Is this IOS6 upgrade complete? I does not appear to be.

I downloaded the new upgrade. With this new downloaded upgrade there is no longer any colored icons for certain built in apps in the settings menu, they are now grey???. There is no longer any colored icons in the indicator banner bar on top of screen for each feature (airplane mode was orange, bluetooth blue, battery was green , G3 and wifi were blue, etc), the whole bar is one pale blue/grey color without any distinction like there was before. My phone dialing keypad is completely grey now as well as my music playlist display. The previous version was two tone and highlighted when applicated.
Is this the final version for IOS6? Is this common with other Iphone 4S users? I am wondering if my download was completed properly.

There has been an outage for both iMessage and FaceTime today. Started at around Noon time, PDT.
There is nothing you can do from your end, this problem is on Apple's servers.

I am trying to set up Sharing amongst several computers on my home network. I have followed all the setup instructions but after completion Sharing does not appear in my iTunes window (on any of the computers I've set up). There is no explanation why.

I have been trying to set up Sharing between two computers on my network. I did this once and it worked. However, when I try to set this up now the Sharing feature does not appear on the left side of the iTunes window (on either computer). There is no explanation as to why not. Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If, while searching through your past purchases, items are unavailable to download and show a "Purchased" button, they are still on your computer. It may be best to search your iTunes library by clicking Music, then use the search bar at the top right.
If you are completely sure the items are no longer in your library, try signing out of the iTunes Store, and then back in.

Ios6 - wifi log in does not appear for secured network

Hi,
I installed ios6 on my ipad2 last night.
Today - when I connect to a secure wifi network via settings, the log in screen does not appear, like it used to do automatically.
Is this an issues with the OS? Can anyone suggest a fix or a solution?

I still haven't resolved this. At present, the wifi is visible - but the log on screen does not pop-up, so I am unable to log on.

Enhancement view does not appear in my list of views

I have created an enhancement and now I used the wizard to add a new view to this application.The view created does not appear in my list of views but it appears in my Z BSP application.

IPhoto does not appear on desktop, only in Dashboard mode

Hey guys,
Has anyone had this problem - the iPhoto window does not appear on the desktop, and can only be seen in Dashboard mode. Once that tiny window in the Dashboard mode is clicked, the program hides.
I hope to hear from someone soon about this. Thank you!

Are you using separate desktops with Spaces? If so, try disable it and see if the window shows up. Otherwise you can try trash the com.apple.iphoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder

Lync does not appear in notification center

I have the latest version of Lync installed (4.2.6609.0000). When installing the app (I have tried deleting and reinstalling several times) the app does not ask me if I wish to receive push notifications. Therefore I assume this is the reason it does not appear in notification center and therefore unless actually in the app I do not see chats if in screen lock or another app etc.
On the previous version of Lync I had the same problem. However, I found that if I loaded Lync, powered off, powered back on again and reloaded Lync I could get it to appear in Notification Center and it worked in the background/screenlock etc.
Is there a way to force it into Notification Center so it will work in the background? When deleting I use app center via 3G so do not connect to a PC etc.
Any ideas or help here. Great tool, but a little useless if it cannot notify me of conversations from other users.

With the previous version of Lync if you loaded Lync, powered off, back on, loaded Lync it would appear in notification centre. But this doesn't seem to work now.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

Reboot the machine holding Command and r keys down, you'll boot into Lion Recovery Partition
In there will be Disk Utility, use that to select your Lion OS X Partition and Repair Permissions.
After that is done reboot the machine and see if you can log in.
If not repeat the above steps to get into Lion Recovery, get online and reinstall Lion again, it will overwrite the installed version and hopefully after that it wil work.
Reboot and try again.
If not follow my steps to create a Snow Leopard Data Recovery drive, then option boot from it and grab a copy of your files off the machine.
Then reinstall all your programs onto the external drive like setting up a new machine, then use Disk Utility to erase the entire internal boot drive (select the drive media on the far left, not the partiton slightly indented) format Option: GUID , 1 partition OS X Extended and then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the external to the newly formatted internal drive. Once that is finished reboot and disconnect the external drive.
Once you go that, boot into Snow Leopard and update to 10.6.8, use the AppStore and option click on Purchases and download Lion again and install.
Lots of work, but there is no Lion disks.

It sounds like you or someone else hacked the phone to unlock it. Updating it locked it to the original carrier.
How did you unlock it? The ONLY legitimate way is to ask the carrier it is locked to to unlock it. Any other way requires hacking or jailbreaking the phone.

i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.

Make sure your Mac qualifies to run Mountain Lion > Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.
Try disabling anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferencs > Security & Privacy
Apps such as Little Snitch and Net Nanny can prevent apps from downloading from the App store including Mountain Lion.
Third party download managers are not compatible with the App Store.
Keep in mind, for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk using Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation.

If you're sure where your library is run this script iTunesXMLPath. The library folder is the folder that file is in. Your media folder is recorded under Edit > Preferences > Advanced and is usually a subfolder of the library folder.
I recommend you backup your library with the method in this user tip.

Project professional 2010: Physical % Complete field does not roll-up to the summary tasks

I have a project plan which I need to set the physical % complete fields of it in order to use it for earned value over time report. I have assigned costed resources to come of the tasks, set all project task's earned value method to physical % complete,
and finally set a baseline. However, the physical % complete still does not get calculated for the summary tasks! It is always zero!
I have created another project with only 3 tasks and 3 resources, did the same as above, and was able to get calculated values for the physical % complete.
I followed the same procedure in both projects. In one I was able to get the physical % complete value of the summary tasks while it was always zero in the other! What may be the problem?

Hi Julie,
This is what I am seeing as necessary to make Physical % complete roll up to the summary level task.
BEFORE tasks are entered, set the "Default Task Earned Value method" to Physical % complete. File > Options, Advanced. This will set both the summary and detail tasks to that method.
Add tasks
Add resources with costs.
Assign resources to tasks.
Baseline the file
Take a look at the Tracking table and enter progress in the Physical % complete field for subtasks. The value should roll up.
Sadly I don't know of anyway to force the change after the tasks have been added. You can certainly add the Earned Value Method field to a task view to confirm all is set - but I have never been able to switch mid-flight and get it to work correctly.
I did, however, just try an experiment. I created a file that did not work correctly - Physical % complete was not rolling up. I inserted it into a blank project that had the option set correctly without linking. After a bit of tweaking
(outdenting all tasks to be able to delete the "extra summary task", saving a baseline), it now appears to be working correctly.
