Is this page a threat?
I frequent various casual games sites/blogs and today one of my bookmarked addresses caused the whole system to grind and moan.
The url i have bookmarked is "http://www.funny-base.com/games/arcade.html".
After five minutes of unresponsive activity, being unable to use the 'force quit' command or even move the cursor at one point, the page loaded with the background colour (may be cached) and the unloaded object boxes (sorry don't know the term for that symbol, blue lego-esque cubes).
I have never encountered this with any other page, or even caused such a reaction from my mac, even when running a handfull of fairly processor intensive programs.
I have both opera and firefox on this mac, and will test the address once I have posted this.
Is this a quirk, a plugin I don't have or something more serious?

a error during the flash update might be itself an indication of malware active on the pc. the browser is your door to the web - therefore it's very important to keep it and all plugins up to date in order to keep your pc & the integrity of your personal data safe.

Is there a way to create a "Print This Page" link?
I have a client who want to insert a print this page link that launches their print utility. Is this possible with Muse?
This is not a function of Muse. You'll need to use the 'insert arbitrary HTML' function to add this.
Here's where to get the javascript to insert.
Beware that Muse only produces a generic stylesheet and does not define its specific media type. That means that printing a Muse-generated web page or rendering a Muse website on a mobile device can be extremely messy. Elements may fall off of a page or may be sized oddly. The Muse showcase shows how the Horace and Lydia site falls apart in print. Elements appear broken and blank pages result.
Muse developers need to employ semantic markup so that users can design stylesheets for different media types. This topic is related to the frequent requests that Muse should be able to design for mobile devices. Muse just isn't smart enough to do what a professional designer would want. -
Can't Mail Contents of this Page after MobileMe update!
In Safari, you used to be able to do a "cmd I" or go to the File Menu and go down to "Mail Contents of this Page" select it and it would paste in to Mail a screen shot of the Safari page you were on.
Now when you do this, after the MobileMe update has been run and installed. Safari no longer can find the Mail app. Here is a copy of the text of the error message that you get now.
"Safari couldn’t create an email message because it couldn’t locate an email application.
You can use the Mail application included with Mac OS X to send webpages. To do so, you need to install Mail using the Mac OS X installation CDs."
I'm on a MacBook 2 Ghz INtel Core 2 Duo, with MAC OS X (10.5.2), Mail version 3.4 (last modified 7/11/08) Safari version 3.1.2 (last modified 6/30/08), MobileMe version 5.1 in the Preference Pane.
The suggested solution of reinstalling mail would not seem to work as it would reinstall older versions of mail that would not have the functionality of being use MobileMe. It would seem to be that a Safari path is what is required to have the code know that the Mail app has been renamed(?).

Sheldonville, MAHi, I'm on 10.5.4 I must have mistyped my OS version number. I took the version number for MobileMe from the About This Mac information. I was surprised like you see a version number of 5.1 I have run Software update as well just now to see if any newer versions of my software are there. None I'm up to date.
I do know that when I ran the MobileMe updater it said that it fixes problems in Mail, right now some things in various software applications still refer to .Mac. I still think that somewhere in the Mail app that the name was changed, so that Safari is looking for the old name in a string of code that executes the placing a copy of the current page in Mail as an outgoing mail message.
As for that activity bar in Safari, I guess I have never noticed it until now, on a laptop the bottom of the page is some times obscured by the dock which I have at the bottom. I truly noticed it more when I ran the MobileMe page. -

I've installed BO XI R3 SP4 on a 2k3-server with IIS 6.0. I wanted to configurate the SSO. After changing the web.config file and restart of the IIS , I get the following error :
HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
The frame where you normally are using for authentication has this error, the frame around is normal.

When i drag a URL over to my bookmarks or click on bookmark this page (on a Mac BTW) it doesn't let me do it. Not even with the star. Like when i try to bookmark some cell phone forums and gamefaq boards it says "website did not supply identity information" and it doesn't even let me bookmark that page unless i go to a different part of the site. Is there any type of fix for this???

Are you using the beta? it's not fully secure, so try using Firefox 3 instead. If you are already using Firefox 3, it seems like what Firefox is saying is correct- the site is not supplying identity information. So what you could do is go to that exact site, then click on the little golden lock at the very corner of the page. Then, enter the 'permissions' tab and allow everything. Exit, and then try bookmarking the page! -

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

More often than not, I get the message "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading". I click ALLOW and it comes back. I click the X and it goes away and allows the page to reload.
It occurs on my homepage (MSNBC) and a few -- but not all -- of my bookmarked pages.
At times, the message DOES NOT appear but I don't know what I've done to change anything to have it not appear. A couple of days later, the message is back upon loading my homepage.
This is especially annoying when trying to get into my banking website after attempting to log in...sometimes, it doesn't work and other times, after 3 or 4 refreshes, it loads.
Any suggested solutions will be appreciated.See:

I've tried to restart my iPhone (5) and downloaded iBooks (and the books itself) again several times but nothing has changed. I’m also synced the iPhone via iTunes without luck.
It’s the latest version of iBooks from Appstore. The same books on iBooks for iPad and Mac working fine!

I am using SQL Server 2008 with SP3. When i open my open my reporting manager URL. i get the error as "This page cannot be displayed" HTTP Error 500 internal server error. I read few blogs posted below. Tried both but could not help me out

Error: This page has graphics other than images or text on it
I recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, and I am experiencing a problem
with OCR text recognition.
If I use "Create PDF from Scanner" or "Create PDF from file" (using a
monochrome TIFF image) to create a PDF, I can then perform OCR on the PDF
file in Acrobat.
But if I open a monochrome TIFF image in some other program (Irfanview) and
print that to the Adobe PDF printer, then open that PDF in Acrobat and try
to perform OCR on it, I get the following message:
"Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because: This page
has graphics other than images or text on it. It cannot be captured."
If I select the scanned image in the PDF file using the TouchUp Object tool,
and then cut it to the clipboard, I am then able to then select a second
blank object on the page, that has the same dimensions as the scan (it is
full page size). If I delete that object, then paste the first one back in
(the scanned image), then OCR will work. So what is this additional object
that is preventing OCR? I did not have this issue with versions 4-8 of
Acrobat.
Also, this problem appears to only pertain to 1-bit monochrome images. I
scanned the same page to 8-bit grayscale, then printed that to Adobe PDF
from Irfanview, and that PDF file allows OCR to be performed. Does anyone
else have a problem using OCR when the PDF was created by printing a
monochrome raster image to PDF?Not sure this will work for indesign, but for any other searches about the OCR problem with "This page has graphics other than images or text on it", I used this workaround for a huge scanned text that Acrobat 9 Pro wouldn't OCR:
1. Save As.... > TIFF image
This saved each page as a tiff, so if your file is big, you might want to create a special folder for it. (I had 1100 pages!)
2. Open the folder with the TIFF images.
3. Select all files.
4. Right-click > Open with.... > Choose.... > Other.... > Acrobat
5. Popup will ask if you want to open all files in a single document. Obviously a good choice for 1100 pages.
6. After the new PDF generates, save it.
7. Document > OCR --- should work now.
8. If it does, don't forget to delete the folders with the TIFFs.

I need some help please. The small business I work for as a contract employee uses Google Doc's, and we input our information into spreadsheets on a daily basis, from our home computers.
My home computer is XP Professional, and I am using Mozilla Firefox 36.0. I know we are using older computer programs, but until we can afford newer computers we have to use what we have.
Prior to today, when I printed off my spreadsheets in Google Doc's I had no problems, however tonight I just starting receiving this error message; An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the file.
I contacted my manager and had her send me a new spreadsheet, Invitation to Edit and input my information into the new spreadsheet.
I then go to my timesheet, and highlight all the rows that I would like to print, then I hit the print key, then I get the box that states, opening my timesheet which is a PDF which is an Adobe Acrobat Document, then I have this message, What should Firefox do with this file? I have it set to open with Adobe Reader (default) do this for files automatically like this.
The file downloads, however I have noticed that Adobe at times has a difficult time opening up right away and then I receive the error message that Adobe isn't responding and I end up closing the program out and restarting my computer.
This error message shows up just before the document begins to print and the document prints off with out any problems.
I even did a repair and that didn't help. My printer is a HP Color LaserJet 4500 and I've had no issues with Adobe prior to tonight.
Do I need to uninstall Adobe Reader & Re-install the program?
I can't send a copy of the file because it contains confidential material.
I've also posted this message on Adobe Acrobat, and have not received a response.
Please advise.

Thank you for responding. Sorry that my message is so confusing.
In Google Doc's we are able to highlight/selected portions of a PDF to print.
In Mozilla Fox under Applications, Portable Format Document (PDF) Use Adobe Reader (default).
So when I go to print off my timesheet, after I have highlighted everything, I get this message: I've chosen to open my timesheet which is: Adobe Acrobat Document from https//docs.google.com. What should Firefox do with this file? Open with Adobe Reader (default).
Do this automatically for files like this from now on. I click on the OK and the file downloads as a PDF file in Adobe Reader. On Google Doc's I click on the print key then I am able to open up my printer menu. Its after I click on the print key that I receive this message.
So what do I do please?

This is very confusing to me; Adobe Reader does not have such a functionality (to print highlighted/selected portions of a PDF). Could it be that this is a functionality of Google Docs? Also I have never seen a message "What should Firefox do with this file?".
