Is v_GS_OPERATING_SYSTEM.lastbootuptime0 based on client regional format?

Hi experts, I don't seem to be able to find confirmation on this so I refer to wealth of knowledge as this site.
This is refering specifically to querying SCCM db directly with SQL.
Is the format of v_GS_OPERATING_SYSTEM.lastbootuptime0 client machine dependant? I assume that as this is hardware inventory that the date is retrieved directly from the machine not from any AD interaction.
Example, I have PC’s sitting on multiple domains in multiple countries with, obviously, various client regional date settings. So could running a query across all machines potentially return multiple date formats?
v_GS_OPERATING_SYSTEM also has a local0 (eg. ‘Oc09’) – would that be a definitive source to determine the date format to apply to the lastbootuptime0?
One last thing... I dare to ask in this forum... are the answers to the above questions also true for 2012 sccm?
Thanks folks.

Yes that answer is true for cm12.
The only way to know for sure is to review the underlying wmi class and it doesn't says what it is.
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394239(v=vs.85).aspx but I would assume it is local time.

    Hi,
Please elt me knpw how to display the Tcode based iviews in HTML format. Please let me know.
    Regards,
    Manu

    Hello Manu,
If you are integrating SAP transacations using SAP GUI for html may not adher to Portal look and feel.
Also, if you are using SAP GUI for windows may not help. You can use application parameters to hide some menus and icons of SAP transaction.
The best option could be SAP GUI for Java, but this confugration settings needs to be done at server level and each client machines.
Search for information with SAP Gui for java in sdn might help.
Try some settings in ITS theme generator may also help.

  • Formatting dates according to language defined in "Regional format" (not "Country/Region") setting

    Hi all,
How do I format a date/time value according to the language defined in Settings > Region > Regional format on Windows Phone 8.1 (WinRT)?

    Hi Gabriel,
Windows.Globalization.Language class provide the functionality to the regional format in windows phone, access it and create
a new cultureInfo object. Have a look at the following link for details.

  • United Kingdom Regional Format sets Monday as the first day of the week.

With the Region Settings (Settings -> General -> International -> Region Format) set to United Kingdom, Calendar displays Monday as the first day of the week. I have seen other posts whereby it was suggested to change to US Internationalization but this will also change the date and telephone number formats to US settings, far more frustrating.
Have I been sheltered from properly formatted calendars all my life or is this a mistake and it should start the week on Sunday. It is consistent in both the Week and Month view.
Am I crazy or does anyone else agree with is?

Same here. One of the first things I do in this sort of application is switch week start to Mondays.

  • A Problem with Region Format Settings

    Hi!
I have a peculiar problem with Region Format settings on my iPod touch (Settings > General > International > Region Format). It appears that iPod touch can support more region formats than it is stated on that list. Once I registered my iPod, I selected my location, Lithuania, and it automatically set (I think because of this action, and not another, like my PC settings) Region Format to Lithuanian. Although it is nonexistent on the menu list! Good news!
However, the problem is that while I explored my iPod I accidentally checked another region, and there is no "cancel" option. So my region switched to another. And now I am not able to switch it back to Lithuanian again because there is no such selection (reset or restore didn't help).
Has anybody any suggestions how could I return to my preferred region format (Lithuanian)? Thanks!

thats interesting. I think the ipod took those settings from your computer/mac.
anyway, shouldn't there be something near you that has the same region format settings? maybe you can just use something that's exactly the same.
and btw: some of the regions have arrows next to them which brings you to subregions of that region. maybe you should check that out?
otherwise ... well ... I think only a restore would bring back the original settings.

  • ACE: Can I loadbalance based on client Source IP/and client tcp source port?

We recently migrated serving a client from being thick client at the desktop to being served via a citrix farm.  Prior to the migration the clients came from about 5000 unique source IP's to their VIP, now they come from only 31 unique source IP's from the citrix servers in the farm. A citrix server can host 400 client sessions, since the default action of the ACE is to loadbalance based on source IP's, the ACE is sending up to 400 sessions from one citrix server to 1 real server in the farm.  Is there anyway I can loadbalance based on client source IP and tcp source port so the ACE views the 400 sessions from one citrix server as unique sessions?  The application does not require persistence.

    Hello,
Yes, you can configure a "Sticky Layer 4 Payload" as descirbed on this Link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/ace/vA2_3_0/command/reference/sticky.html#wp1039276
Unfrotunately I do not have any working example. You must calculate the right values for the Offset and the Length to configure.

  • Best practices for securing communication to internet based SCCM clients ?

What type of SSL certs does the community think should be used to secure traffic from internet based SCCM clients ?  should 3rd party SSL certs be used ?  When doing an inventory for example of the clients configuration in order to run reports
later how the  data be protected during transit ?

From a technical perspective, it doesn't matter where the certs come from as there is no difference whatsoever. A cert is a cert is a cert. The certs are *not* what provide the protection, they simply enable the use of SSL to protect the data in transit
and also provide an authentication mechanism.
From a logistics and cost perspective though, there is a huge difference. You may not be aware, but *every* client in IBCM requires its own unique client authentication certificate. This will get very expensive very quickly and is a recurring cost because
certs expire (most commercial cert vendors rarely offer certs valid for more than 3 years). Also, deploying certs from a 3rd party is not a trivial endeavor -- you more less run into chicken and egg issues here. With an internal Microsoft PKI, if designed
properly, there is zero recurring cost and deployment to internal systems is trivial. There is still certainly some cost and overhead involved, but it is dwarfed by that that comes with using with a third party CA for IBCM certs.

  • T-code based iviews in HTML format

    Hi,
Please do let me know how to dispaly the t-code based iviews in HTML format through portal.Actually we need to dispaly some ABAP reports through portal in SRM.Should the reports be first converted to HTML format.
Also,we need to create the PO field as hyperlink which should take the supplier to a particulatr PO as and when he clicks on it.Can this(hyperlink)  be done in portal.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Manu

    Hi Manu,
In order to display the iviews in HTML format you need to enable the ITS services from your SAP System first of all.
You can do so by following these steps:
    Step 1.
1.Configure the Rz10 profile parameters for the host name and the port no.
2.Check that parameters appearing in the SE80 settings and ITS Server settings.
After activating ITS Services these steps more needs to be done to make them usable.
    1. Go to SE80-Edit ITS Service SYSTEM-> Publish it completely.
    2. Go to SE80-Edit ITS Service SHUFFLER-> Publish it completely.
    3. Go to SE80-Edit ITS Service WEBGUI-> Publish it completely.
    4. Go to SE38-Run the Program W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES and publish all the webservices.
From transaction SICF now you need to enable the services.
1.Go to sap/bc/gui activate the complete node.
2.Go to sap/bc/icf activate the complete node.
3.Go to sap/bc/ping activate the complete node.
4.Go to sap/public/bc activate the complete node.
Now give the ITS parameters in the system you created and create a SAP Transaction Iview. inside its property editor choose the option SAPGUI for HTML.
Hope I am able to answer your question.

  • Change the default country code for new contacts in Outlook 2013 for countries not listed in Control Panel Region Format

    Dear all,
I would like to change the default country code for new Outlook 2013 contacts. My country is Mozambique (+258) and is not listed under Control Panel> Region> Formats> Format:
Is there any place (registry maybe, anywhere) where I can manipulate the existing formats or manually add a new format to the List ??? - for example Portuguese (Mozambique).
    I am using Windows 8.1
I have tried changing the country on the phone and modem options and nothing changes. Also changing the Home Location on Region> Location to Mozambique didn't change a thing. The only place where I change something and produces results is the
    Format List.
Any ideias???? If not, is there a place where I can ask Microsoft to include Portuguese (Mozambique) on future windows updates???
    Kind regards,
    Osvaldo

    Hi,
Windows uses the information set under
'Phone and Modem'  in the Control Panel to determine the default area code.
You can change the country/region to
    Mozambique
and set your area code here:

There never has been a Cambodia region format for iPhones.  It had to have been set for something else.  Try other available formats such as Vietnam or Laos.

I've tried to install a java-based irc-client, but all I get is a webpage thanking for downloading. Something is updated for a while, but no application nor any new files seem to have been stored into the handheld nor mem-card.
Is there a way to installa programs straight from the web other than Ovi-service. I dod not find any links nor feature to browse outside the OVI-store selection. Ovi however loaded with the installer in my phone, XpressMusic 5310.

  • How to configuration of pricing procedure based on the Region

    Hi,
please help me how to configuration of pricing procedure based on the Region in the roll out project.
    Thanks
    mustafa

What I proposed to do was,
    a. Create routes like 0 day route, 1 Day route, 2 day route etc.
    b. Route determination is based on the Shipping condition of the customer. Put in the shipping condition for the customer as 00 - immediate delivery. 01 - By Truck, 02 - By Rail, 03 - Ship etc
    c. Now, put in your route determination in such a way that routes change in the sales order with shipping condition (SC). Like, if the shipping condition is set to 00, then 0 day route comes up. Meaning immediate delivery, if SC is 01, then your normal route by truck picks up. etc.
When the sales order is manually created, you know the time of creation. As route is one of the criteria, the material confirmation happens based on number of days you put in the route to reach the destination. Now that you have the material available for today's delivery, the delivery program can be run to create it, or it can be manually created.
Now, when you configure the route you have to specify 'Transit duration in calendar days'.
When you have the sales order created electronically (say thru EDI), then, you may have to ask them to send in shipping condition. Else, you have to modify the function module Idoc_input_orders in such a way that if the sales order creation time is < 12 PM, then put shipping condition as 00, else copy what ever is there in the customer.
If you do not want to check the time manually when the user creates the sales order, then you may have to use the user exit MV45AFZZ (and I think you can use Save_order_prepare) to check the time and change the shipping condition. By this you will avoid extra coding in Idoc_input_orders and also need not bother if the user changed the route or not.
    Hope my explanation helps.

    Mukund S

    Dear Experts,
I have read the Documentation of Permanent Regional Formatting, Save for all users, Remove Document Security in Document Properties.
Can anyone explain me in simple way all the above three. (More on Permanent Regional Formatting with example).

There's no unmanaged Web Intelligence functionality support via .NET as far as I know.
You might want to open a support case with SAP to get confirmation.
