Is this a more financial-able way to get the iPhone?
I have a terrible env touch and I'm not due for an upgrade until the end of november 2011. I realize that if I want the iPhone now, I'd have to buy it at the retail price for $650. However, I know that I can cancel my line and then open a new line for $10 and they'll give me the iPhone for $200, right?
I think the verizon helper my dad was talking to told him that to cancel my current line, it'd be a $125 cancellation fee ... but I was reading on the internet that it's $175? Can someone clarify which one it is? I know for a smartphone it's $350 but obviously the env touch isn't a smartphone.
So i'm figuring, $125 cancellation fee, $10 for a new line, $214 (tax) for the iphone will all add up to $349... this is surely a better way to go than to pay $700 for the iPhone -- then again this plan seems too good to be true, can anyone elaborate?

i tend to believ the 60 day rule and think that you got lucky with a rep that didn't know what he or she was doing. the reason i think this is because i COULD SWEAR that last night 2-3 people posted that they did this as well. now those posts are gone? and the ones pointing to the 60 day rule are here. just my theory. there are also other threads on this topic and they all seemed to state that there is a 60 period that, if you try to open a new account, verizon just reinstates the old contract.

The App store is a iOS function and cannot be deleted. Try checking other home screens/folders and see if you can locate it. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

You must go in the labview option menu, you can select 'use the local
separator' in the front side submenu (LV6i).
If you use the "From Exponential/Fract/Eng" vi, you are able to select this
opton (with a boolean) without changing the labview parameters.

When I open about this mac -> more info and I switch through the tabs (display,memory,storage,support,service) it lags (fps drops, animation looks choppy not smooth) even though all the mac (programs , interface ) works smooth . Why does this happen? (over 300 gb free,same programs installed,free desktop-downloads -no garbage there- everything neat and tidy.) Need some help. Only there it the animations goes like 2 fps and is not smooth. I do not understand why because the programs are the same so its the usage. Nothing is changed, yet i experience this little issue for a couple of days.

I work for the County and we purchased a copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2 long ago. The person that did the order is no longer here. All I have is the CD Disk that is new but i did not know the key code is. Is there a way to get the keycode for this?
It would not work anyway. The activation servers have been retired and Adobe has provided a new CS2 download along with a new serial number for CS2 owners.

i have a screen with the apple logo on it and a bar underneath it. it has been this way for about an hour now. what does this mean and is there a way to reset the iphone without going into the store? it isnt showing in my computer or on the itunes page.

I have photos on an old 2nd generation ipod nano, that have since been wiped from any other source.
I now have a shared photostream through icloud between all my other apple deivces (iphone, ipod, ipad, macbook air, apple tv), but I cant find a way to get the ipod nano photos onto the stream. The original photo files were detroyed with an old computer, that also had the itunes library to which the nano was linked.
The photos are the only items I want from the nano. Can anyone help?You need to copy the photos off of the Nano and onto your MacBook Air first.
The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos. So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

I am using a JAXP SAX xml parser and am looking for a way to get the actual line of xml that is being parsed from within a content handler.
Here's my scenario. Consider the following example xml document.

</formCollection>My hope is to validate the entire document and then insert an xml string containing each "form" element (and its sub-elements) into a map for later use. The user can select form1, select form1 again, select form4, and select form7 (or any other combination) and bring up tabs that display the different forms. The user can then enter data and submit each form separately. When the user selects File -> New -> FormX, a SWT ScrolledForm object that corresponds with FormX must be given to the display. Because SWT ScrolledForm objects do not allow a deep copy, I cannot simply read the XML <form> elements at initialization, parse them into ScrolledForm objects, and pass deep copies of the ScrolledForm objects to the display each time the user clicks File -> New -> FormX. The only simple way I see of getting a new copy of a ScrolledForm object is to reparse the appropriate XML <form> element in order to create one each time the user selects File -> New -> FormX. As such, one handler would need to read the entire XML document and parse the <form> elements into a map (or some other data structure) and another handler would need to parse individual <form> elements into SWT ScrolledForm objects. The first handler would be called at initialization and the second handler would be called each time a user clicked on File -> New -> FormX. Once again, this isn't exactly my favorite implementation... but seems the simplest given that there is no way to do a deep copy of an SWT ScrolledForm object. Hopefully that makes a little more sense. No worries if it doesn't -- I just figured I'd throw this out there and see if anyone had a better idea. -
In have a DLINK 524 and bought recently (march/2013) an airport express to extend my WI-Fi network. I triedmany ways to get the connection but it was impossible. Is really possible to get this connection ? If it is, what is the necessary setup and orientations that I have to follow ?
ThanksApple designed their "extend" feature as a proprietary function to work with other Apple routers, so it's extremely unlikely that the AirPort Express would be able to wirelessly extend your D-Link network.
If you can connect the AirPort Express to the D-Link router using a wired Ethernet connection, the Express can likely be configured to provide more wireless coverage that way. -
My macbook is 4 years old, i havent bought any upgrades but now i cant download the new itunes. Can i buy one upgrade and will it work or is there a way to get the new itunes?
Even a four-year-old MacBook should have come with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Leopard can run the latest version of iTunes; it will download and install pretty much automatically if you run Software Update.
You might first have to be sure that you are running the latest version of Leopard, which is 10.5.8. This, too, will download and install for you if you run Software Update. Just keep running Software Update until there is nothing left to download and install (you might have to run it more than once because some updates require previous updates to be installed first).
If you have a version of Mac OS X earlier than 10.5, then you can't run the latest version of iTunes. You will need to buy a more recent version of Mac OS X. You must be running at least 10.4 Tiger, and you can upgrade directly to Snow Leopard from Tiger. Apple still sells Snow Leopard for about $30 and you might find it slightly less at a retailer or on eBay. After upgrading to Snow Leopard, you will be able to upgrade to Lion using the Mac App Store for another $30 or so if your MacBook meets the minimum system requirements. -

I need to obtain an image's attributes such as dimensions (height, width in pixels) without placing image in indesign document.
I have full path of the image (say abc.jpg is stored at c:\my pic\abc.jpg).
I have obtained the IDFile for this image, tried getting size using GetFileSize() which correctly return size in bytes.
Is there any way to get the height/width of image without importing it in the indesign document.
Please, give me some hints. I have spent quite a lot time digging in CHM. I have searched in FileUtils, IDFile API's but found no method which serves this purpose.
At this point I am clueless where to search next.
Any help will be appriciated.
Just a point to mention, I am able to get image height and width for an image in indesign doc though Its not my requirement.

D.You might be able to examine the contents of the PlaceGun after calling kImportAndLoadPlaceGunCmdBoss without actually placing the image in a document. Not sure, but would be worth looking at.
Otherwise you will probably have to write platform specific code, ideally with a generic platform-independant wrapper (see SDKSamples/paneltreeview/PlatformFileSystemIterator).
For the Mac, look at CGImageGetWidth() etc., not sure what the best option is for windows.
Perhaps Quicktime could provide you with a platform independant solution. -
What is the best way to get the pixel brightness
I have a gray-scale .png image. The pixel brightness is used to communicate the information that i need in my application. Note that i do not show this image in my application, the png file is only used to communicate data. Since this data is being collected as an image at the source we are using a png file to pass around this data. The code is given below

brightness data directly ?)For a greyscale image, the R G abd B values are all the same, and the brightess is simply that value divided by the maximum value. You could create a brightness map in advance which is simply a 256 element array that maps an RGB value to a brightness:
