Is Verizon currently IP blocking japan?

Is Verizon currently IP blocking certain severs in japan? and if so is there a way to get them to let my connection get through?

well ive been trying to access some sites that wont load up anymore ive heard that some places in japan and in the US were having DDOS attacks and people theorized this caused some places to be blocked.

  • To get current data block name

    Hi;
I have 2 data blocks on my form and I want to get current data block name on my form. How can I do this???
    Thank you

Like Rosario said, use the :SYSTEM.CURSOR_BLOCK.
you can also use :SYSTEM.TRIGGER_BLOCK in triggers to find which block was responsible of the firing event of a trigger.
Do not use :SYSTEM.CURRENT_% variables in Forms 9i and above, those are only there for compatibility reasons.
You can also check the online help for more details on :SYSTEM.% system variables.

  • OSD - 8007000F " Failed to save current environment block"

    Hello,
I have an issue with one of my Task Sequence OSD loads. I am using SCCM 2012 with a CAS trying to load a standalone drive.
The issue that i am having is it fails at the "Formatting C:\"
    The logs are posted below.
I have tried to follow this: http://cmsource.net/2014/01/21/another-80070057-fail-apply-operating-system-image-step-in-sccm-2012/  But to no avail. I have tried using Diskpart, running clean cmd, and rebooting. That doesn't seem to help.

Sounds like your disk and/or disk controller isn't recognized during WinPE phase. Just download drivers needed from Lenovo, and put them in your boot image. Most off time only NIC and disk controller drivers are needed there. Hope it helps!
Just have a look to my blog for importing Lenovo drivers in SCCM easily:

  • Google Play Nexus 6 on Verizon Network C-Block Rules Violation

    Verizon,
I have tired for some time to figure out how to activate my Google Play bought Nexus 6 on your network in accordance to C-Block rules. As No rep is able to point me to clearly defined and published procedures and rights I can only assume your in violation of "47 CFR 27.16 - NETWORK ACCESS REQUIREMENTS FOR BLOCK C IN THE 746-757 AND 776-787 MHZ BANDS."
I request that my Nexus 6 be properly activated on your Network, and that I be provided with a Link to the "clear and reasonable procedures" that the FCC requires of you to publish for how to activate a device on your network along with all of my rights to request attachment to your network.
47 CFR States that if your operating in 746-757 and 776-787 MHz bands that
    1) Licensees offering service on spectrum subject to this section shall not deny, limit, or restrict the ability of their customers to use the devices and applications of their choice on the licensee's C Block network
    2)
    (1) Licensees shall establish and publish clear and reasonable procedures for parties to seek approval to use devices or applications on the licensees' networks. A licensee must also provide to potential customers notice of the customers' rights to request the attachment of a device or application to the licensee's network, and notice of the licensee's process for customers to make such requests, including the relevant network criteria.
    (2) If a licensee determines that a request for access would violate its technical standards or regulatory requirements, the licensee shall expeditiously provide a written response to the requester specifying the basis for denying access and providing an opportunity for the requester to modify its request to satisfy the licensee's concerns.

I disagree... I am being discriminated against and charged and extra $25 a month by bringing my own device.
So as they are also not able to activate my device without faking a sim card - IE I cannot make a new account with my GP N6, and they are charging me over. This is clearly a violation.
Discrimination of this nature is prohibited by the 700 MHz Order open platforms provisions (22 FCC Rcd, Pages 15358–15374), specifically Paragraph 222:
In that regard, we emphasize that C Block licensees may not impose any additional discriminatory charges (one-time or recurring) or conditions on customers who seek to use devices or applications outside of those provided by the licensee.

  • Working with Verizon to get blocks wired for fios, only to be ignored!

I own an audio video home automation company for 12 years now. Since fios came out I have been recommending it. I have 2 square blocks in Brooklyn,NY with no cablevision and no fios, my customers have to deal with DSL and Direct TV, two of the biggest nightmares for a installation company.
For almost two years now I have been walking around with Verizon engineers, sales reps, wiring contractors for Verizon,I've even had the home owners sign off on the necessary paperwork to install fios in the back yards for fios. I did all the leg work. All for my customers.
The people I've been in touch with will no longer return my calls, its really not very nice. So I had decided that if this post doesn't get a Verizon big wigs attention I will personally walk cablevision through the process and block Verizon from getting onto the property that has the entrance to the 1st pole on the block and the manhole for the underground conduits that hit the 1st pole since it sit on my customers property, and they'll listen to me because they are **bleep** off with the promises that were made to them by Verizon.
1st snag in the install was the strike, then the 2nd was hurricane sandy which are over a year apart.
Don't know what else to do besides telling my customers to avoid fios. Even though its a great service.
I don't know what the next step is.

The point is I SHOULDN'T have to purchase a $30 unlimited data plan. I have ZERO interest in using Verizon's data. That's why I have a phone with wi-fi. As I said the only reason I upgraded to a smart phone was because Verizon made a $15 plan available. If I knew if was only going to be for 3 months I wouldn't have bothered.
and if you accidently use it and get charged you will come complain about that.
    read some old posts.
Each to his/her own etc, but I have never understood the attraction of using smartphones only on wifi.
Smartphones are fun/great/choose-your-own-adjective, but for a number of tasks they are much less capable than a laptop.  So, where I am sure of wifi, especially at home or work, I would prefer to use a laptop/tablet  Smartphones come into their own, in my opinion, where you can use  them when you wouldn't have a computer.  I love using my phone on CDMA and GSM data when out, but the only time I would use it on wifi at home for instance is when updating the apps or something like that.

  • My verizon and a blocked number for a device on your account question

hello.  i hope someone can answer this for me.  i have a number blocked for one of the devices on my account.  i know if they text it wont go thru...and if they try and call they will get a recorded message saying it has been restricted but my question is even though that number is blocked...will it still show up in the call logs and message logs as that person trying to call and text.  like will the number still show up or will it show up no where as trying to call or text.  thank you all in advance

Blocked numbers are just that blocked. Since no physical connection was made to you via Verizon's call/text blocking service it will not be on your call logs.
    Only completed calls/texts appear
    Good Luck

  • US Verizon iPhone 4 - visiting Japan help needed to avoid roaming

    hi
I've got an original Verizon iPhone 4 running iOS 5 and will be going to Japan. I want to avoid roaming charges but I would like to be able to use my apps on wifi.
After talking to Verizon, it sounds like if I break down and update to iOS 7, then I can put my phone on "Do not Disturb" and I won't get calls or texts, but can use wifi.
Does this sound right? Or should I just plan to turn my phone off before leaving the US and turn it back on only upon my return?
    Thanks

No you CAN'T use that AT&T sim card for a Verizon phone.
You have a Verizon iPhone 4, which is a CDMA phone only and does NOT come with a sim card tray.  It was the Verizon iPhone 4s and above that came with the sim card tray to be used for international travel only.  There is nowhere for you put a sim card in a Verizon iPhone 4, so you can't do that.
If you want to be able to do that and use local sim cards, then you will have to buy a new Verizon phone such as an iPhone 5s that comes with a sim card tray that is unlocked for international use, but you CANNOT use it in a Verizon iPhone 4 because there is no sim card tray.

  • I'm currently living in Japan. Is there any difference between the US iPad(wifi) and a Japanese iPad(wifi)? Or should I wait till I visit the States to pick one up?

I'm thinking of buying a new iPad3 but I'm currently living in the Japan. Is there any difference between the US and the Japanese iPad (wifi version)? If so, what are the differences?
    Thanks,

Hi, I just watched the video for the Microcell and you have to use your broadband connection to get it to work and the problem is my broadband connection is down the times I'm using my 3G. That's why I use it, because my broadband connection is not working so much of the time.
    Any other suggestions? :-)

  • Verizon - please stop blocking Google Wallet

VZ - I want to use Google Wallet tap and pay on my new Samsung Galaxy Note 3.  When will Verizon stop blocking this feature?  I do not want to use ISIS and as a consumer I should have that choice.

Um well I've got a brand new Moto X ( unrooted, regular edition, straight from VZW ) and I just installed the latest version of the Wallet app ( from a Nexus 5 that I found online ) and boom Google Wallet in all it's glory. This is due to the security system that kitkat uses and makes Wallet available to everyone. So I guess get a device on 4.4 and get Wallet

You are using WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger to validate records????
If you want the records that are "sealed" to be excluded from your query, you can set the block's either DEFAULT_WHERE or ONETIME_WHERE clause programatically using SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY.
Explain your requirements more clearly so we can help you.

  • KNOX on Verizon Note 3 blocked???

Samsung announced that ALL new devices starting with Note 3 would be preloaded with KNOX.  Called Samsung customer service because my phone did not have it.  I was told that KNOX was preloaded on ALL new devices EXCEPT Verizon!!!
Verizon customer service doesn't have a clue, or at least the person I spoke with didn't.  Anybody have any luck getting answers?

That's not the only thing that Verizon omitted from the GN3. Earlier videos showed people using hand and eye gestures while surfing. Can't do that with the Verizon GN3. However, I still think this is one monster of a tool. There are lots more to love about this phone than not love.

  • Firefox 34.0.5 says Adobe Flash plugin is blocked, but update check reports my Flash plugin (ver. 16.0.0.235) is current. How to fix???

About 1 month ago, I updated Flash and Firefox to most current versions. Firefox 34.0.5, running on WinXP, SP3, shows Adobe Flash plugin as ver. 16.0.0.235, but this is now being blocked again. No other versions of Flash are evident. When I choose option on Flash screen to check plugins are up to date, Firefox reports Flash plugin is up to date.
This program behaviour is wrong and should be fixed. Checking at Adobe, current Flash is 16.0.0.305.
Who or what is broken here? Is Firefox broken, and not reporting correctly that more current Flash plugin is available?
I do not appear to have previous versions of Flash installed on system. This combo of software was working correctly for a while, and then became broken, without a proper path to allow users to resolve it. If Firefox is rigged to "Block" a plugin, then it *MUST* be configured to easily and **CORRECTLY** allow that plugin to be updated. Using most current software, my clicking on the "Check for updates" feature reports that Adobe Flash is most current version. Arrrrgh!!
I am now back to "diagnose and fix broken Firefox+Flash" exercise, which I just went thru.
Best solution here would be to allow user to easily override the "blocking" mechanism. This would assist users who only use Flash video access on trusted sites.
If there is an obvious solution to this current Flash "BLocking" goofery, please inform. Otherwise, if and when I resolve this, I will post a reply to my own question here, indicating what I did to fix this, as it appears to be affecting other Firefox+Flash users, without a clear solution being posted.

Adobe issued 3 new Flash 16 versions in January alone, then another new one - .305 - in February, ''along with one in early December. Five new versions in 2 months time''. So with updating Flash "about 1 month ago", you are probably 2 or 3 versions behind the latest Flash 16 version.
Note that Adobe has its own internal updater, which by default is set to check for an update ''(only)'' once a month. Adobe does their own updates for their software, Firefox just tells you when your version is on the blocklist due to known security issues with the version you have installed. It is up to you to do a manual update between the monthly update check that Flash does for your installation.
The "solution" is for Adobe to fix their stuff. Like maybe an updater that checks for updates more frequently, and not hide their updater user preferences where users don't know where they are and be able to set it for more a frequent update check cycle. ''[Firefox "checks" every time Firefox is launched, as does Chrome]''. Or fix the code in Flash that leads to it being so exploitable, and not have to do 5 separate security fixes in as little as a 2 month time span. ''Flash went almost 2 years prior to Dec 2014 without Mozilla needing to blocklist it, and when Mozilla did first blocklist it in Dec it was / is a soft-block where the user can still use it by using Allow per Flash presentation.''
My advice is to grab the Extended Support Release - Flash Player 13.0.0.269 from here - https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html - over 3/4 down that page. IMO the best version for WinXP users, as the later versions have features for Vista and later versions of Windows - won't work on WinXP or may cause problems on WinXP.

  • Verizon's WhiteList of email senders won't work unless you know who they are blocking

I have Verizon FIOS with a POP3 email account, which is configured on several PCs and my smartphone. Monday I contacted support by phone about lost incoming emails on all the systems. Four of them were emails that I bcc'ed to myself earlier that day and never received. There was also one that my sister-in-law sent the day before that was never received on any system. The support tech told me that sometimes Verizon decides to block some incoming emails for various reasons. The tech then told me how to "whitelist" the senders that were being blocked. I did whitelist the senders that I knew I has lost emails from. What I don't understand, is how I am supposed to know what important emails I didn't get? If Verizon is going to do this, they should email me a list of the senders they decided to block, so I can review the list and add important ones to my Verizon whitelist.
That said, evidently Verizon doesn't realize that their subscribers depend on email for important communication, and should act more responsibly. If their servers are too busy at a given time, they should queue the messages for future delivery. If messages are dropped because they suspect spam they should allow the subscriber to see what was blocked, and have a chance to retrieve the messages.

Verizon has several different blocking systems in place. The SpamDetector can be set to save spam to your Spam folder for review, but you have to set it to do so (default behavior is to delete the messages). The Blocked Senders list is the same way. These can both be set from within your Email Settings.
Verizon's Black List on the other hand, is a server-level block on the IP/server of the sender. These messages are not allowed into Verizon's email system at all, and the sender will receive a bounceback message directing them to the White List form.

  • Verizon blocking emails with the word Singapore

Really annoying - within the past week, any email I try to send with the word Singapore in the subject, sometimes in the message, is being blocked by the Verizon outgoing mail server as spam. You'd think they would check the number of "to" addresses when trying to control spam. If I am emailing only one or two people, how can it be spam? I keep forwarding the emails to their spam reporting address, but so far no action.
Verizon is also blocking emails coming to me with a .asia  address - they don't even make it into my spam folder on Outlook.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, the spam filter was updated recently.
I would suggest taking a stroll over to http://www.verizon.net/spamfaq and read that.
Also, if you are still having problems with sending an email which you think doesn't deserve to be blocked, which in your case shouldn't, shoot an email to: [email protected] .  This goes to a third-party group who verifies if said email is spam  and can help remove it once they investigate.  They will notify Verizon and that everything checks out and it, in turn, prompts Verizon to flip a switch so your email can get through without a problem.
As far as emails being sent to you being blocked, you could always goto www.verizon.net/whitelist -- there you can request to allow emails to be sent through.
Hopefully those avenues will work out for ya.

  • Is Verizon blocking my website?

I can access my website everywhere except Verizon Wireless.

Any techs available to tell me if my IP or domain is blocked, or help me troubleshoot?
IP info removed as required by the Terms of Service.

This is a customer to customer forum, with a few support folks floating in from time to time...
I work extensively with WordPress, took the liberty and ran a scan of your site and it's not blacklisted on any of the major listings.  It came up on my phone just fine using wifi, but if I turned off the wifi and used my 4G data connection, it timed out and wouldn't load the page.  Is that what you mean by being "blocked" by Verizon?
Unfortunately, I'm just a customer and have no access to the inner workings of Verizon's IP blocking stats (if this is what's happening).  I can't do more than confirm that I can't see the site using my 4G Verizon cellular connection, but I can, on the same device, using wifi.
