Hey all.. I got a X-Fi Fatality Pro.. with X-Ram some weeks ago... and I had tried everything that people say in the forums and in the net... about how to make this card works... but the card doesnt work.. to tell you more... they dont even let the computer boot to POST...
Things I check up...
Diferent PCI Slots
Internal sound card off
Change video card to diferent PCIE slots...
PSU load,, I try to run the computer with out the HD and such... also tested if it was the HD this way....
Updated to the newest BIOS.
and the biggest test of all.... I place the X-Fi on another computer.. and they work just fine.. OMG!
So i have to ask... is there any secret to make X-Fi + 8800gtx.. work? I also have M2R32-MVP

Hmm... in some cases, you need to set the AAS (AGP Aperture Size) bigger (by the graphics memory, IIRC).
If that does not help then take the POST message and come back.

Hard Drive: The Hard Drive is on my camera (Sony Handycam)
Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.

Open up your PC and do some measuring in parallel with the PCI-E x16 slot to see how long of a video card will fit. The slot adjacent to the PCI-E x16 slot needs to be vacant. The video card that you are looking at is 9.8" in length according to this information. If that card is too long then look at this EVGA GT 560 video card.
The 300 watt power supply in your PC does not have sufficient power for the ASUS 560. You are going to need a 500+ watt power supply.

today I managed to install an applet onto the Samsung S3CC9P9 card.
I want to avoid that anybody will have the same problem like me, since it's not necessary to have...
I used:
Javacard Development Kit 2.2.1 (JCDK2.2.1)
JDK1.3.1_01
Just create an applet with JCDK2.2.1 and JDK1.3.1_01 and notice the packageAid and Applet AID from opt-file.
I recommend to run the HelloWorld example, since it runs on my card.
After having the cap, open JCOP Tools and type into JCOP Shell:

Authenticate to card using the button in the shell
delete A00000006203010C0101
delete A00000006203010C01

/select A00000006203010C0101In my example, the appid is A00000006203010C0101 and the pkgid is A00000006203010C0101
First authenticate to card (the samsungs use SCP01) and then you should try do delete the applet-aid and then the package-aid.
In JCOP Tools you won't see which physical cap files are loaded. (in combination with the samsung's)
In my testings i have only seen the loaded cap files on JCOP10, JCOP21 and JCOP41 cards.
That's why you should try to delete first, even it's not visual to you in this step.
If you don't do that you will get an error trying to load the cap.
After that you must upload the applet with the -c param!
NOTICE: If you don't do so you will not be able to install the applet, since it will respond with Wrong Data!!!
And that's the point! Samsung cards expect the Cap Fille to be loaded component wise.
Most Tools like Gpshell, Smartcardshell and of cource JCOP Tool (standard configuration) try to load blocks of 256 bytes in length.
You can define another block length to instructs the tools to upload with, but this won't help.
If you want to know what componentes are. Just rename your cap file for example to zip and extract the data.
You will see files like (header.cap, import.cap,.., and so on). Those cap files are the componentes.
The components store some worthful information like the pkgAID (in header.cap last bytes) and the appletAID(in Applet.cap more or less at the end of the file)
You can find more about them in the javacard-specification. You can open the componentes with an hexeditor.
If you don't know the packageAID and AppletAid just study the components ;)
The most tools are trying to upload two or more components in one APDU command, but samsung cards require for EACH COMPONENT AN OWN APDU! (you don't have to understand this, but you can just use the -c param in jcop tools). Maybe you can use some of the tools from the JCDK to upload the cap componentwize, but i don't know how to it with that. Then you wouldnot need jcop tools, if you can't get it.
After that you have to install the applet with the "install" command. (just see my first code block)
Finally you can select your applet!
Dont try these things, else your card will be maybe damaged.
I have got 6 cards and only 1 is working, because of my experiments.
The others are not working anymore.
you should take care of the following:
1) Don't try to upload an applet with Gpshell
2) Dont try to upload an applet with SmartCardShell
3) Dont try to upload an apllet with standardconfiguration in JCOP ToolsIf you do it, you will probably get the following erros:
6F00 (no precis diagnosis) on any command you execute
Card Manager AID not selectable anymore (hardware chip communication error)or for instance (the error 64 3A means, that you have too much packackes uploaded on card, even if there is not anyone uploaded)
Start loading Header.cap (26 byte)

I got this link for a convert program from this forum but I don't want to buy it unless I know its going to work. I already got QT pro just to find out that it didn't convert my files right and now i'm stuck with it.

The program is called Video Vault, it clames to convert DVDs, VCDs, SVCDs, Analog/Digital Camcorder Tapes. Files types = AVI, Mpeg1, Mpeg2, Mpeg4, ASF, WMV, DVR-MS, TIVO, VOB
Most of the video formats I have are AVIs and MPEG1s and nothing else seems to do it right so if anyone has used this program can you please tell me if it really works?

Ok, sorry. And yes, I just restored my iPhone as new and tried to put all the songs on there before I even restored with my previous backup, but it still does the same thing... even when I just checked the option to sync only "selected music or videos". How's that possible?
P.S. After I tried syncing with checked songs only, nothing showed up under Music on my phone and this message popped up in iTunes: "The iPhone "..." could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish." If you could, please tell me what that means, thanks.

Getting error message : the item Itunes.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work properly. I get this either using the start menu or the desktop shortcut. I tried going to programs /itunes and repair.

I think it is some sort of permissions issue preventing the installer from updating the shortcuts. Is your account an administrator of the machine? If it is and you still have the problem then you may need to explicitly use the "Administrator" account for the install.

If the problem persists, you'll probably have to make another apple id, it wont take off any games or music or apps or anything you've bought it will all stay there, i have two apple id's and i don't have a problem with anything.

Well turned out it is secured, but if you can't even highlight points, can you still refer to it as "interactive?"
The problem was that they furnished both a book and a PDF file which are identical and I am unable to understand the point. I would refer to the PDF as "flat" or "static" rather than "interactive." It seems redundant and I find the description misleading. It's also remarkably wasteful.
(Also, visualize the levels of efficiency between 1) scrolling through a PDF, highlighting certain points, and keyboarding comments vs 2) turning pages in a book, picking up a pen to highlight areas, and getting out the pen and paper to handwrite comments.)

It is unlikely that the power supply will fit/work in your HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop Computer. Please consider the Corsiar CX500, CX500M, CX600, and CX600M for your power supply needs. These power supplies are the same physical size as the factory unit and are known to fit and work in most HP full-sized consumer desktop computers.
There is a chance that the GTX 760 and other current generation video cards may not work in your computer. These newer cards typically require the computer to support the most current UEFI standards and many motherboards don't meet this criteria. Please know the return policy on any video card you purchase, in case it doesn't work. If the GTX 760 doesn't work, consider the GTX 650/660 Ti or equivalent AMD graphics card for your graphics card needs.

Hi, found, what looks like an interesting upgrade to my 2008 MacPro video. This card works with Windows, UNIX and FreeBSD (the code from which is very much in MAc OSX).. Anyone tried this card with success (or otherwise)?

Let's assume you are running 10.8.3 as there is more support.
What did you have? what is your budget?
"work" can mean, there is no boot screen but once the system is loaded it does.
Will the output display ports work, it all depends on how close it is to the ATI reference design Apple uses.
Are you planning to flash it? there are site forums that can help recommend cards.
And if you work with CS6 and want to use Mercury Engine and have CUDA then you want nVidia GTX series.
I would see what Mac supported cards MacVidCards on ebay has.
