I got an email that says that Itunes no longer uses aol passwords for access and I should use this link to create an Itunes .
user name and password that I already have.

Is this for real or phishing. There are no topics on this.

So when you use the sign in box are you entering an email address such as <name>@<domain> in the left hand text box, or an AOL screen name that doesn't contain the @ symbol or contains spaces?
If you are using a valid email address then there shouldn't be a problem. If you are using an AOL screen name then my understanding is that iTunes should automatically guide you through the steps necessary to change your account. I'm not an AOL user so I haven't seen it myself. If it doesn't happen when you thing it should contact support on this link https://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/.

It sounds like you might need to contact Yahoo! if you aren't able to setup your email account as a new account after deleting it.

When I open my email I get a pop-up with an iCloud icon asking me for my AOL password. When I enter my AOL password, it doesn't take it. What is it really wanting?

Hello! iCloud and AOL are two seperate things, even though you CAN use your AOL email address as a login for iCloud. This gets confusing sometimes. Anyway: when iCloud asks for a password you should fill your icloud/apple id password, not you AOL password (unless by some chance they are the same passwords)

Itunes will no longer respond to my AOL password

I have a REAL problem and need REAL help. Early on, I used my aol password to buy songs and apps from ITunes. This password is now somhow disconnected from ITunes and I can't update the products PURCHASED WITH THAT PASSWORD. I have reset both my ITunes and AOL passwords with no good result. There does not seem to be an automated answer to this question. HELP HELP HELP

easiest way i have found to resolve the issue is go into itunes while phone is plugged in. you will have a list of tabs across, summery, info, ringtones, music. select music and where it displays sync music unselect that and hit apply in the bottom right (dont worry your music should be saved on the computer) once the sync is complete re check the music sync option. ive noticed this to work 95% of the time......hope this helps

AOL password not working in iTunes

I went to upgrade some apps on my iPhone today and when I went to log in with my AOL password (which is how I've been doing it since getting the phone) it said the password was invalid. After that I plugged the phone into the computer and went to upgrade through the iTunes store on my PC and when I went to log in through AOL is again said the password was invalid. This is not true and just to confirm it, I went through the process of resetting my AOL password to what it's supposed to be.
Everythint else that access the AOL account like my Gmail is completely fine. But iTunes won't accept the password. Everything I do in the store is linked to that account and I need this problem fixed ASAP.

After I changed my AOL password due to the latest spoofing scam, I cannot send any emails from my iPad2. I have gone to settings and changed my email password. The latest attempt to resolve this to go to the advanced page and I clicked on sent and now sent is no longer working. I think I've just made matters worse for myself. I can go to the AOL app and both receive and send emails, but I want to send directly from my iPad mail feature. Help!

in settings, mail, go through the setting for sending again. you need to restate your password. make sure the server name and port are correct. It may be simpler to delete the account and start over - ( you mail is still on the aol server - it will not be lost)
If you are not real sure of the settings, simply google aol mail settings, and you should get a clear answer.
since you are receiving, you have the right password in place - you just need to reconnect to the sending server.

HAD TO RESET MY AOL PASSWORD AND NOW MY BLACKBERRY WON'T LET ME SEND EMAILS.

Went to setup to change AOL password there and it wouldn't take my Blackberry Password ID. So I clicked on "forgot password". We all need access to our email and we're happy to help make sure you are able to use your email account. Are you receiving a specific error message when attempting to send emails? Have you attempted to remove the AOL account entirely and the re-adding it? How did you attempt to reset the password? You are referring to your iTunes/app store account? You will need to sign out of your old account on your iPhone and sign in with the new one.

Changing aol password on a bb pearl

Hello. I changed my aol password this morning, then got a notice from bb that says I must update the password in the blackberry internet service. The notice says that I can open the bb internet service account two ways - click the email setup application on your device or use the computer. Go to email accounts page.Edit my aol account, then update the password field and save.
I need to do it on my bb pearl. My question is does anyone know where the email setup application is on the pearl? Or where the email accounts page is? Or where you go to change your aol password? I have looked under Blackberry setup and options, but cannot find where to change it.

Eacanterbury, I aplogize. I re-read your question and said you "need to do it on my bb pearl". Sometimes I get in a hurry! I agree with sgardne, see if you have it hidden. Go to home screen then BlackBerry key SHOW ALL and see if it is hidden.

Mail forgets my aol passwords

Mail forgets my AOL passwords and it does not help when I re-enter them. I have tried deleting Internet Passwords in Keychain Access (which usually fixes the problem), but this is not helping now.

Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

BB's do not perpetually prompt for the password. Rather, after the pre-programmed number of failed attempts (usually 10), the device wipes itself clean of all user data. Sometimes, it wipes so well that the OS is trashed...requiring a reload...and is indicated by the 507 error code. See this KB:

Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.
The procedure to restore the file once you have it on removable media or some other convenient place is described in this article: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].

I recently changed my Google Password and so I was getting the same message everytime my gmail tried to update on my phone. you would need to update the password on the account website, scroll down a bit it will allow you to update the password
