Is this real or a scam?

If you changed your Apple ID, you will not  be able to update any of the content that you used in the past. The worse case scenario here would have been to change the password. Really all you needed to do was go on the Apple site and change the password, unless you provided them with information. This will make it difficult for you to deal with turning off Find My iPhone and other Apple ID related steps. All you really needed to do was delete the email.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Egit one, i asked for the serial number by checking the settings of her phone. After geting the serial nu,ber, i entered it in apple's site to verify. I was kinda surprised since the phone that appeared was 5s instead of 5c. I asked my aunt what's the color of her phone and she said it's green. So could this be a fake iphone phone?

If the warranty is showing less than 12 months ,the iPhone has already been activated ,so yes most likely secondhand

  • I get an email from Apple? asking me to change my Apple ID password. Is this real?

I have been getting an email from Apple? asking me to change my Apple ID password. Is this real. I have never seen it before in many years of Mac use. I don't want to click on it in case it's fraudulent. Has this happened to anyone else?

If you were able to use your existing Apple ID and password to successfully log in to this site and post your question, then they remain valid and the email is a phishing attempt. Delete it.
To anyone else coming across this post who fell victim to this or a similar phishing scam by entering their Apple ID and password on the authentic-looking page linked in the email: your credentials have been stolen.
In that event follow the "Want to change your Apple ID or password" instructions on this Apple Support page: http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/

  • Received an email supposedly from Apple that my Apple ID was used in Russia to buy music. Is this real?

I received an email supposedly from Apple from "Notice" that my Apple ID was used in Russia to buy music. Is this real? There was a link to click labeled AppleID. I didn't click it, but the message said I needed to change my Apple ID immediately.

What does the email look like - emails from Apple tend to be personalised (not 'dear customer' or 'hello') and the have proper English in them (if you hover your mouse pointer over the link do you see what URK it would take you to ? ; it might show at the bottom of the screen).
It's likely to be a phishing attempt to try and get your account and payment details - you could forward it to Apple : [email protected]
Just to be sure check your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store

No, it's not a glitch. It was intentional. It's even mentioned in the update notes. But, yes, it is just a change in the display; the phone is not any faster.

  • Is this a real or fake HP Elitebook 840 G1

    Hello,
Can I add here some pictures?
I'm going to look tomorrow to a laptop, the seller say it's an HP Elitebook 840 G1
He never used it and once turned it on, but than he had to registrate and thought it was better not to do that and leave that the person who buy the laptop.
I asked him what model it is, because there are several models, but he can't find it.
    He said it has:
    I5
    4 RAM
    14"
and that the hard disc is 360 and the strange thing is that I can't find a HP Elitebook 840 G1 with a hard disc from 360
    He bought it in Canada.
He did send me some pictures with the stickers which are on the laptop, but I don't know where to look for to check this is real or not.
    Hope someone can help me!
But I don't know how to add the pictures here at this post, I'm on a Ipad

it should be something like this around the edges, the base of this has been removed.

  • I received an alert with all Firefox trademarks asking me to confirm ny email address, was this real?

Iwas working late at night about a week ago.
A Firefox screen popped up. I am accustomed to this, even though I expected I had downloaded Firefox 5 apparently (obviously) that update failed. The pop up screen which appeared authentic, all appropriate graphics, asked if my "humdinger@evrika was my preferred email. It is for these purposes, so I replied "Yes"! I am a recent victim of some pretty serious hacking over the recent 10 months. My lawyer and I have counter-hacked, and we are now presenting those facts to Yahoo. Yes-Man this is a lot of woe-begone-work. We want to catch the hacker. Is the screen appearing to be authentic Firefox yours or is it a fisher?

Scam. Do not reply, do not give them any account information.

    QC,
This email seems to be the email that is sent to make sure you have updated information for your Verizon account.  The email would be questionable if it were asking for your password.  You do not have to update that information here you can go to your Account  login and update your email address in your account.  There may even be a prompt when you login asking you to verify your contact email. Please let us know if you need further assistance.  Thanks, Tonya C.
