Is/was there ever a way to create a printable PDF in Captivate?

I have seen these Cp created online CBTs and in the upper left hand corner is a button that you can click on which says "Printable Version".
This printable version is a PDF w/o the animation produced in Cp. Each slide prints as a separate page.
I am using Cp 6 with the patch.
Also, the PDF is searchable (you can search for key words).
How did/does a person do this?

The PDF that I have seen is just like the Cp project (the size was not distorted and was not done in MS Word.) It was an exact replica of the Cp project just w/o the animation. Each slide from the Cp project was a separate PDF slide (right now Cp outputs a PDF but it is considered one slide and you cannot print it or search it).
Can CutePDF do this?

I got the same result.
I'm trying to create what looks like a single document that viewers can scroll through.
I done quite a bit of checking and it seems that Keynote used to give you the ability to crop the PDF which, if I understand what they are talking about, would make it look like one big document and not a series of slides.
I read about using terminal commands (?) which are way beyond my skill level.
Also, I could buy Adobe Acrobat which, from what I've read, would also work. I'm not fond of making that investment.
Right now, I'm stuck!
I need to create a "long form sales letter" and I'm starting to think that I'm using the wrong program.

When I click on my contacts icon on my phone there is a Groups choice in the upper left hand corner. Make sure you are in All Contacts and not a specific person.

Thank you very much. The last one youve send me looks the most what i have in mind. With some thumbnails and when you click on it you see a larger document.
But it doesnt fit quite in the style of the site. You have an other example for me?

Ugh, do you have taken over the LimitValidator and the JSF example (including the f:validateDoubleRange which is unnecessary in this case) literally without actually reading/interpreting/understanding it? No, then it is indeed not going to work. Basically you just need to define a validator in the one password field and pass the client ID of the another field as attribute along the one password field. In the validator you can retrieve the value of the another field by its client ID and finally just invoke String#equals() on the values of the both fields.

Was there ever a resolution to the thermal paste issue? Worth reapplying?

Last time I checked these forums was a month ago and people were debating whether there was any concrete benefit to popping open the MBP and reapplying thermal grease. For each guy that said it helped, another said it did nothing. Was there ever a consensus or official resolution to this debate?

Save your money. Besides if you take the computer to an authorized Apple repair center they will not do the work unless you have an authorization from Apple Customer Service. They will not authorize the work unless there is something specifically malfunctioning. If you really want the thermal paste re-applied you will have to do it yourself. This requires a complete disassembly of the computer and some special drivers.
If you read the article I referenced you will note that there is little point to replacing the paste.
You can download and install an extension called Speedit.kext along with a companion program called CoreDuoTemp (www.versiontracker.com, www.macupdate.com, or www.increw.org) and use it to monitor the CPU's core temperature. Unless it's running hotter than "normal" there's really nothing to worry about. Normal temps typically range between 50-75 C under loads varying from 2-30 percent or more.

I'm a little bit confused about the right way to create unique objects ids, a way not depend on a database.
There seems to be several approaches to do this:
1.The class java.rmi.dcg.VMID states: 'A VMID is a identifier that is unique across all Java virtual machines.
It generate a uuid which can be convertet to a String.
2.The class net.jini.id.Uuid states: 'A 128-bit value to serve as a universally unique identifier. Two Uuids are equal if they have the same 128-bit value. Uuid instances can be created using the static methods of the UuidFactory class.
3.The W3C org seems to have a guid generation.
4.If you search the internet you will find several other implementations, like www.doomdark.org/doomdark/proj/jug/

Generating a true UUID is by nature plaform dependent, and should IMHO be implemented by the JRE/language libraries. Native code that is not a part of the JRE is always a problem, especially in J2EE environment. In addition, true uuids are useful in very many programming situations. Also, the random based versions are pretty dangerous, and can cause pretty nasty problems.

A slightly quicker way to do what you described for an images is to select 'Duplicate version' instead of 'New version from Master' and then 'Remove adjustments' from version 1. This will leave you with the first version as the 'before' and the second version as the 'after' without having to use L&S.
If you need to do this for 108 images, it might be quicker to do the following:
Export Masters for all 108 images.
Reimport these into a new project (called 'before', for example)
You will then have a new project with the 'before' images and your original project with the 'after' images. You could then build an album to group all of these together. When you've finished with the 'before' & 'after' images (build your web gallery or emailed them or whatever), simply delete the 'before' project.

Is there an easy way to create 2 page imposed PDFs with a background?

I have figured out a way to create a suitable imposed single page PDF using the 'import as layer' action, the action only understands a single paged background PDF.
In other words, I have a PDF that has the suitable marks on it with the pages marked 'Page 1' & 'Page 2'. This is the background PDF.
I open this PDF in Acrobat and run the action that places another PDF (the 'Source' PDF) on multiple layers with different offsets.
The original (template) PDF is 2 pages & the Source PDF for imposition is 2 pages, and even though the 'import as layer' understands that the source PDF being imposed is 2 pages, it does not seem to allow the original (template) PDF to be seen as 2 pages.
There is a 'Target page number' option in the Preview area, but that is grayed out at 1.
So...other than commercial applications, is there an easy way to build a 2 page PDF imposition file??

Yes, the Quite software would be perfect, especially the 'Hot'. Tested & works great for us, but the price tag for the 'Hot' is rather steep for our relatively simple process......background template with a 'step & repeat' of the 'live' document.
As I mentioned in the original post, to do this with a single page PDF is simple enough using an action that places the 'live' doc multiple times, but the vast majority of our publications are 2 pages.
Currently runing the action twice for each job. I would save a bit of time if this could be automated to do both sides with one action, or one script.
