I'm under the impression that I am not the only one trying to access the Music Store and can't. Can anyone fill me in on what's actually going on and if this is and Apple problem that I should just be patient for?

Okay - i've listened to all the excellent advice that doesnt work. Its not my ISP, not my firewall/AV software (checked, turned off etc), i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes - and zippo - still doesnt connect. Been pulling hair out and it is APPLES issue to sort out- despite what the guys may say!!!! So the only option ive had is to uninstall Itunes version 6.0.4 and revert to itunes version 6.0.2 which works fine on my machine! so if you cant fix it by all the methods above get a copy of itunes 6.0.2 and install it. If you want a copy try the following weblink where i got a copy of mine from.

oh and by the way - beware the prompts when you use itunes asking if you want to upgrade to version 6.0.4 or later - they dont work!!!!

The fix is to log into your current account. Go to appleid.apple.com and change the primary email and apple id back to the old email address (doesn't matter if you have it any longer). Once the change is made, then enter your password for that account on the device. Once you get in, go ahead and go back to appleid.apple.com and change it back. That fixed mine.

There is no audio output on my MBA in the system preferences-sound folder. Therefore no sound comes from my computer. At the same time this happened, any streaming video stopped playing after 11 seconds, as well as iTunes will not play any song. Help!?

Hello everyone.
i have a 15" MBA circa 2011 running Lion 10.7.5 and my sound has gone, There is a no sound circle on my volume display and in system preferences sound my options for output is empty. At the same time this happened I noticed 2 things: 1) itunes would not actually play any audio track and every video i streamed stopped after a few seconds (usually 11s) but not always.
I have tried following some tips I have found online like going into MIDI and fixing the problem there, restarting in safe mode. Resetting with PRAM (or something that sounds like that).
Does anyone have any insight on this? At this point i'm thinking it's time to reload Lion but I don't really know how to go about that without losing all of my files.

If nothing else works, you might try this one. It has worked for many others ...
Use iTunes to do a reset to factory default condition. Always be sure to do your backups before fiddling with your iPad. You might do both the iCloud and the iTunes backup, just to be sure!

SOLVED: IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX: FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device. Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now! :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you.

Are you saying that my address book has not been hacked into? That others are getting these email addresses from another source?
This confuses me. Are you saying that you are receiving bogus e-mails from some of your contacts, or are you saying that they are receiving bogus e-mails from you?
If the latter, there are a number of reasons that people might be getting e-mail from you. Malware, though technically possible, is extremely unlikely. See Someone is sending messages from my e-mail address!
If the former, that's rather unusual. The only decent explanation I can think of is that a bunch of your Windows-using contacts got infected with something and their machines are being used to spam everyone in their contact lists, which would include you.

Never seen this happen before, have you?

Hi everyone,
I have never seen this happen before, were I edit a segment of video about 2 minutes long, I render it out and afterwards the clips in my edit change completely to something different. It takes footage from the same tape and replaces my clips with random clips.
Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix it.
I have just erased and installed a fresh copy of OSX and all my programs have been newly installed, hoping it would resolve this issue.
I could really use someones opnion.

Only thing I though of was deleting the clips, renaming the timeline, moving the entire project onto a new harddrive and erasing all the render files.
If this does not work I am going to toss my MAC out the window!

i have been getting really bad battery life after install ICS on my droid razar maxx i can only go 1 day and 3 hours where i used to be able to go 2 day easy have this happen to anyone else can someone tell me how i can make my battery life better??????/ and do i need to let my phone go complete dead before fully chargeing it again ??????
before install the ICS update i had 30 percent of battery life remaining so i pluged it in and let charged for a little bit while it updated my phone and ever thing after it updated i unplug my phone and started playing on my phone to see what ICS was all about but when it got to 15 and said " connect to your changer so i did !!!!! should i haved let my phone going complete dead since i unplug without it fully changer or does it matter ?????????????? if someone could please help me !!!!:)

What was your battery reading right after the update when you unplugged the phone? I have never let my Maxx drain further than 20% battery ever before I charge it. Yesterday after the update I also played more with the phone trying to learn the OS, as did most everyone on this forum. Give it a few days of your normal use before you decide your battery life has decreased. I took my phone off charger today at noon, it was 100%, and now it's 80%, with about 30 min talk time, and mostly standby. that's about normal batt life for me, maybe a little better than before the update. I'm still going to watch it for a few days before I make a conclusion about battery life.

It isn't happening to everyone else, but if there was a trend of it happening to a lot of people, that would probably show up in the official InDesign user forum. But there aren't a lot of crash reports there, so it isn't something that's happening to everyone. There are a couple, so you might look at those. But since there is not a huge wave of crash reports, the problem might be more related to a problem on the system rather than a problem with InDesign, like a corrupted font.
The best place to troubleshoot is probably over at the Adobe forum since the users there know InDesign very well.

As I just said on another thread, this is a very common problem with Mail. I've had this problem in every recent OS and on three different computers, and everyone I know who has tried Mail has had this problem.
Solution: drop Mail and use a working mail server such as Thunderbird.

delete that definition, would it delete files?
I've never heard of this...I thought site definitions were
really just a link to files...can someone please advise?

I was working with a client today in DWMX 2004 on WinXP Home
and she had about 4 different site definitions for the same site -
each a different type of definition.
( She was trying to get her site defined on her own and
didn't know what to do so she had tried each option.)
Anyway, I had her delete one of her site definitions-which
she had defined as an FTP Server--after that, she was unable to
find the files that had been previously connected to that site
definition. (The files had previously been located on her C Drive
according to the paths in 'Open Recent'. )
She asked me ' Will this delete my files?' and I responded
'Nope, a site definition is just like a bookmark-so your files will
remain where they are on your local machine'.
Her files (even the ones showing in 'Open Recent' on the
Welcome Screen) were nowhere to be found on her machine-we looked
in her recycle bin too.
Like I said, I never heard of this happening. I was assuming
that she just had misplaced her files-but the 'Open Recent' paths
seemed to be indicating that the files had once been right where
she was expecting them to be.

Both phones were iPhone 4s and everyone was with different carriers.

Use Find My Friends app instead. Much easier to manage, and you won't need each other's id/pw's to do it. They only need to accept your invitations and vice versa.
