Is this in the public model? Coming?

I would like to create an accounting entry from a 3rd party system automatically
I see there is a "MANAGEACCOUNTINGENTRYIN" in the WSIL, however I can not find any information on this.
Will there be a way to generate GL transactions / AccountingEntries in future versions? (which) as i do not see it in the 2.6 model..
Or maybe I am way off here and am just not seeing it...
P.S. please do not respond with the standard ask your dev coach..

Hi William,
there are two services in FP2.6 which can be used for posting accounting entries to ByD.
The first one is the one you already mentionend, which is a synchronous A2X service. If you send data to this service you'll get an immidiate response whether the data was posted or invalid.
There is a second option, to use an asynchronous A2A service, which leaves the error handling completly to ByD (In many cases this option is preferred). This service is afaik currently in the pilot phase, but should be avalible on the Sap Store shortly (or already is)..
Please be aware that there are indeed additional fees if you plan to use this with huge amounts of data..

In your scenario, it seems that you import data from Analysis Services database. However, this option is not available for Analysis Services database. So in you want to made this option, you can import data from relational database.

Is there any way for additions made by one user of a shared library to be visible to the other user of the same library, without having to always "add file to library"? This was the whole reason we consolidated the library into a public folder

My wife and I share a computer but have separate Windows ID's. We also each have an iTunes account, using two separate Apple ID's. We have always struggled with the headache of getting music that one of us added (via purchase, downloading CD, etc.) to the other person's music library. A friend suggested we consolidate and share the same library. Sounded like a good idea so we moved the libraries to a public folder, consolidated them, etc. But now when one of us adds music to the library, the other person still has to do an "add file/folder to library" in order for them to be able to see it. This is exactly the step we were hoping to eliminate by this consolidation. Does anyone know if there is a way to make this happen automatically, or will we have to continue to do this every time?
Also, ended up with a lot of duplicates in the process of consolidating. Is there any way to identify and "mass delete" these? It will take a while to go through them all individually as the library is somewhat substantial (approx. 16k songs)
Hardware is Windows 8, one iPod classic, one iPod Nano (obviously only selected playlists on this one). All hardware and iTunes running latest software.

It sounds like you are using two independent libraries with a common media folder, whereas the plan would have been to ensure that both profiles were using the same library library database. Although you can place this within the Public folder I would normally create a shared library at the root of a drive, e.g. at X:\iTunes where X: is the drive that you want to use. See Make a split library portable for information on moving the library around back into a standard shape.
As for duplicates, Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See thisthread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning
to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

I bought a Macbook Pro 15 last month (the lower end model) on interest free credit. I mainly got it for music and film editing. I was aware that Apple were about to announce a new series of Macbooks but kind of needed it then! Anyway, is it worth me selling this Macbook and buying the newer model that was just announced? I know I'd lose a couple of hundred £ through selling this one but would it be worth the upgrade?
Also, is there another upgrade to the new models coming? I.e. will there be a smaller scale update in 6 months?

Screen sharing setup in 10.5, 10.6 are described by the links by operating system. 10.7 is fairly similar to 10.6.
And if both Macs have Firewire, you can setup a Firewire over IP network for fast communication between machines. Note if you have two different Firewire ports a 6 pin to 9 pin Firewire cable does exist. There are no Firewire to USB cables.

1. The scrolling, as far as I've been able to determine, is by using the slide bar to the right of most diplays. There are no up or down arrows that allow slow movement
2. The top and botton toolbars are not visible. The top one appears when you point the arrow to the top of the screen but the same doesn't work well if at all pointing the cursor to the bottom.
3. When downloading, something jumps to the upper right of the screen. I could point and click it and get a diplay if my downloads. I was attempting to fix some of the above. Now the little thing jumps off the screen and I can't get to it.

I have two cameras of the same model and want to separate out the photos taken on each one. Is this possible?

I have a Canon and my husband has a Canon, and they are the same model (mistake!)
I imported his photos into my library (I'm the keeper of the photos), and now I want to seperate out his photos from mine.
To make matters worse, the dates are the same (since we travel together) and the file numbers overlap (because the world is out to get us).
They are thoroughly intermingled, but I'm hoping there is a super geeky way to seperate them.
Ideas?

Try to separate the photos by "import session".
Assuming you can recognize some of the photos you took - perhaps there are some photos showing your husband and some photos showing you - these photos will tell you the import session. All photos you import into the library will be assigned an import session metadata tag, so his photos should have all the same import session tag.
To show this thag, set the Info panel in the Inspector to "Edit" and add it to your current Metadata view.
Once you found the Import Session for your husband's photos, create a smart album based on this meta data tag.
When I import my husband's photos in my library, I use a metadata preset on import, that will assign automatically a keyword, set his copyright, and adds a color code. So I can see at a glance, which photos are my photos and which are his.

First, I would try the following suggested steps for when you don't see content in iTunes after updating:
Quit iTunes.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
Mac OS X
/Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
Rename this file to iTunes Library.
Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.

You can each have your own ID for your own iTunes accounts, but in order for a device to stream via AirPlay to the same Apple TV, everything must use the same homesharing ID. This is not the same as your iTunes account ID (although it can be for one of the devices)

Wondering if you have a current Backup on iTunes ...if yes you could put the iPhone in DFU Mode by holding the Home button while you plug in the lightning cable. Then you could Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings on 8.0.2 and after a full Restore go back and then Restore from your Backup. This happens every time a public release occurs. Many folks on the Golden Master or otherwise in the AppleSeed program with a Beta version for some reason don't move to the official release ...then the software time-bomb hits and they can't upgrade.

Winmail.data are not usable files. They just preserve RTF within the message.

This checkin makes public our modifications to Velocity 1.4 which make the parse tree serializable.
Velocity has a slow parser and template lookup mechanism so we save 25% time in the MXML compiler by only using merge at runtime and loading a serialized form of the parse tree from the classpath.
There's a simple class flex.util.SerializedTemplateFactory that has a main method to serialize a template and a load method to load a template.
Another significant change is that macros and their arguments are not parsed at runtime; we parse them once at parse time and they are just evaluated at runtime. The original Velocity liked to concatenate tokens in its production rules and then re-parse at runtime.
It turns out that re-serializing the parse trees is still pretty expensive, so the next step would be to codegen a Java class that does all the velocity actions without any of the Velocity runtime necessary.
