Is this something Apple would send or Fake?
You haven't included an email or image in your post - to post an image use the camera icon at the top middle of the box that you use to type your post.
If the email isn't personalised (e.g. says something like 'dear customer' and not your name), and/or says something about your account being suspended if you don't click on a link in it, then it's a phishng attempt to get your account and payment details - in which case you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

.... The cancellation form is highlighted linked and it looks like apple but it asks for card details so I clicked it off. This happening yo anyone else?Check to see if there actually is a purchase for this app on your account. Open iTunes and login to your account. Click on the Purchased link in the Quick Links column to the right. Click the Apps "tab" then change the button at the right to "All".
If you see that app in the list, then someone actually did purchase that app against your account from another Apple device. If that's the case, change your Apple user ID password immediately!
Another check from iTunes is under the Quick Links area again. Click on Account. Under Puchase History, click See All. If a purchase was made against your account for that app, the title and its price will be listed. -

My current Apple ID, for which all of my content has been downoaded (e.g., music, apps) is associated with a work email address that I will no longer have access to in the near future. In my Apple ID account, I noticed I had two alternate emails listed, one is my .me account and the other is my .gmail account. I use my .gmail account, and it is the primary email I use with friends and family. I noticed both were not verified, and when I tried to, it said they were both associated with other accounts. I was able to log into a separate Apple ID account I must have set up at tone point with my .gmail, and I changed the email address to a new one I created. I also deleted the gmail account from any other Apple-relted account I could think of. I am still gettgin the same error message when I try to add it to my current Apple ID: "This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."
My concern is this: with FaceTime and now iMessage, it seems more important than ever that I am able to use my correct email address. With iOS5 beta, I cannot enter either my .gmail or.me accounts under "You can be reached for messages at:" as I get an error stating: Unable to verify email because it is already in use."

I just spoke with a technician at Apple. I hsven't been able to verify because the wife has the phone. but he said all that you need to do is:
1) Go to Settings --> iTunes Store and login with your Apple ID and pwd
2) Go to Settings --> iCloud and login with your Apple ID and pwd
seems that the phone requires you to login to the store first... -
when i want to create a face time it tells me to vertify my email address. When i go to do this i have to type in my apple ID and password on the Apple website, however when ever i do this i get a message saying Invalid account for this Email Address..

I am trying to change my Apple ID. Try to do this I keep getting an error message saying ‘This email address is designated as your rescue email address and cannot be used as your Apple ID or Primary email address. Please choose another.’ The email address that I want to use did use to be my recovery email but I have changed it, so that address is no lonegr associated with my account. I do not understand why I cannot use it as my Apple ID now. Can anyone help?

when i clicked on this link (being bold) my Norton protection blocked it saying it was a fradulent website. is this correct or is my antivirus just being too picky? nobody even knows my password and why the heck is this the only so called warning when i cant even contact apple like a normal person to ask them what is up without paying a buttload extra bunch of money for one dang question. just not sure if its legit or not.It is a phishing attempt. Not sure what you mean. Deleting a POP account only deletes the messages stored in the account’s mailboxes, not any messages stored in custom “On My Mac” mailboxes, if that’s what you mean. It’s not that Mail goes after your mail trying to delete as much as it can. It’s just that if a mail account is deleted, then its mailboxes cannot exist anymore...
That said, instead of deleting the account right away, you can just disable it (i.e. turn OFF Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account), leave it that way for some time, and delete it only after making sure you didn’t miss anything while the account was disabled.
BTW, if you back up your data, and the ~/Library/Mail folder in particular, you won’t have to worry about accidentally losing anything as a result of doing something like that...
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library. -
On my iCloud account I can see an alternate email ID which can be used to login to my account, this email ID does not belong to me so I need to delete it. Please advice the best possible way as it does. It show any option to delete that ID

please help meYes, I am having the same problem. When I called apple they said that things were "tied up somehow" with another account that has a do different birthday than me. Uuuuuhh? So that means someone else can log in?... I have a feeling there is a big vulnerability with the three login options, just like with the current and past password retrieval. Apple had only suggested that I delete my current set up on my serviced and make a new ID and email.
I Just got a new email and made a new Apple ID account For now. I was hoping the email would work itself out. I assumed If I could make sure everything was verified, not associated with another account, and try to get rid of the alternate id and second email option also used to sign in (seen in Apple ID management) that could possibly be construed or mixed up with something else that it would eventually free up and become "available" again. Unfortunately im still waiting In hopes in just needs to recognize the email isn't associated with anything.
I have had a few major concerns with apple products lately especially with security. My iPhone 4s was hacked too. Some ******* was listening/recording and when I hooked to Internet he sent out the recorded portion that was available. Talk about ****** up. -

1) Visit My Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com/.
2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.
3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password you used when creating the account.
4) Change the email address associated with your account.
5) Send new verification email
I also got this from apple CS for other things to try:
Please follow these steps to access your Apple ID accountinformation:
1) Visit My Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com/.
2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.
3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password youused when creating the account.
4) Delete any duplicate email addresses associated withyour account.
5) Click the Save Changes button.
If you do not have duplicate email addresses on your account, it is possible that your email address is already being used withanother Apple ID. In order to verify your email address with the current AppleID, it will need to be disassociated from your other Apple ID. You can do thatby following these steps:

2) Log in with your other Apple ID and password.
3) Select the Manage your account link.
4) Choose Name, ID, and Email Address from the left sideof the page.

Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID.". I try to log a call with apple support and I get a message like "cannot schedule a call". That leaves me out of options. Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues changing your Apple ID. It is correct that if an email address has been used previously for an Apple ID, it can not be used for a different Apple ID, as noted in this article:
In most cases, your Apple ID is also the primary email address of your Apple ID account. You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID. If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com, it's already an Apple ID.
