pages. the scrolling still works, and all worked fine before.
Is this a bug or is there something I can do to fix it?

Not a fix but if it's just a web site here and there that you find yourself using the pinch zoom feature you can use the IE Tab 2 addon to automatically use the ie engine and the zoom works.
You lose the other firefox features on those pages but as I said, if it's just a few sites it's worth a look.
I sure hope the Mozilla community fixes this in their desktop PC version soon. You can't gripe if it's free so I just keep waiting. :)
Their android and iOS version supports it so why not the PC version?

FF5 is not showing v3 Google street panoramas. Is this webGL thing? Is there a workaround?

FF5 on Mac OS 10.6.7: Panorama tiles for Google maps v3 aren't displaying (even in Google example files in there developer site). Is this something to do with the cross domain image texture thing (I think v3 uses webGL is it can) or something else? Is there a workaround/solution? V2 works, but that's using flash

How pervasive is this regex bug? Is there an official bug ID?

Oracle has a bug in their regular expression handling in 10g 2 and 11g 2. Is this bug also in XE? If so, does it have a bug number I can reference? I don't have support, I'm just evaluating Oracle Database offerings for our company.

Despite that, I wonder how it comes you have SQL*Plus 11.2.0.1.0 on your machine, because XE ships with 11.2.0.2. But this has no impact on your issue...
but there is nothing that suggest `b.*,` shouldn't pick up `qux`. I'm not sure about that. It's a question of where your "preceding" definition ends and how you interprete the documentation. See the differences (or no difference) when using subgroups to separate greedy and nongreedy operators explicitly, e. g.
select regexp_substr('foo, bar, qux, ','.*?(b.*,)') from dual;
-- or even
select regexp_substr('foo, bar, qux, ','(.*?b)(.*,)') from dual; return foo, bar,, which would fit the "first string to match" strategy documented for regexp_substr.
On the other hand, you could enforce the behaviour you seem to expect with making the greedy subgroup explicit.
select regexp_substr('foo, bar, qux, ','.*?b(.*,)') from dual;
-- or
select regexp_substr('foo, bar, qux, ','(.*b)(.*?,)') from dual; will return your complete string.
Of course, you can always argue on whether you should "reuse" characters for different groups when evaluating the regex. From my personal experience, using explicit subgroups helps structuring (and understanding) your regex and makes moving through different implementations easier...
I'm trying to push for Oracle but bugs like this make it hard for me to use the argument that Oracle is relatively bug free.This is mostly a point of view, as your "relatively" indicates...

This always bugged me, is there a fix? Selecting Objects

I went a long time working on Flash projects and not Motion and I've been back in Motion 3 for a couple of weeks and there's something about it that bugs the heck out of me and I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious:
I have a project with lots of layers and I have a new layer on top and when I click on the object in that layer, which is the top layer, Motion selects the background layer which is locked and at the very bottom. I click right on the image on the top layer and for some reason Motion thinks I want the locked object that is underneath the object on top that I actually clicked on.
Does anyone else experience this?

I always use the Layers tab to select layers, or expose - hit the X key to spread out all the layers in the Canvas, and select the one you want.

Indesign CS5 fails to package all links into the links folder, is this a bug? Is there a fix?

Indesign packaging leaves out some links, even though files are linked correctly prior to packaging. I am currently working on Indesign CS5, Mac 0S X, Version 10.5.8.

I had a problem with links on the master pages not being packaged. I found this and did the 7.0.3 Adobe update but no success.
I tried a few more web searches and found this

which is sort of the same problem.
The gist is to enlarge the slug area to the max (152.4mm or whatever that is in your preferred units). It seems that package ignores anything that has part of it on the pasteboard.
This is a pain when you only want to collect the active items but I expect someone at Adobe will sort this out in due course.

Replaced an older IMac that had OS snow leopard and could run microsoft Office 2004 for Mac. I'm told that this version of Office for Mac will not run on OS mountain lion. Is this true? or is there a workaround?

The dirty little secret that they are keeping from you, is YES, there is a way to continue to use Microsoft Office's Word 2004 in Mountain Lion!
It is to install Snow Leopard Server into Parallels 8 on your new Mac and then install and run Word 2004 there:

Personally I hate the way Microsoft has changed Word 2008 and Word 2011, because I was 100% comfortable with how Word 2004 was setup and utilized. There is a learning curve to both of these upgrades and a more steeper one to the "free" alternatives that were suggested to you.
In a perfect world, you should upgrade to Office 2011; I did (actually it was a gift, but the price was not an object for me anyway). But the world is not perfect...
So, if, like me, there are times that you are most comfortable operating in the Word 2004 environment, my suggestion offers you a easy, stable, relatively inexpensive means to continue to do so in Mountain Lion.

Is this a BUG??? Database Export not including Foreign Key Constraints

I'm using SQL Developer 1.5.4 with both the 59.47 and 59.59 patches installed. I want to do a database export from a 10g XE schema, and include all objects in the resulting DDL. So, I select ALL the checkboxes in the export wizard and when I get to Step 3 to specify objects, I don't see any of my constraints in the listbox... no foreign key constraints, no primary key constraints, no check constraints, nothing. Is this a bug, or is there a workaround, or what could I possibly be doing wrong? We want to be able to use the database export feature to easily transport and track modifications to our entire schema using source control compare.
Any help or alternate suggestions would be apprieciated.

Thanks skutz, we just figured that out this morning. Also, it should be noted that you need to be logged in as the owner of the schema otherwise selecting nothing in the filter will give you nothing, but selecting items in the filter will give you those items even if you're not connected as the schema owner. I wonder if that is the detail of the Bug 8679318.

Is this a BUG in VS 2013?

A behavior of VS 2013 that is bothering me, is that when publishing a web app, if there is a compile error, the error window lists the errors. Sometimes when I click on the error line to bring up the source file, it loads a file from a path that looks like
this: "c:\Users\<AccountName>\AppData\Local\Temp\WebSitePublish\<projectkey>\obj\Debug\AspnetCompileMerge\Source\App_Code\sourcefilename.cs. I can't say how many times I've blithely edited this file, thinking it was my project source. This
wastes a lot of time, and I don't recall any of my previous VSs doing this. Is this a bug? Is there an option setting I am missing?

OBIEE 10G Total by in answers not correct for count distinct fields. Is this a bug?

For example:
Sales fact has receipt no and line no as key. It has data like:
receipt no, line no, value
1, 1, 30
1, 2, 40
2, 1, 10
2, 2, 10
There is also a transaction field defined as count distinct of receipt no (in BMM)
In answers, I set to show Total.
without any filters:
receipt no, value, transactions
1, 70, 1
2, 20, 1
total: 90, 2
Transactions is 2, which is correct.
If apply filter of transaction value greater than 50.
Then transactions in total will still show 2
1, 70, 1
total: 70, 2
Is this a bug? It looks only SUM works no problem in the total by.

I did look at the physical query and saw how it calculated the Total transactions and it didn't take into account of the filter of transaction value greater than 50. Don't know why though. I don't know why you want to count line no. The result would be still 2.

There is a limiting factor that's easy to miss.
• FREE SPACE on Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk
When this goes low then iMovie, Mac OS and all applications runs into problems. So to get a safe way to work (for me) I set a minimum that I try to never go lower than. (Sorry for strange sentence)
I never let my Mac (Macintosh HD) go lower than 25GB free space. If it does - then I move away things to an external hard disk (always Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - as nothing else will do for VIDEO)
Else - in iDVD Time is the limiting factor. (iMovie - I never run into any - my monster Vacation epos is >>6 hours)
iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones
• Professional Quality
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)
• Best Performances
(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)
• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)
(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.
About double on DL DVDs.
