Hi all,
I wanted to know if this forum is only for the applet developers.
If so can anyone please tell me where can I get answers for questions about adapting the JCVM to a smartcard OS?

That would involve dealing with the manufacturers since you are dealing with masks. I don't know of any mask engineers that are in here. I believe either Infinion or Philips provides a kit for masks development. Also check with IBM's JCOP, it's the mask commonly used on major vendor cards.

I use Adobe Creative Design Web Premium Suite CS 6.0 on my computer here.
I have the second license installed om my Notebook at home.
Now I become a new very fast WIN 7 Computer and I would install CS 6 before I work with this computer in 1..2 Weeks on this new Computer - without deactivate first here on my working Computer.
Is that possible?
Par example I install on my new computer CS6 with the activation Nr., then I become a message I can't install before i deactivate one license....???

First Answer: No, the forums are not only in English language, but they are supported by a majority of people that do speak the English language. If you look you will see an option to "Translate" which can sometimes be used to translate a posting to a different language. I say "Sometimes" because sometimes it is broken and will not work and sometimes it will translate something to a form that is hard to understand.
As far as your activations go, you are only allowed two activations at any given time. So if you have two already activated then you need to deactivate (Help -> Deactivate) one of them in order to activate yet another machine.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here - I've asked the hosts to remove the email address from your post.
Gifts can only be redeemed by people in the same country, they can't be redeemed by people whose account is based in another country (you should have got a message when you bought the gift that it will only work in your country) - so your friend won't be able to use it. You can try re-sending it to somebody whose account is also based in Saudi Arabia : resending a gift.

RMI only for applets?

I have spent couple of days trying to make my client/server application to work. I use RMI and both sides are ready and do execute, but I can't make the client receive the Stub file. All I get is a ClassNotFoundException telling me that the "myproject.server.MyImpl_Stub.class" can't be found. What confuses me is that it is searched from the server (Amongst the other server classes!?), but I don't seem to be able to change (or point) the location where it should be looked for...
I just read that RMI is primarly for applets, and now I'm feeling a bit worried if I can't make my application work at all... This is (soon to be was) supposed to be my course project and I have worked pretty hard on this.
I really hope that the problem is only with setting the codebase. If so, I hope someone could tell me how to point the right place* from the server for the RmiRegistry -> client. I have also noticed that RMIClassLoader class is somehow related to this topic. Should it be used somewhere? How?
* If the path is for example: c:\java\my_project\server\ --> java.rmi.server.codebase=???

I have already read some tutorials. And I have understood that the client is the one which needs the stub(s), but the server is the one to provide it/them. Right? I'm not sure what you mean by starting the server separately with the stubs, but that is, what I think, I have done.
I copied my server classes so that they where with client at corresponding place given by ClassNotFoundException. Now I got ClassCastException!? I think that this proves that the instance sent by rmiregistry is telling the client to ask for the stub from the wrong place.
This is what I think how stubs are used and what they are...
Server registers an remote object for rmiregistry with Naming.(re)bind(). Rmiregistry then gives an instance (of this objects stub) for the client when it does its Naming.lookup(). After that client requests the stub.class from given location (which is given by the servers codebase setting [only for applets??]), and then the stub.class is downloaded for the client. When this is done, the stub is used by the client to make calls for the servers remote object, to do what the client asks it to do (if allowed).
Is this far from the truth?

I am working for active noise control inside a duct, I am using real time application with sampling rate 10 000, max. frequency 1500 Hz and 2 outputs.
I had a DAQ card 6221 M series is this sufficient for this application or I might use another.

I keep getting exclamation marks on my playlist on itunes, but this is only for the songs downloaded on my phone. I can't play any songs on my phone, only on the original itunes library. Whats going on??

The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not inlcuded synced media like apps and music. Thes those iTunes are not restored to the iPod unless they are in the iTunes library.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I don't mean the content. I find these Flash forums very
useful and helpful. It's the performance of the actual forum site
that makes me increasingly want to avoid this place. Click any
thread and it may or may not load, and when it does (often on the
3rd or 4th attempt) it takes between 30 and 90 seconds to load. I
note that many newcomers to this forum post the identical messages
3 or 4 times, probably because the molasses-slow performance makes
them worry their message didn't get posted. Am I the only one this
is happening to? If not, has it gotten gradually worse and worse
for you over the past couple weeks?
It's very frustrating because I enjoy learning and
contributing to the discussions here. I just want to find out if
it's a problem for me alone.
I'm using latest IE and Firefox on a clear, unshared 6MB
broadband connection. No problems with any other forums on the web,

I have noticed that the forum (and only this one for me) has

I just downloaded Maverick on my Macbook Pro from 2011. When I try to open iPhoto, it says that I have an old version that doesn't work with Maverick. None of the solutions stated on this forum work for me, because there are no options displayed.

After downloading Maverick on the MacBook Pro that I bought in 2011, I am unable to open iPhoto. The message says "You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X. You have "iPhoto" 9.2.3" What??? That is ridiculous. Why doesn't Maverick download everything? I've tried the "fixes" I found on this forum, but none of them work for me, because there is no workaround via the library. I can't access the library.

I have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

Does the RSS feed of this forum work for anyone else?

Call me old school but I still use RSS feeds to keep up with stuff and last month the feed for this forum quit working. After some investigation I discovered that it is not valid anymore :(

TS3988 Help - How do I manage to remove an IOS device, in this case an IPhone 4S, from my Apple ID account? I want to use this account only for my IPAD

Hi,
I have managed to initially set up our two IOS devices - my wifes IPhone 4S and my IPAD 2 - in a not so smart way.
I used the same Apple ID account for both devices.
As such it worked, however after a few days we decided to have two different Apple ID accounts, one for each device.
I made a new Apple ID account for my wifes Iphone, and kept the old account for my IPAD.
This is as well working now with both these accounts, however I have found out that my wifes IPhone is still registered under my account.
This I will like to have rectified and cleared, i.e. I want my wife's phone cleared from my Apple ID account, so that my Apple ID account only contain information related to my IPAD 2.
My wife's Apple ID account for her IPhone 4S works fine and we do not need to change anything for this account.
However, how can I clear/edit my own account, so that it only contain information about my IPAD?
For example, when I use the Apps "Find My Iphone" I can see that the system is trying to locate both my IPAD and my wife's IPhone 4S, when I have logged on with my Apple ID account no. This show that one way or the other both devices are registered under my Apple ID account.
I will appreciate some assistance to tell how to rectify this matter,

Some of the entries in my address book show birthdays one day/year earlier in Ical. I cannot change this except by putting in the birthdays a day/year earlier than they are. Why is this happening only for some entiries and not others?

Some of the birthdays I have entered in Address book appear in my Ical one day and one year earlier than the date I have given. Eg. I have entered a birthday in Address book as 23 March 2011 and it appears in Ical as being on 22 March 2010. Other names have no problems. There are only some that do not appear with the correct date and year. Why is this? Has anyone found how to correct this strange problem? I have Time Zones ticked.

I'm having this exact same problem, but it's doing it with a bunch of birthdays. I also did 0001 when I didn't know the birth year, so I went back and did a more current year, but they still aren't showing up where they should be...or at all. It's completely bizarre.

Questions for anyone using this forum

is this forum only for people who have problems with apple stuff to go and complain so that we feel better, because i've posted numerous questions on this and other forums, non have gotten replies. i really feel as though this is only a place where people can go to vent some frustration with things. i'm not even sure if there's a guy (or team,which there should be,) out there just looking at these questions and trying as best as they can. now i understand if its only a group of like ten gpeople there to help us because there has got to be at least a million people, if not more, out here sing mac products and experienceing problems. i just want to know if its really that hard to get a little responce about things. we have problems, we come here for answers because thats where apple tells us the answers are.
now my latest question may not be able to be answered by an apple tech, but, where is the best place to hock an iPod for $$$. mine is dead and will not come back to life. i want to get another iPod but its not in my budget unless i can sell my current dead iPod to put a down payment on a new one. so if theres anyone out there with an answer, please respond, otherwise its like talking to a wall.

No, this is definately not a place just to complain so you can feel better. These are user-to-user support forums. Nobody here works for Apple (other than an occasional moderator). We're just users like you who enjoy helping others.
I haven't seen your other posts, but usually if a post goes a while without a response, it's because the post either doesn't provide enough information, or is just a rant and doesn't ask a specific question. Post a detailed description of your problem without ranting about it and you will be very likely to receive help.
If your iPod is dead, you can either sell it on ebay or somewhere (people will buy non-functioning iPods), or take it to an Apple store and give it to them and receive 10% off a new iPod.
