Is this real DDR3-1600Mhz Memory?

I was wondering if this is real DDR3-1600Mhz Memory?
http://www.alternate.nl/html/product/Geheugen_DDR3-1600/Corsair/4GB_DDR3-1600_Kit/-1078683/?tn=HARDWARE&l1=Geheugen&l2=DDR3&l3=DDR3-1600
Its a dutch site, but if you click 'meer details' you should see all the spec's.
In short:
Size 4096MB
Timings 9-9-9-24
Voltage 1.5
I was wondering since it was only 75 euro's, don't know if that much for real ddr3 1600 ram or not. I'm checking at more RAM sticks but are all 1.5V ddr3-1600Mhz ram real ddr3 1600Mhz ram or are they like triple the amount of money?

It looks to me that the linked modules in your post are engineered for i7 X58 systems (TW3X4G1600C9D). The X48C manual shows 1.5v for DDR3 in dual channel as ok for the board, but specific requirements as to population of the modules is emphasized in pages 2-7 & 2-8. They are also most likely 'rated' 1600 by controlled laboratory testing, & only 1333 chipped.

  • Ddr3 1600mhz memory

I want to purchase the corsair vengeance laptop memory 2x4gb
    But its a ddr3 1600mhz
I would like to know if it would work on the macbook pro i7??
Cause every post i read says that it supports ddr3 1333mhz
    So any sugestions.

It may work, it may not work.  If it works, it may not perform as Apple has designed the MBP.  If you want to add RAM without risking unnecessary problems, stick to the specifications in  your user manual.
Also buy from trusted vendors such as OWC or Crucial.
    Ciao.

  • How much real world difference would there be between the 1600MHz memory of a 4,1 Mac Pro and the 800MHz memory of a 3,1 Mac Pro? My main app is multitrack audio with Pro Tools. Thanks so much.

How much real world performance difference would there be between the 1600MHz memory of a 4,1 Mac Pro and the 800MHz memory of a 3,1 Mac Pro? My main app is multitrack audio with Pro Tools. Thanks so much. The CPU speed of either one would be between 2.8GHz and 3.0GHz.

What are the differences.... firmware and build, there were tweaks to the PCIe bus itself. As a result 3rd party cards and booting is better.
Support in 5,1 firmware for more 56xx and W35/36xx processors. Also memory timing.
The 4,1 was "64-bit boot mode optional" and 5,1 was default. I don't know if there are changes but I assume so, even if it is not reflected elsewhere or in version number.
I don't know what the prices are but 2009, to buy one today, when the 2010 is $1800.
The 2008 of course was test bed for 64-bit UEFI and it sure seems even Lion and then ML are not as well engineered - outside of Linc who would be the least likely to have a problem.
I would assume 2010 has better support for 8GB and even 16GB DIMMs as well as for 1333MHz.
Nehalem family had only come out in fall 2008 and a lot of work went into making improvements well past 2009.
If you remember, there were serious heat problems with those and 10.5.7+ up thru 10.6.2 even with iTunes, audio, and hyperthreading and cores hitting and staying in 80*C range. That I assume was both poor code (sleep does not mean poke and ask constantly) as well as changes in SMC and kernel improvements, to work around. Microcode can be patched in firmware, kernel, by drivers and by code, but it is best when the chips and core elements don't need to be.
If someone is stretched, and can get 2009 for $1200 it might be a fine fit. That year offered the OEM GT120 which isn't really as nice and matched for today both OS and apps that rely on a GPU. And for odd reasons two such 120's don't work well in Lion+ but that is probably minor. Having the 5770 is just "nicer" though.
There are some articles about trouble booting with PCIe SATA/SAS/SSD and less trouble with 2010. Also support for graphic card and audio I think was one of those "minor" 5770 related support issues. But shows some small changes were made there too.
I wish someone would come out and pre-announce DDR4 + SATA3 along with PCIe 3.x (for bandwidth and more power per rail) along with say Ivy Bridge-E socket processors was going to be this summer's 3 yr anniversary and to replace the 2010 designed motherboard. But that is what is on Intel's and others drawing boards simmeringn in the pot.

  • MSI X48C Platinum ddr3 1600mhz problem

    Hi
    My PC Specs are
Intel core 2 quad Extreme Qx9770
    ATI HD4870X2
    Corsair 4GB DDR3-1600 Ram Kit (2 x 2GB, PC3 12800, 9-9-9-24, TW3X4G1600C9DHX)
    2xWD velociraptor 300gbx2 raid0
When I raise ram frequency to 1600mhz (1:2)-ram voltage always manually to 1.79- then windows don't boot and an error messege appears about missing files.
SPD are auto  and command rate to 2N(only here my pc boot).
Any idea how to fix this?

Please note what Corsair says in the datasheet for your modules:
    Quote
Every part is tested in Corsair's factory at 1600MHz, but your actual results may vary depending on the overclocking margin of
    your CPU and motherboard.
Your memory modules are DDR3-1333 memory modules with a permission to overclock & overvolt them to 1600 MHz @1.8V. However, without out an official guarantee that this will work in all cases.
You can try to increase the memory voltage a little more and to add a little extra voltage to the Northbridge/Memory Controller.  Make sure that Spread Spectrum is disabled at all times.

    Apple Unibody 13.3" MacBook Pro (Mid-2010): 4GB vs. 8GB DDR3 1066MHz Memory (RAM).
    1. About my Mac.
         Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo (2.66GHz)
         Memory (RAM): 4.00GB DDR3 1066MHz (2 x 2.00GB)
Hard Drive: 320GB 5400RPM (Apple Stock HD)
         Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M (256MB)
Operating System: Mac OS X Lion (10.7.1)
    2. My concerns/questions
For quite some time now, I've been planning to upgrade the memory (RAM) of my MacBook Pro from 4.00GB (Apple Stock) to 8.00GB. In terms of "FASTER BOOT TIMES, IMPROVED RESPONSIVENESS (OPENING and CLOSING PROGRAMS, FILES & ETC.), SMOOTHER GRAPHICS, ABILITY TO OPEN MORE PROGRAMS SIMULTANEOUSLY AND OVERALL IMPROVEMENT IN PERFORMANCE", does it really make a BIG difference?
If ever I am going to pursue this upgrade, should I let Apple do the upgrade or buy the parts and do it myself?
If I am going to buy the parts and install it myself, what brand do you recommend? Crucial, Kingston, OWC & etc.?
Why does Apple charge so much for memory (RAM) upgrades? Is the memory module they are using any special compared to the ones we can find in Amazon (Crucial, Kingston, OWC & etc.)?
Thanks for helping me out with my concerns.

I recommend OWC RAM because it's reasonably priced and OWC's support is great if you ever need it. I recommend installing the RAM yourself because it's dead simple. There is no good reason for anyone ever to pay Apple's prices for RAM.
I don't think you will see faster boot times with more RAM, but that shouldn't be a concern, because there's seldom any need to shut down or restart a MBP. Just put it to sleep when you aren't using it, unless you won't use it again for more than two or three days. Opening and closing programs won't benefit significantly from more RAM either, but when running multiple large programs at once, you will see a significant improvement in their performance. It's well worth the small investment ($65) to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB.

  • Why can't I use the 16GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) with 24GB flash Hard Drive Acceleration Cache?

I tried to customize the Envy 15t but I can't proceed on upgrading the following.
    Error
24GB SSD Acceleration Cache requires purchase only up to 8GB System Memory.
Why can't I use the 16GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) with 24GB flash Hard Drive Acceleration Cache?
Can HP explain this to me? or any one? please

    Hi,
The 24Gb cache drive will store manything and normally it will need at least twice the size (capacity) of RAM. Double 16Gb is 32Gb therefore 24Gb is not big enough.
    Regards.

  • Whats the REAL FX5500-T128 memory bus?

    Hello everyone!
I already searched for the same question in the forum, finding several posts about it, and none of them is usefull, all have lies and insults, i just want the real information, without fanatisms. Im a proud user of a MSI K8N Neo Plat. so, im not going to bash MSI without a cause.
Here are the other posts i found:
    GeForce FX 5500-T128
    FX5500-T128 memory interface 64bits or 128??
I think the MSI lies: See the true 64 or 128 bits
Here an Admin posted a link
MSI GeForceFX 5600Xt-TD128 vs. GeForceFX 5500-T128
To the MSI USA site where MSI says NOTHING about the memory interface but he manages to QUOTE the site saying 64bit. Even when on the previous post everyone in the forum was saying the card has 128bit (except the actual owners of the cards --weird, eh?)!
Also, im going to quote the following statements:
Here, in the MSI MIAMI Site, it says the following:
    http://www.msimiami.com/spanish/products/detail_spec/FX5500%20-T128_spa.htm
    Quote
    # Performance
    # Dobles RAMDACs: 350MHz.
So, there is NO ONE who actually knows the real memory bus on this card?
This is the official MSI Forum! There should be at least one person from the company crawling around! I cant believe that a forum hosted on msi.com.tw has no one from the company to clear out things like this.
Also there is some that say the card with 4 memory chips are 64bit, well, this one has 4 memory chips if you have a good look at the picture on the site above.
Another thing that misleads me (and several people) is that MSI usually call the 64bit cards FX(gpu)-T(memory) while the 128bit are FX(gpu)-TD(memory) (although the D, I think is more related to the DVI thing).
I was about to buy this card, and im really pissed off with MSI for not being clear on what they are selling, im emailing them right now to see if they had an error on the site or whats going on.
I really hope no-one takes this post as offensive, but i find all this very confusing (not to say disturbing)

    elcuervito,
One way to find out exactly what you have is with RivaTuner. As an example, here is the portion data pulled on my Vid Card:

The correct RAM specifications for a 2012 13" MBP are:  204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM.  The best sources for Mac compatible RAM are OWC and Crucial.

If you changed your Apple ID, you will not  be able to update any of the content that you used in the past. The worse case scenario here would have been to change the password. Really all you needed to do was go on the Apple site and change the password, unless you provided them with information. This will make it difficult for you to deal with turning off Find My iPhone and other Apple ID related steps. All you really needed to do was delete the email.

I had this problem about 2 months ago and, as others have suggested in this thread, eventually traed it backed to some stills I had scanned and brought into the project.  Accidentally I had changed the scanner settings, with the result that a couple of skills were well beyond 1980 x 1020 pixels.  I resampled the stills and everything was fine again.  Hope this might help.
