All my esteemed fellows are correct!!
In this order
Per Klaus1 -
read the article Identifying fraudulent "phishing" email as it includes how to get the important info from the internet header
easiest to FORWARD the email to [email protected] with header info pasted - Apple needs this to track 'em down
Per Barry Hemphill and seventy one - DELETE with prejudice

    Smells rather "phishy" to me.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.  This person receiving my email,  while on a Mac with Safari is reading their mail through Safari using Horde--our recent discovery.  Why they chose to do that in unclear. The last email we sent, however, was miraculously read and received and  the attachment was viewed with no problem after we told them our mail was coming from a Mac thriugh Apple Mail.  It seems that telling them that our emails were coming from a Mac and using Apple Mail was enough to make them think that perhaps THEY were doing something not quite right. Thank you both, Level 7 and Level 5.
But thank you especially for the meteorologists in the UK for putting forth the correct routes for Sandy these last days, you probably saved a lot of lives.

  • How do you mark a message as spam when your mail comes from gmail via OS X Mail.app?

How do you mark a message as spam when your mail comes from gmail via OS X Mail.app?
I use IMAP to get Gmail. I seem to remember seeing a "[Gmail]/Spam" IMAP folder in previous versions of the app, but that's not visible any more.
Without this, I have to log on to the web-based Gmail to mark messages as spam, that's a productivity killer.

right mouse click on a message and select Mark as Junk Mail

    Hi,
If you are wondering, how BAPIs/RFCs come into XI system then below are few points to be considered.
    1. First of all there should be a connection between XI & R3 system to communicate with each other.
    2. Scecondly the BAPIs/RFCs in R3 system should be "Remote enabled".
    3. Login to Integratin Repository then open your corresponding namespace and expand Imported Objects then right click on RFCs and press continue. It will ask you to provide the IP address, User ID & passord of R3 system. Once you provide the correct authonication details it will return al list of all BAPIS/RFCs present in R3 system. Just select you BAPI and continue. Once it is done you can see you corresponding BAPI under Imported objects.
I hope the above information will help you.
    Regards,
    Sarvesh

  • Who knows where does this error message come from

I have a program wrote with visual age java of ibm.it runs ok in develope page. I exported it in a jar file, it run some minutes and abrrupted with a message like this:
*** panic: 16-bit string hash table overflow
    abnormal program termination
who knows where does this error message come from and under which circumstance?

One thing that comes to mind is that the literal string pool is limited - do you have lots of string literals or itern() lots of strings in your code?

  • E-mail disappeared from Apple Mail in Mavericks

    Hello,
I think I experienced a bug yesterday in Apple Mail (I am running Mac OS X 10.9):
While organizing my e-mails, I made a new folder in my iCloud account in Apple Mail. Let's call it "Apple". Then I used the search function to find the e-mails (within my iCloud account) with a certain keyword (let's say "Pear") in order to transfer those e-mails to the "Apple" folder.
I dragged the first "Pear" conversation into the "Apple" folder. The conversation then disappeared briefly from the search results. At that moment I wanted to select the second "Pear" conversation, but in the meantime the first "Pear" conversation had been processed in the "Apple" folder and reappeared in the search results.
So I accidentally clicked again on the first "Pear" conversation and dragged it again to the "Apple" folder (even though it was already filed there) and at that moment the whole conversation disappeared. I did not manage to retrieve the messages from this conversation thereafter. I looked for them with Spotlight, in the trash, I restarted Apple Mail... Then I tried to rescue them from my iPhone but the disappearance had already synchronized to iCloud and deleted them from my phone as well.
As they are all recent messages I can't retrieve them from my Time Machine, as I only backup once a week. Furthermore, I was able to reproduce the behavior on other e-mails by using the search function and dragging an e-mail to its own folder again.
    Can anyone else reproduce this?
And does anyone know how to proceed in order to retrieve the e-mails? They were not yet on my Time Machine as they are all very recent e-mails, but they are replies to my wedding save the date message so would like them back very much....
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm practically Amish when it comes to this stuff so I'm limited to opening and deleting (I've got a ton of e mails in my deleted account and its not there either.
    Thank you for the input

  • Where did this Spam folder come from and how to I "un-spam" emails?

    Hello
I have my email account setup on my iPhone via POP. There is no spam folder on my email server.
Yesterday I noticed hundreds of emails in a spam folder in the folder list on my iPhone. When I log into my webmail this folder is no there, therefore I am thinking the iPhone has created it.
Firstly, how do I stop it from doing this?
Secondly, emails in there are from people who have successfully emailed me in the past without getting filtered into spam so how do I un-spam emails?
Is this spam a new iOS4 feature?
Ultimately I can resetup my email as IMAP but that will delete all the emails in this folder and I don't want to do that (so I suppose I'm going to have to manually move them all right?)
    Many thanks for your help
    Ken

If you are using Gmail, it is the All Mail label that has always existed, but Snow Leopard didn't show it.
You can disable it in Gmail's settings under Labels. Set it to not show in IMAP.
Some people experience problems when doing that, though. I did not.
I set up my Gmail as shown in this blog post: http://jeffschuette.com/2012/03/07/setting-up-apple-mail-to-rock-and-roll-with-g mail/
I didn't want Gmail storing emails that I had deleted, so I used his setup to stop it, and I also hid the All Mail folder from Mail.

  • Scam emails that appear to come from apple?

Recently received an email from 'Apple' as an alert stating my account was accessed from a device that had never been used before and that the device was in Indonesia... Obviously rings alarm bells but the email just doesn't 'look' right to me. I've received these emails before after using my iPhone, iPad, my girlfriends iPhone etc on my Apple ID. This just looks different but I have no email address for anyone in apple that I could forward it to in order to check its validity... Not followed the 'click here' link on the email obviously. Has anyone. Any experience of this?! Thanks.

Have you checked the purchase history on your account : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
If it shows on there then contact iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If it doesn't then you can forward the email to Apple at this address : [email protected]

  • Verify that this is correct procedure from Apple

Why is apple e-mailing me to verify my account?  And why will I be locked out if I do not do so within 48 hours?
    Is this normal practice?

No, that email is a scam to steal your personal information. It is not from Apple.
    Delete it.

  • IPad Mail messages from Apple mail

New ipad getting 10,000 old messages from Apple Mail application (or Comcast server). How do I stop it and get only new messages as of today?

These are emails stored in the Sent folder in Mail, in 2 email accounts. Some are quite old, some recent. In addition, the Mail Inboxes were emptied, leaving only those emails that had been unopened. Those still on the server (I looked at Get Account Info in mail on different Mac to identify which) were downloaded and are in place in the ipad . In short, those lost were emails received and sent, stored locally on the ipad.
When I did the update, it said there was an error so I had to backup and restore, via itunes. I thought emails would be backed up in this proces. I don't use icloud. Thanks
