Is it possible to add applications such as Word? I think this was possible in vesion 3.

Apparently it is possible to add program tiles (which are essentially just shortcuts to EXEs) by using RegisterSmartCenterApp.exe from the TouchSmart SDK. I'm going to give it a try in the next day or two.
(I'm sure that some non-TouchSmart apps won't "play nicely" when launch from a tile within the TouchSmart 4.XX software - which is probably part of the reason they removed the functionality - but hopefully most of the apps I want to use will "play nicely".)

If you have a mid/late 2007 MBP you can install the latest OSX that is available, on your MBP. Mavericks (10.9) has been replaced by Yosemite (10.10) and is no longer available in the App store.
You choices are Lion (10.7), Mt.Lion (01.8) (both $20) or Yosemite (free). The first two are available from the Apple online web site. Yosemite can be downloaded from the App store.

I would suggest you visit an Apple dealer, preferably an Apple Store if there's one in your city, and ask for assistance in determining what you need. The questions and issues you bring up are rather complex to address in a technical support forum and would be better addressed in person where you and the salesperson can ask questions back and forth to arrive at the optimal setup.

If you want it to maybe happen some of the time, if people use the right browser and software and system, you can use JavaScript.
If you want it to happen reliably, you need server software to add the stamp before the file is served, integrated into your web site's CGI/ASP/PHP or whatever. Probably not an option with shared hosting.

The only ways to do this now is either by subscribing to iTunes Match or by re-purchasing the tracks. You can, however, burn the protected tracks to audio CD which will work just like any other audio CD.

When the same text is view in another browsers it appears correctly as "two/".
I've checked, and the same problem appears in Firefox on another computer.

You are on a Mac and that is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerning kerning] problem. Don't you see the same problem in other applications if you choose the same font, font-weight and font-size.
I only find one other kerning [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/789254 question] here -- it is marked unsolved. I find it strange that Firefox got involved with this at all rather than leaving such things to the operating system and font metrics.
Does the problem go away with "command+0" (zero) which resets [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages zoom level] to normal. If you mess with the font sizes in your preferences because you want larger print that would have the same effect.
Also found this one recently reported for [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/892222 Firefox 7 in ubuntu 11.04] which appears much worse. If it involves Firefox and specific operating systems it becomes a lot harder to diagnose who or what is responsible.

Using one ipod on 2 computers - is this possible?!

Hi guys I would really appreciate it if somebody could help out with this:
I want to buy my girlfriend an 80gb Ipod Classic for xmas and load it with some music using my existing version of itunes (version 7.3.2.6) and then give it to her so that she can use the ipod with the verison of itunes that it comes with or she downloads. *This music will NOT be music purchased from itunes.*
Is this possible? When her friend connects her new nano to my girlfriends pc and tries to use my girlfriends slightly older version of itunes all of the songs are greyed out and not useable.
I do not want to buy the ipod and load it up only to find she can then not use it with her version of itunes.
If anyone is certain about this i'd be greatly appreciative of an answer.

To change it back to automatically syncing you remove the check mark from "Manually manage songs and videos" and press Apply. If you don't want to use it as file storage device and want it to automatically eject when it is finished updating you also remove the check mark from "enable disk use" (this is checked by default when you set the iPod to update manually. Remember though that if you go back to updating automatically, any songs on the iPod that aren't in iTunes will be removed. I started creating my site on a PB 15", but when I'm home I like the speed of my iMac and I'd like to continue the editing process on my iMac but I can't find the files that iWeb saves.
I'd ideally like to save my site on my 30gig iPod using it as a hard drive between both. I would love for this to happen but I can't find the files saved by iWeb. Is this even possible?
I've even tried linking my PB to my iMac via firewire as a hard drive. No Luck.

I think iWeb only recognizes the 'domain.sites' file so while you can set up more than one site, they are in the same project.
Of course, the workround is to move the domain.sites file out of the default location, which them makes iWeb create a new one. You can then work on any number of projects, only moving the correct file into the default location for work on each one. Not elegant by any means, but until someone suggests a better way (or Apple produce a more flexible version of the software) it works fine that way.

In the new version of Thunderbird it seems impossible to set that attachments are shown as"Read only". It was possible in previous versions. Can anybody help?

In previous version of Thunderbird it was possible to set that incoming attachments are shown as "Read only". The solution was to set browser.helperApps.deleteTempFileOnExit as TRUE. In the latest version, no matter how I set this value,. the attachments ARE NOT shown as Read Only. As I need my attachments to be shown as Read Only, I had to restore older versions of Thunderbird. Does anybody have an idea how I can solve this in the new version of Thunderbird ?

I saw a pop-up which did not allow me to click it when I scatter the windows on my Mac. I was using Private Browsing, with pop-ups disabled, but one pop-up managed to get passed my settings, and open in another window. It would not allow me to select it, so all I did was to close Firefox, and start a new session. So far, everything has been normal, I also deleted the cookies it installed.
But, I still keep seeing that "Error Console" notice under my "Tools" on the Menu Bar, and when I clicked on it, it listed errors (such as what I listed above).
Would someone explain this to me?

The messages you see in the Error Console are mostly to assist the web site's author in resolving compatibility problems. Some of them can assist you in determining why a web site doesn't work as intended. The one you mentioned doesn't sound that suspicious, except that it occurs on many sites. Perhaps one of your add-ons is trying to monitor what you type?
To diagnose whether this is caused by an add-on or one of your settings, you could try the following:
First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that resolve the errors? If so, then an add-on usually is the culprit. If not, try creating a new (blank) profile: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].
If the new profile works correctly, you can choose between further research on your old profile or moving key settings like bookmarks from your old profile to the new one. They have a trial version you can test before you purchase. It limits you to 10 minutes of streaming before it starts inserting noise into the stream.
But you may not need it. I've read a bit further, and it appears that you may be able to stream any system audio to an Airport Express without needing AirFoil since you have Mountain Lion. I though it would work only with an Apple TV, but I've seen mention that it works with the AE as well (I don't have one to try). When you get your Airport Express set up, go to the Sound (speaker) icon in the menu bar, hold down the Option key, and click the icon. You may see the AE listed there as a selectable output device; if so, select it and all your system audio should be sent to the AE, including Spotify.
