Is this page loading OK for you

Hi all
I am experiencing an issue with my wordpress blog (hosted
with HostMySite) -
no major changes except the insallation of a well known SEO
plugin (but
worked fine after that installation).
HMS says everything is OK at there end, but.
When I try to load the site I am getting intermittant
problems such as:
DNS server errors
Page loads without the CSS
Page loads with missing images.
Wordpress admin pages not loading correctly or not loading at
all
Site has been fine for ages.
Could you see if the following pages loads for you and any
other pages from
the links (thanks)

hi All,
i have one of the requirement for an application, we do upload some release not in file server and that is used in application link to see the note. in this note i have converted the Excel into .HTM format(web page). this was working fine, but from last
two days all of a sudden we are recieving error as above.

Actually Arnavsharma provided a operable method for you. But no luck, it's not invalid.
Here I also offer you an method you can try.Please delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey :
Click Start , click Run , type regedit , and then click OK
Expand the following registry subkey
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones
Delete the extra (parasite) zone from the Zones subkey
Note: The parasite zone is a pseudo-graphic number listed before zone number 0. The pseudo-graphic number looks like a miniature upper case "L"
Close the registry editor

Print.css: when does the page load images for this?

I have a print.css for an image I don't want on screen, but
instead only for printing (normally set to display:none, and set to
display:block when printing). Works great, but this image is
loaded in any case as far as I know. 2 questions:
1.) Would an image referenced in print.css load only when
printing/previewing?
2.) If so, could a printable (by default, i.e,
non-background) image be loaded here in some way?

I think so, but I'm not sure - so, I built a test page -

It contains a single image that is display:none in the screen
CSS, and
display:block in the print CSS. Both YSlow and Safari's
Activity window
show the browser as fetching that image. Looks like the
answer is *no* - it
is fetched even when it is not displayed onscreen.

Ajax Page Loading Icon for Portal 8.52

We are currently in the process of upgrading our Portal environment to 8.52. As I understand the Pagelets load in 8.52 using Ajax, but was curious this environment (or any previous version) offers a delivered Ajax loading icon? That way the user is not left wondering why the page is blank. Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to find where and how single sign on system makes entry into HRMS databases? is it open source?

I've been watching this thing load files for two hours. How do I determine what remains to be done????

Is there a "file directory" I can access to determine the files that have loaded successfully and those which are to be loaded. I can't believe this should take this much time and resource ???
I've checked off the files as they have been initiated and when I am asked "Do I want to save a copy? I respond affirmatively. Is that an incorrect response on my part ????

I can not save a bookmark to a subfolder any longer. when I select "Bookmark this page" the subwindow for where to save the link does not open. It just saves all bookmarks to the end of the bookmark listing.

I am running 3.6.13
The bookmarks toolbar will not open the folders. It just saves the current page at the end of the the bookmarks list.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Everytime I open Firefox I get a page from Video Download Helper. How do I get rid of this page once and for all?

Since two days, everytime I open firefox an extra tab opens up from Download Helper.
I close it everytime, but it's getting annoying.
I've tried the Extra - Options screen, I've tried the Help with Firefox screen , I can't seem to find a solution.
Please help me get rid of it before I might toss my screen out the window in a few days...

Did you check for problems with the file prefs.js in the Firefox Profile Folder and rename or delete the file?
Windows may be hiding the .js file extension, so check the Properties via the right-click context menu to be sure.

Whenever I hit the back arrow in Safari3 or the main menu button on the "Blown Banshee" page I get a beachball and Safari3 unexpectidly quits...

I tried all the usual stuff...(trash plist,reset Safari,repair permissions...) still does it. Just that one **** page though. Removed QT movies on page and republished, added them back and republished. No go for me. It works fine on all my friends' and family's Macs. I'm Stumped!!

If you want customer service, this platform is not for you...

Terrible technical support - no replies in the forums. The online chat people dont know crap and mainly only are there for sales. We had considered using this platform with our 100+ clients but I seriously doubt it now with the lack of REAL customer service like other hosting companie can offer.

I have actually experienced the opposite - great customer service/support. Keep in mind that these are user to user forums not actual tech support. Although we are very lucky to have much of the BC staff participating.

How to set default date of 3 weeks(21 days) from today's date during page load?

I want to show the default date as 3 weeks from today's date during page load.
For example ,i have given as adf.CurrentDate + 21 in EO for the attribute 'DueDate'. But it is showing me the date as 9.7.2013. 3 weeks default date is not getting set.If i give adf.currentDate also ,it not giving me today's date,it showing the 9.7.2013 only.Kindly provide your suggestions to set the default date as 3 weeks from today's date during page load.Thanks in advance.

when you set the value on the entity level then you don't want to show it during page load but when the field is empty ? Correct? if so then the use case is a different one. The easiest way to implement this would be to create a Rowimpl class (Java option) and then in the get method of the entity attribute check if the value is null and if it is, set it to the current date + 21 days. This way all rows will be set with the 3 weeks due date but fields are not overridden each time the row is queried

Anybody know how to use the
Spry.Utils.addClassName('DivName','selected') and then fire the
Spry.Utils.addClassName with onLoad?
I am loading a page with the selector utils in it into a div
and then I think I must need an Observer to get the
Spry.Utils.addClassName to work when this page loads in a div.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Script after the constructor and after the effects and it works
fine. Thank you for your help to get me going.
Well after the fact, this solution was a problem because it
loads the selector each time I loaded the file.
kinblas had the correct answer that I was looking for.... as
it loads the selector as a 3rd argument.
ie:
Spry.Utils.updateContent('mainDIV','/menu.php', function() {
Spry.Utils.addClassName('DivName','selected'); });

Multiple elements sliding : Make initial element visible on page load?

Hi Folks,
I'm exploring sliding mulitple elements as demonstrated on this page:

My question is if there's a way to set the first (or any) of the elements to be visible when the page first loads. The example is currently set up so that you have to click on one of the buttons before you can see any of the elements.

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion, but it doesn't appear to
work for me. Deleting the display:none attribute makes Slide 4 appear on
page load and disrupts the proper functioning of the buttons.
I would like Slide 1 to appear on page load and for the buttons to function
normally (of course).

Calculating Page Loading Time

Hi Friends,
I wouldlike to know how to calculate the page loading time after I click a button on a page. Assume that after clickiing the button, first a servelt is called, processing is done and after that a jsp will be thrown to browser. Now after completely loading the JSP page, I mean, status bar in the browser is clean and no globe is revolving at the top of the browser, I need to insert this page loading time into database.
How can I do this using java technology.
Plase throw some light on this . It is very urgent.

Do you mean that you want something on your server to know how long it took the browser to load the page? There's no way to know that. After your server sends the data, that data can travel over a variety of communication networks and through a variety of network node computer buffers. Moreover, your page may have links (to images for example) that the browser will also load via separate requests.
All you can tell is how long it took your server to produce and send the page.
