THANKS!!

MBP,
1. No one has any experience with this seller. "purpleyoga1124 ( 0 )". Note the big ZERO after the seller's ID. Zero means no feedback.
2. The manufacturing cost of a 30-inch display is over $1500. You made read http://www.digitimes.com/ daily to get a feel for actual mfg costs.
THIS IS A SCAM!

So i signed into my other itunes account to download some purchase i had made on that account, went to sign back into my new account and download purchases i had made on my iphone adn it tells me "You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 90 days.". This is a shared family computer with multiple Apple IDs being used on it. Not cool apple. This needs to be figured out. Not acceptable for families that have more than one apple ID to have to wait 3 months to download old purchases. Get real. Any way i can 'override' this?

  • What is the best Apple display for a 733 quicksilver?

Hello everyone.  Can anyone suggest the best Apple display for a 733 Quicksilver G4?  Bigger is better.  I think I have the 32MB video card with ADC and VGA connectors.  Thanks!

MacBooks Pro are great Macs with a good hardware, so all of them will work for the use you want, but I think that you want the biggest display possible because of your uses. In this case, it has to be a 15-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro, with the settings you want. Note that, after buying the Mac, you can upgrade the HDD and memory without voiding the warranty, so you are free to install as much memory and the HDD size you want after buying it. It's my opinion, but you are free to do whatever you think it's better

  • Can't play my library: "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID...you can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days.  You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 88 days." Got a fix?

Since my daughter burned a CD from my computer using our shared libraries I cannot play my library.  This pops up:  "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID.  You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 88 days."  I can get as far as viewing my library but listening is denied by this pop-up.  Can anyone help, please?   I just noticed my (this) computer is not showing as registered to my account. Hmmm....a clue perhaps?

    Do you have a question?

  • You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 5 days.

I only have 1 Apple ID.  I turned off iTunes Match on my iMac, and now I cannot turn it back on.  I get this error when I try to just turn iTunes Match back on, on the same computer, with the same Apple ID that I used orginially to subscribe to iTunes Match:
This computer is already associated with an Apple ID.
You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 5 days.
I checked for iTunes updates.  None are available since I am using the latest.
    I stopped/started iTunes.  I rebooted the iMac.
    NOTHING HELPS!!!!!!!!
I have a Mac Mini and I use the same Apple ID on iTunes there.  I was able to turn iTunes Match off and back on with no trouble at all but my iMac refuses to allow me to turn on iTunes Match.
    Now what do I do?

Unless you really only have one AppleID that you use with the iTunes Store there's really nothing you can do. In the case of having only one AppleID you should contact iTunes Store support, since that would be a server-side problem.

  • HT4913 iTunes Match:You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 85 days. What can I do?

I'm subscribed to iTunes Match but when I turn it on I get this message:You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 85 days. What can I do?

I had this happen back in December/January. I sold my MBP that I used to subscribe to iTunes Match back in December. In January, I bought a used MB and tried to use iTunes Match on it. I was told I had to wait nearly two months to use it on the new computer. I waited and was finally able to use it in the new computer.\
Sadly, this has more to do with the content providers (Record lables / movie studios) than it has to do with Apple impsoing the restrictions.

What is going on with my apple ID. I only have one, the iMac is only associated with this ID, yet i get this message after evry thing i try to download from the store......You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. Hello BW1968,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 60 days. Why?

You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 60 days.  How can I use more than one apple ID with one MacBook pro ?

    Hi
No - that is the issue - both my husband and I use the same computer and want to be able to use our individual Apple IDs so can access our download content e.g. I-books that we have purchased through our other MAC devices such as I-Pad.  In the past, we had four people using one computer with no problem regarding Apple ID.   In the newer operating system, we are now restricted to one at a time - it means one of us is blocked out from accessing our content for a period of 90 days.   Have you any suggestions on how we can both use our individual Apple IDs with the same lap-top?  We have set up discrete accounts so we log on to the computer individually.  Many thanks for any help.

first i was wondering what everyone thinks about macbooks compared to let's say another pc like hp,dell,etc.... i have been told that i'd have to be dumb to get a machine with windows vista on it,so that is why i have turned my focus to a macbook because i have heard they are pretty good and worth it...
I personally like my MacBook better than any other computer I have ever owned. I like being able to use windows when I need to but not being tied to it. My wife bought an HP with Vista and it doesn't seem to bad. Lots of updates at least one a week. Mostly graphic card drivers update.
also is it true that if you upgrade let's say the memory, hard drive, etc it won't be covered in the warranty/apple care plan??
Only two things you can upgrade on a MacBook is the Hard drive and Memory. It will not void the warranty. This is apples word on it. DIY Warranty Info
I would just like to ask for people's opinions please on purchasing one of these i am currently a senior in college and will be using it next year for grad school, need to replace the one i currently have...
Be sure you can live with the graphics. If you do a lot of graphics work you might want to consider the MacBook Pro. I use my MacBook for video editing using Final Cut Express HD and it works well. The MB is also not very good for gaming if you are into that. The integrated chip set doesn't work well with 3D games.
also any other ideas on getting iwork or office, a hard plastic case or a skin, thanks alot for anyone's input it is greatly appreciated.... i am looking to get one once leopard comes out thanks!!
Depending on your school may be a factor in what you choose. I use iWork and it is pretty good. You could also try NeoOffice or Open Office. They are good also. Office is supposed to be coming out with a new Mac version but not sure yet how it will work.
Be sure to ask for the student discount when you purchase the computer and software. It adds up.

  • Recommended Apple Displays for vintage 7350, G3/33 and Q650 Macintosh's?

I am looking for an Apple compatible display solution for a Quadra 650, a Workgroup Server 7350 and a G3/300. At this time I have the following displays at disposal: a vintage 12-inch RGB display which is connected to my vintage Mac LC, a 15-inch IBM G50 CRT with resolution comprised between 640x480@85Hz and 1024x768@72 Hz, and two professional colour CRT manufactured by Philips in the 202P40 and 70 series (which are presently connected to my PC workstations and used as dual-displays on Matrox Parhelia.)
My original plan was to use the Quadra 650 for creative writing as a replacement for the venerable LC. To this purpose a 12-inch RGB is a bit restricted (512x384), but quite practical from the desk space saving viewpoint. Perhaps a 14-inch Apple display could do well, but which one? Multiple Scan series?
The 7350/233 and G3/300 are respectively using their original video board and an ATI Rage Pro chipset. Their use would be either dedicated to scanning tasks (mainly digitisation of written media) as well as Internet gateway (for the G3 only). Colour fidelity is not prerequisite at this stage. The 15-inch IBM G50 is a capable monitor, but I think that it would be great to have a monitor with flicker-free resolution of 1024x768 for web browsing. So what is the good choice among vintage Apple displays?
I read quite numerous articles about Apple displays, and it seems that some models like the 1710 are to be avoided, according to LowEndMac. Conversely they provide excellent compatibility with vintage Macintosh graphic boards. I am particularly concerned with graphic display quality because I spend many hours in front of a computer display every day. This is the reason why I invested time and money to assemble a dual Philips 202P CRT display working space in combination with top-quality Matrox Parhelia graphic boards.
I also read about issues when using conventional CRT displays on Apple graphic boards because the OS seems to restrict the resolution and refresh rates to 75Hz. But is it true?!
Again many thanks in advance for your excellent forum and qualitative feedback.

For your Quadra 650, which you want to use for word processing text, there is an interesting paradox. There is a "hole" in the display capabilities of most computers.
    15 inch displays:
can easily show 800 by 600, and 832 by 624 will fit on most displays with the picture slightly less than life size.
    17 inch displays:
can show 832 by 624 with a 3/8 inch black border all around.
    19 inch displays:
can display 1024 by 768 easily
If desk space is an issue, the clear winner is a 15 inch display. The difference between Super VGA at 800 by 600 and Mac 16 inch at 832 by 624 is not very large. Either could be used.
There is a document that discusses the use of sense pins, displays, and adapters with the Quadra series, which includes the Quadra 650:

  • External non Apple Displays for Macbookpro

Looking for 22-24" external display for macbook 17" -- uses: photography, video editing and showing, lots of word processing and some spreadsheet work, occasionally a game. $900 for Apple display just too much, let alone $1799 for larger Apple. Nice, but no cigar. So what is good and competitive in price out there and compatible (really) with the Pro?

So what you are saying is you want us to do the same Google searching, find what you want (how would we even know what that may be) then give you the information. But you can't (or won't) do that. But, I'm offensive for suggesting you do that yourself. Since I'm being so offensive why not add to that:
The Apple Discussions are a user-to-user collection of forums to provide help with Apple products. It is not a "buying service" to help users purchase non-Apple products nor to provide help with non-Apple products.
You can find what you want by doing some research. It takes some time and effort. If you were willing to see things from a different perspective you would see that you are simply saying you want me (or someone else) to do what you aren't willing to do - as opposed to doing something you are unable to do.
If that's really offensive then I apologize, and, you're right, this response is hardly worth my trouble.

  • Can I have 1 Apple ID for apps and 1 Apple ID for iCloud

I would like to have 1 Apple ID for purchasing apps and 1 Apple ID for iCloud. Is that possible? If I need to use the iCloud ID for apps, will it get rid of my old apps?

Yes you can.  Changing your ID won't get rid of any of your previous purchases.  You just won't be able to redownload them from iCloud.  (They are permanently tied to the ID you used to purchase them and you can't switch IDs and redownload under the new ID for 90 days - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627).  So be sure to transfer them to your iTunes library by connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  That way you can sync them back at any time without worrying about having to redownload them.

  • Can I use 1 apple id for contacts and one apple id for find my iphone

My family has multiple deivces on using the same apple id for store stuff and to find my iphone.  How can I put a different apple id on my phone so our contacts won't get merged.

  • Want to use 30" Apple display for HD TV... is possible?

Want to get a 30" Apple Moniter to use with G4... iMovie, presentations, etc... and then use as HD TV (we don't watch TV... just DVD's and VCR's.) Do I have to use computer to watch DVD's or can I get a peripheral DVD player/ DVD recorder combination... patch into stereo. Instead of getting a HD LCD TV, would rather get monitor and use for both. Has anyone done this? Is this possible?
    Thanks for any help....

Thanks you guys... ok, so forget the HD TV idea... I like the big monitor... if I used the Gefen player... is there anyway to get a VCR player to run through it to the Monitor. The idea here... is we don't watch broadcast TV... just dvd's and vcr tapes... have a lot of vcr tapes. Is that possible? Any other solutions I'm not aware of? Or should I just get a off the shelf LCD TV from Costco? Thanks for helping me here.
