Is Unicode Bangla Fonts and Unicode Bangla Keyboards are compatible with Mac OS 10.4.11?

Hi,
Please let me know if those are compatible with my MB.
I also need to know the process or method of removing or uninstalling the bangla fonts and keyboards from the system. Please guide me.
I deleted few files in removing the fonts and keyboard layout, but the Unijoy and Rapali layouts remain in the input source. Is that gonna clash if i reinstall the fonts and keyboard layout again.
After removing the fonts and keyboard layout, I opened the preference pane, then i checked the box from the input menu, then i opened the MS Word to see if the fonts and layouts are removed properly or not, i thought i won't be able to type, but i was wondering that what files i removed.
Actually I was facing trouble in typing the Conjunct bangla words since the installations, conjunct words not working as per the typing guide says. That's why i tried to remove it and install again. Now i am confused.
I look forward to your help.
Following are the system information that i am using now:
Model Name:          MacBook
  Model Identifier:          MacBook2,1

Hi Omar,
I'm not familiar with hose but try thee steps...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Then open Fon't Book & Validate all Fonts & check for duplicates.

Any device that Palm manufaturers currently should be able to get the data from the older device.
Although Palm doesn't make handhelds anymore you can get a smartphone and transfer the data over to it without issue.
If you go to the new WebOS you can transfer the data over it just might take a little work.

  • External keyboard that compatible with mac

I'm using macbook pro 13 inch with mountain lion installed in it. I want to use external keyboard because i want to keep a distance between my eyes and the screen. But i want a wired keyboard, and for me I will not choosing wireless keyboard because it use some batteries. Also sometime the bluetooth connection not so good (in some cases i read in the review). I know that apple has its own keyboard but for me the price still expensive for a wired keyboard. So, what is the keyboard that suite with mac? Is it all keyboard including windows type keyboard? Any cheap keyboard compared to apple's one?

    Jill,
Boy you hit an old thread. I don't know that zikeryn is still around, so I'll throw my thoughts in here. My first Apple USB Extended keyboard lasted about 1 1/2 years - and the I (stupidly) tried to clean it with a very moist (read WET) micro-fiber cloth and got liquid in the keyboard. My bad, so I can't blame the keyboard. I rushed right out (to Amazon) and purchased another. I love this keyboard - I was lost when I had to go back to using my built-in keyboard. It's sturdy like a brick - it just doesn't like water!
I would urge you to go for it - unlike third-party keyboards that may have drivers, System Preference panes, etc., this on just, as I said, WORKS.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Is Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 compatible with Mac mini?

Hi, I am thinking of getting a Mac mini. I currently have a Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 which I use with my HP laptop. Does anyone know if it is fully compatible with Mac mini?

It is compatible -- to a certain extent.
The Windows key will become the  (Command) key. The Mac will let you know that the keyboard you plugged in couldn't be identified, so it will ask you to type the Z key, followed by the / key. Choose ANSI and you should be ready to use the keyboard. Any multimedia keys or extra keys not part of the standard keyboard layout will have no function. The F12 key becomes the Eject key.
(PS/2 keyboards are not compatible with the Mac, unless you purchase a $15 PS/2-to-USB converter.)

You can often find real Mac keyboards at thrift stores for a few dollars. Any Mac USB keyboard will work
As for third-party boards. I like Kensington--good Mac support:

Some PC keyboards may not work with the Mac. Especially, specialty gaming keyboards will not work with Macs and OS X.  Some PC keyboards are designed to specifically work with newer versions of Windows at that's it!
They may not even work as a basic keyboard, but not entirely sure.
I know for a fact specialty gaming keyboards do not work at all on a Mac because there have been posts here from gamers who tried to use special gaming keyboards and mice and they would not function on a Mac.
If you know anyone with a Mac, ask them if they have a spare Mac keyboard you can try before buying.
    Good Luck!

  • What keyboards are compatible with eMac?

  • The video card Asus GeForce GTX 650 and GeForce GTX 750 are compatible with After Effects CC? An apology for my English.

I will buy one of the two, but I urge confirm if any of them will help me with Newest After Effects CC. Thank you very much.

This page lists the technical specifications for After Effects.
After Effects doesn't really use the GPU for much besides the obsolete ray-traced renderer (see here), so either one should be fine. Some third-party effects, such as Element 3d from VideoCopilot, make use of the GPU, but their requirements are different from AE's and if you plan to use them, you should check their requirements before you purchase.

  • What type of Fonts are compatible between Mac and PC?

    Hello all:
I work in InDesign primarily from a Windows based PC. I occasionally do some work on a Mac as well. I have a mixture of font type I use (TTF, OpenType etc) on my PC. I know a lot of font types are not compatible between PC and Mac. My questions is, are OpenType fonts compatible with Mac?
What suggestions would you give to people working on two platforms as to how to best manage their font library (short of buying two versions of the same fonts)?
    Thanks.

OpenType and Windows TrueType fonts are usable on both Windows and MacOS X. Windows Type 1 fonts can be used with Adobe applications on both Windows and MacOX X (although on the Macintosh, the Windows Type 1 fonts must be put into the Creative Suite's private font directory).
Macintosh Type 1 and TrueType fonts cannot be used on Windows systems under any condition.
Going forward, for cross-platform compatibility, at Adobe we would strongly recommend exclusive use of OpenType fonts, thus avoiding the need for purchasing more than one version of any font.

what other keyboard is compatible with a HP NX9010?

Thank you for your response, Much appreciated.
I recently reloaded windows XP, the laptop was working fine but now i am having a problem with the keyboard, it seems as if the number 6 key is jammed, but it is not, when the laptop is booting up, it beeps as if a key is held down, when windows starts up and you right click, it makes a continuous beeping noise like you pressing a key, when you open up a word or excel doc, the number 6 continously come on. i removed the number 6 key and cleans the circuit as i though it might be dirty but the 6 continues to come, even though nothing is touching the circuit. i though it could be software related because i reloaded but when i did a disk scan, the laptop started up, when it came to the scan, it automatcially got cancelled, this is because it is picking up the 6 key as pressed. Could this definately be the keyboard?

  • Fieldpoint Hardware Drivers that are compatible with LV 8.5 and Windows Vista

I trying to develop in LabVIEW for some Fieldpoint hardware. I was going to download the hardware drivers from NI, but only see drivers that are compatible with Windows XP and LV 8.2
Or, am I just misinterpreting this?
Also, are there any potential conflicts with me developing on Vista, if my end-user, is uding another OS?

One should welcome adversity as an opportunity to excel.

    Hi Daddy-O,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  This is a little misleading, and unfortunately the driver you are looking for is currently not directly searchable.  In order to use your FieldPoint hardware with LabVIEW 8.5 and Windows Vista, you will need the FieldPoint 6.0 driver.  This can be found within the disk that is distributed with new FieldPoint hardware, and any Device Drivers CD from August 2007 forward.  Unfortunately, a standalone installer is not available for this driver, and if you do not have a hard copy of the Device Drivers, you can download this here.  From this installer, you should be able to select FieldPoint 6.0 and install this software.
I hope this helps!  Let me know if there is anything else I can clarify.  Have a great day!

  • External Hard Drive Compatible with Mac and Windows?

So my old laptop is a Dell Latitude and I bought a Western Digital external hard drive and put all my files/pics/music on it. The information the WD came with said its compatible with Mac and Windows, but when I plug it into my brand spankin new Macbook, it doesn't register with the computer and won't show up. What's going on?

I recently ran into that problem. In order to have the hard drive compatible for both PC and Mac it must be in a FAT32 format. In order to do this though all your files will be deleted (in order to reformat). You can do this by plugging in the hard drive into you mac and going under disk utility and there you will find your hard drive and under erase change the format to FAT32 and then you press erase (all will be deleted off the external drive though)

  • I've got a late 2009 mac mini with a 320gb hard drive and I want to upgrade it to a 1tb drive or bigger. What HDDs are compatible with my mini?

I've got a late 2009 mac mini with a 320gb hard drive and I want to upgrade it to a 1tb drive or bigger. What HDDs are compatible with my mini?
Because of the price I'm not interested in solid state drives, unless of course you want to send me $1,000.
I've already got external drives but I take my mini back and forth to work and don't want to carry those drives with me.
I'm not interested in buying a laptop. My mini works great so why waste $1,000 or more when I can buy a 1 to 3 TB hdd for under $300 and have exactly what I want. My late 2009 Mac Mini with a large hdd.
I went to Crucial's website and they can't tell me what drives fit my Mac Mini. That's where I got my ram (8GB). I'm ONLY interested in name brand quality HDDs.

The limiting factor in your 2009 mini is the max 9.5mm drive thickness.
One of the largest capacity 2.5" drives that meets this criteria is the HGST (formerly Hitachi) at 1.5GB
Any reputable SATA HDD you can find that is not thicker then this 9.5mm will work.
