Is U.S. AppleCare Different from Canadian Version?

If I wanted to buy a MacBook Air or an iPad as a birthday present for another family member who lives in Canada.
I have a few questions about puchasing AppleCare or AppleCare Plus and what would be the best path to obtain coverage.
If I buy AppleCare at the same time I purchase the MacBook Air or iPad in the U.S., will the plan be honored in Canada?
What are the primary differences between buying the coverage in the U.S. versus Canada?
What if I decide to buy AppleCare later on, how should that work? I read somewhere that you have to bring the device in for inspection first in order to purchase the coverage. If the person brings it in to the Apple Store in Canada, does it matter if the Apple device was purchased in the U.S?

Apple has always recommended purchasing AppleCare in the country in which the user lives. Fewer registration hassles that way. The AppleCare plan terms are the same, to the best of my reading. For AppleCare+ for the iPad, you must buy it at the time you buy the iPad or within 30 days thereafter. For the Mac you have until the one-year factory warranty runs out.
Note that while the warranty on the MacBook Air is international, the warranty on an iPad may not be. It certainly isn't for the WiFi+Cellular iPad. So I'd strongly suggest buying at least the iPad as well as AppleCare for either devices in Canada. You also will avoid any issue of import duties, if any, if you buy in Canada.

Content Transfer - M version is different from A version

Hi All,
I am new to BI 7.0 and when i am trying to transfer some cubes from the Bi content to the infoarea; though the cubes are getting transffered successfully but i am getting the message that " M version is different from A version". Does this message makes any difference on the functionality of the cube??
Also all the infoobjects of the cube are in a Inactive status. Please provide a solution to it.

1. What is the software version are you using?
2. What is your target hardware?
You can check the above information by open MAX -> under software tab of both computer and you target
I suspect that the software version of your host computer and the target is difference as state in the picture attached.

View of versions in Organizer in PE9 different from prior versions

I just loaded PE 9 (I was using PS 8).
In Organizer in PS8 (and in prior versions) non-version photos in the thumbnail view are all on a dark gray background. When you modify a photo the stacked version thumbnail then appears as a slide with a lighter gray background. Thus, it was very easy to distinguish photos that had been modifed from those that had not. In Organizer PS9 in the thumbnail view, the gray color for all of the photos appears eactly the same (in PS9's Organizer, they look like they are version sets in the PS8 Organizer). (Note that In both PS8 and PS9, there is the little symbol that apeears in the upper corner of the photo that shows that it is a version set and the little triangle on the right side of the background surrounding the photo is there in both versions - those have not changed. What appears to have changed is the ability to distinguish quicly, using the background color, modified from unmodified photos!)
So, is there a way to get the same effect in PS9 Organizer? (I sure hope so - if not, the change this would be a huge step backwards.)

Here's how I'd like it to look (from PSE 8) - you can see how much easier it is to tell which photos have been modified (and which have not) - when you go through as many photos as I do in Photoshop Elements (probably 50,000 or so per year), it really helps to have things the way they were in PSE8:

Oracle spatial relationships works differently from one version to another

Hi, recently we migrate versión of Oracle, from 11.1.0.6 to 11.2.0.4, and we have some troubles with relationships in Oracle, in previous version the next script return COVERS but in actual version return TOUCH, we have many functions in Oracle using the function SDO_RELATE so its very dificult to change plsql code, my question is why is diferent the logic of relationships with this new version? or we have to do something to configure this?

This is not true, because the script should return COVERS, the example in script is a polygon and the line that is compared with SDO_GEOM.RELATE is one side of the polygon, following the concepts:
COVERS: The interior of one object is completely contained in the interior or the boundary of the other object and their boundaries intersect.
TOUCH: The boundaries intersect but the interiors do not intersect.
The line is completely contained in the boundary of the polygon, that is why the result must be COVERS not TOUCH

Safari tabs in iPad Air different from older versions?

I realized that the tabs does not show for my iPad Air safari. Instead, a ... icon appears on the right side of each tab, which requires me to click on it before being able to view my tabs. Any idea how to revert it back to the good ole tabs where I can see all my tabs in 1 go?

1, no, iPads bought in the UK will come with a UK plug. All you need is a plug adapter for it, you don't need a convertor.
2, warranty isn't international. If it's a wifi-only model then you might be ok to get it serviced in Greece if you have a problem - but you may have to return it to the UK for service.

After you replicate the datasource,it will become inactive and so you need to activate it again.
Always replicate first and then activate.

Saving as PDF from Excel looks different to Excel version

Hi
I have been working in Excel and been saving PDF files for the past year using the inbuilt feature in Excel. I have recently installed Adobe Acrobat so that I could save PDFs directly from Excel instead. When I save exactly the same file from Excel, the adobe acrobat PDF looks different to the excel PDF version.
I have uploaded an image to show you what I mean.

The image on the left is the correct version, this version was saved using the "Save As PDF" option built into excel. The image on the right is the version saved with the Excel acrobat add-in. You can notice how the font is different on acrobat version, the part where it says "Date" and "Description. You will also notice the black lines above the little card icons do not go right to the end of the line like they should. Each of of them little card icons is a seperate image, does Acroboat have trouble converting these little images or something as they appear fine on the Excel version.
Is there anything that can be done so converting it to PDF will look closer to how its suppose to look?

I checked the properties of each file. The Excel PDF version has more fonts listed in the properties section compared to the PDF maker one. I can select the "Date" and "description" and copy and paste it as text but now it appears the text is fine, its showing correctly now even though I havent changed anything.
The icon problem is still there though.

I am facing this problem while start debugging the Provider-Hosted app through VS2013. I want to deploy the app with same version. So please let me know any solution
to remove the app instance from office365 online, so that I can deploy the same app with same version on the specified "Developer Site".

How to unify multiple iPhoto libraries from different Mac OS versions?

I am pretty good with the Mac itself and have been a long time user. I knew full well acumulating multiple iphoto libraries in older backups (intead of building up on one) was not a great idea but for several reasons I have had to live that way. Now is the time to clean it all up once and for all and I need some wisdom;
-I got my external drive as my new iphoto library now. It's being used, there are already albums in it and it's ready to accept older libraries.
-What I want is that the older libraries (about 10 of them from different Mac OS versions) to show up in the new external drive as they looked in iphot back then. As albums in other words.
-I do not want them imported in a single folder that's full of photos.
Any help is much appreciated,

If you imported a previous iphoto library into your new one, it created a folder inside the iphoto called "imported".
That was the problem. One should never import one library into another. Only iPhoto 6 libraries and earlier can be imported into a library now. With the introduction of iPhoto 7 the library was changed from a folder to a package which can't be imported by the current iPhoto version.
To use an older library with a new iPhoto version one just opens that library with iPhoto and lets iPhoto update it as necessary. No importing necessary.
Also you can use the paid verson of iPhoto Library Manager to merge those additional libraries into your current working library (be sure to have a current backup of your current library before merging). What will be included are albums, Events, keywords, titles, descriptions, places. Books, slideshows, calendars in the other libraries will be copied over as just albums.

Agent version differs from LMService

I am connecting a NW 7.31 Java system with solman 7.1 SP10 with SMD diagnostic agent for Manage system config set up
I have installed the SMD agent and connected with central SLD & solman.
In the agent connectivity it can be seen that the diagnostic agent is in pending status with the message " 7.10.1.0.2011070611153 Agent version differs from LMService"
what could be the reason and what is LMService here.
The system kernel version is 720_EXT.
Please guide and provide a solution

You can only buy content from your own country's store - if the music that you want isn't in your country's store then it's because the record company haven't granted Apple a license to sell it there. Is it available on other music purchase download sites that you have access to ?

Let's start with iTunes.
Have you updated iTunes to 11.1.5, because the previous version did appear to have an issue about seeing iPods?
With iTunes 11.1.5 installed, look in Edit/Preferences/Devices, (or use the ALT key, followed by the E key and then the F key) and make sure that the box named Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically does not have a tick in the box.
Once you have doen those two things, check to see if the iPod is seen by iTunes.

Really?
OS stands for Operating System. (In computer speak, IO means Input/Output.)
iOS originally stood for iPhone Operating System, but it now refers to the iPod Touch and iPhone. The iPod Classic, which you have listed in your profile as your iPod, does not use iOS.
I assume that you have been listening to the Podcast in your iTunes on the computer as you cannot transfer it to your iPod. It's what I'd do.
