Is This a Case of "We're The Phone Company We Don't have to Care?"

My company has a business plan with 5 cell phones, 1 mifi, and 1 netbook.  We have had an account with Verizon Wireless since they have been in business and have had some kind of satellite internet device since they first come out.  I mention that because that is where my problem is.  That satellite device (now a mifi) always has had an unlimited data plan on it and although they do no offer that plan anymore as long as I did not cancel or change that plan I could keep that plan.  I have never changed that plan, however last year when I upgraded 2 of the cell phones a Verizon employee inadvertently entered the wrong phone number and changed the mifi number to a cell phone.  When he corrected his mistake my unlimited data plan was gone.  I have officially requested it back and have been refused that plan.  I think this is unfair and am waiting for my cell phone service contract to expire on all my phones so I can go to AT&T but am getting some opposition within the company saying that the coverage is not as good.  Any feed back on that?  I ultimately make the decision.  I may move over the ones that have expired and do a trial run.

Here's my take - and just my opinion, so do with it what you will ... all this happened months ago, and you have been trying to get the unlimited data back for the mifi and it hasn't happened for whatever reason(s).  It's not likely to be resolved with unlimited being put back, and you won't get unlimited at AT&T either.  Eventually the mifi will be upgraded/replaced, and then the unlimited would be gone anyway, so all this would be moot.
If you are otherwise satisfied with the coverage and service for the business, and the feeling within the company is that AT&T coverage is not as good, the correct business decision (IMHO, again) is to stick with Verizon.  You won't gain anything by moving to AT&T, certainly not unlimited service, and you may lose some confidence among employees who are content with Verizon service.
