  • NI-DAQmx support for labview could not be found

Hi, I am pretty new to LabView. I was using VC++ to programming for my USB-6215. Just curious how LabView works, so I try to follow the "Introduction to Taking an NI-DAQmx measurement in LabView" and configure my USB-6215 in LabView. However, when I try to gererate codes for the DAQmx task name control, an error message pop up as "Error:NI-DAQmx support for labview could not be found. Please reinstall NI-DAQmx".  I did reinstall NI-DAQmx, but it doesn't help. This error occurs anyway. Any idea how it happens and the solution is highly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Install datasocket support for labview 8.6

    Hi,
Can I get a link to download a Datasocket Support for Labview 8.6 or higher?
    Thanks

Installing the Latest Version of DataSocket and DataSocket Server
    Problem:
I would like to download and install the current version of National Instruments DataSocket and/or DataSocket Server on my computer. Where can I find the latest version of this to download it from National Instruments' website?
    Solution:
The latest release of the DataSocket libraries and the DataSocket Server is installed with the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. Go to the Drivers and Updates web page at ni.com and search for "LabVIEW Run-Time Engine" and sort by Version to find the most recent version of the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine.

  • NI-DNET support for LabVIEW 2013

We are using currently NI-DNET 1.6.6 with LabVIEW 2011. I installed now also LabVIEW 2013 on my computer and tried to sync the set of drivers with my LabVIEW 2011 installation.
Well, it seems that NI-DNET doesn't support LabVIEW 2013, at least officially. The NI-DNET and LabVIEW Version Compatibility shows that NI-DNET 1.6.6 supports LabVIEW 2011 and NI-DNET 1.6.7 supports LabVIEW 2012.
The NI System Driver Set November 2013 list NI-DNET 1.6.7 as part of the driver set. When I try to install it, there is no LabVIEW 2013 support.
My question is actually, if there is a plan to include NI-DNET support for LabVIEW 2013 or later in the driver set?
I copied the vi.lib\DeviceNet and vi.lib\nidnet directories from LabVIEW 2011 to 2013 and I can load my programs without any problems. I still didn't build an executable and didn't run them on the test fixture, but the projects can be loaded in LabVIEW 2013 without any brocken VIs. Should I expect any problems running LabVIEW 2013 with the NI-DNET 1.6.6 or 1.6.7 driver?
    Nick
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I would update our drivers right away, but unfortunately the NI-Industrial Communications for DeviceNet doesn't support the PCI-DNET cards. We have probably close to 30 of those in the test fixtures. So, we need to use the NI-DNET 1.6.x driver anyway.
It will be nice if the NI-DNET installer can copy the NI-DNET VIs and supporting files to any LabVIEW version, well maybe any 201x. I hope until 2020 we can replace the old cards :-)

  • DAQmx support for Labview 8.0

I am having a problem with the current DAQmx Drivers,
The system used to run perfectly when using labview 8.0, however, after the installation of labview 2009
The DAQ library in the labview 8.0 folder is missing.
I tried to install the older version of the DAQmx (Legacy) but i still can't get the library back in labview 8.0 folder.
Would it possible to get those files ?
    Thanks,

    Hello again,
I tried to uninstall everything related to labview on the computer using msiblast, but still having the same problem, even after removing every labview newer than 8.0 files.
When I try to install DAQmx 8.6 it says a newer version is available.
I deleted the registry stuff to.
I had to keep labview 8.0 because it is the version i want to use plus i don't have the CD to install it, so i kept it and it's support files.
Can anyone send me the DAQmx library for labview 8.0?
Makesure it is the Vi files not the installation setup because that one will give me the same problem, " Newer Version is installed" problem.
Don't refer me to any extra links about installing, cuz honestly i have seen them all....
    Thanks,

  • Windows 10 support for HP Envy 15-3040nr?

    Hi,
I have an HP Envy 15-3040nr that is currently running on Windows 7 x64. I was wondering if this computer would be receiving future driver support for Windows 10 when it releases, and whether or not it supports the Technical Preview that is currently avilable to developers under Microsoft's prerelease program. I currently do not have UEFI enabled (which I know is available for my notebook).
This questions arises from the fact that I have read on this forum that multiple owners of the Envy 15 were not able to get drivers working on Windows 8.1, for which HP hasn't formally released drivers for. Will HP make me use Windows 8 drivers on Windows 10?
    Thanks,
    -VivXGamer

  • Is AIX7.1 and MS Windows 2012 supported for JavaCAPS5.1.3 R4 and JavaCAPS 6.3?

    Does AIX 7.1 and MS-WIndows 2012(and cluster) supported for JavaCAPS5.1.3 R4 or JavaCAPS 6.3?

John provides another possible workaround for your issues :
    http://www.metavero.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=44:making-ie8-work-on-hyperion-11x&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=50
My situation is slightly different. We are upgrading to most recent version of Hyperion in 2012 and are not looking to apply service packs/updates to 9.3.1 in the mean time; however, we needed IE 8. We performed the javascript fixes and our users are able to perform their work just fine.
I would also agree that XP mode is not that answer.
Another option would be to install IETester as it lets you 'convert' your IE browser to be compatible with previous versions.... http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePage
Finally, you could have users use Firefox browser as that seems to work; however, it does SOME things differently than IE so you might get some complaints about that.

  • Windows 2000 requirements for LabVIEW 8.5.1 & DAQmx 8.7.1

    Greetings,
I've been looking around for a detailed set of requirements for LabVIEW 8.5.1 and DAQmx 8.7.1 for the Windows 2000 platform.
So far I know I'll need Service Pack 4 and probably Explorer 6 and .Net 2   But I can't find confirmation on the last two things, and I'm not sure if there are any more.
Does anyone have a link to this information on  ni.com?
    Thanks.
    Patrick Allen

    Thanks for the reply Denis,
I'd found both of those previously actually.  But I wasn't sure they were "complete".
I can't say 100%,  But I'm pretty sure I had to install .Net 2 on a system once before for DAQmx.  (Or maybe there was a warning...or something)
Just thought I'd try and find out as much as I could before I go and do a remote upgrade where I won't have any Internet access.

  • Usrp driver 1.3 do not support for Labview 2013 64 bit ??

    Hello, dear all
Is anyone install the latest USRP driver 1.3 for LV 2013 64 bit ?  I found there is no version for 64 bit LV 2013.

Currently the 1.3 driver supports only LabVIEW 2013 32 bit (even on 64 bit computers.)
The LabVIEW 2014 version will support 64 bit and will be available to download very soon.

  • DAQmx support for LabVIEW 2010

FYI to those downloading LabVIEW 2010 from NI web site:
After Installing LabVIEW 2010 (download from web site), I noticed that there is no support for DAQmx (i.e.. VI libraries) in NI_DeviceDrivers-February2010 DVD (my latest copy).  Your have to download and install DAQmx 9.2 drivers (the first to include LabVIEW 2010 support).
Additionally, If you were using Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.4.4 VIs in a prior version of LabVIEW, you must do one of the following:
          1. Uninstall current Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) 7.4.4 installation and re-install after completing LabVIEW 2010 installation.
Reason: Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) installs support only for the latest version of LabVIEW found on the system.
    Or
          2. Copy the the "<previous LabVIEW>\vi.lib\Daq" directory and all it contents to a new "<LabVIEW 2010\vi.lib\Daq directory.  This way you can use Traditional NI-DAQ in both versions of LabVIEW.

I didn't have DVDs, I had to download.
Yes it was a mess.  The device driver download took forever (NI can't help that).  The installation took beyond forever (what else can be done?).
I was disappointed that I had to do all of this backing up of legacy folders and restoring them after installing the device drivers.  Why does NI always have device drivers and toolkits install to the latest version of Labview only?  Why couldn't they leave the legacy stuff alone??  I still use LV2009 and wanted to try LV2010.  This involved a whole lot of trouble and time.
NI needs to provide a much easier way to upgrade, while still allowing previous versions to work without modification.  Most people who upgrade will not completely abandon the older versions.

  • NO WINDOWS 10 SUPPORT FOR ASPIRE V3-471G

How come my Aspire V3-471G is not listed for Windows 10 support? A lesser model V3-371(I3 processor) is supported while mine with i5 and Nvidia graphics is not supported I have joined the Windows Insider and installed windows 10 without any problems. For any required drivers as seen on the Device Manager, I used windows 8 drivers which were available from support site.

I tried installing windows 10 also on my laptop. my laptop is also v3-471g. though it was successful, but my laptop fan has gone crazy... going back to win 7... are there any issues  using win10 on v3-471g?

  • Windows 10 support for g580 ?

    Hello Lenovo,
When do you release drivers for windows 10 on my g580 notebook. I checked everyday and i'm still waiting. I do not mind to wait, but I already installed windows 10 and I found just an issue, wifi stay connect for a short time and then it shows the message "limited" and I have no internet access and I must use the LAN cable every day. It's not a big deal to use the LAN cable, but i'm impatient to solve this problem.
AND more important. Do I ever get support for my laptop? Or it's an old model and I must stay on windows 7..

Its not Lenovos duty to do so, its Intels. And they won´t release Windows 10 drivers for the Tx20 series, so Lenovo won´t either. You can still install Windows 10 though. Works perfect on the T420 we have here.

    • Intel 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processors (Sandy Bridge) Is this the final state or is Lenovo working for Windows 10 drivers for older devices? Thanks in advance,backi03

  • Windows 8 support for iTunes 11

I have seen a bit of concern around iTunes support under Windows 8.
I have updated everything ready to upgrade a Win7 Professional PC to Win8 Pro
I have updated iTunes to 11.0.2 64 bit.
My question is....does the current version of iTunes (i.e. 11.0.2 64 bit) support Windows 8?
I am not doing a clean install of Windows 8, it is not practical at all...upgrade is the only reasonable approach.
I need iTunes for iPad & iPhone so it needs to work under Windows 8 before I upgrade
So would be interested in knowing whether latest version of iTunes does really support Windows 8.
It is a absolute show stopper for upgrading to Windows 8!

Had the same issue on Windows 8.1(x64)  8(x64) 7(x64) and Vista(x86) with the latest iTunes. Removing and Reinstalling all Apple applications did not solve it. After installation and starting iTunes i would just get the end user agreement and then nothing but iTunes.exe process is running as background process without the GUI being displayed. I did notice that after an hour or 2 iTunes would then be open but would immediately freeze when connecting my iPad.
Changed the properties of running iTunes.exe as admin in Win7 compatibilty mode.
So launch iTunes and wait till it eventually opens, do not connect your iOS device right away, but sign in with your Apple ID first.
Open preferences (iTunes seemed to freeze again but preferences window popped up after a couple minutes)
    Unchecked the automatic sync.
After doing that I have been able to connect my iPad which I had already upgraded to iOS7 over the air. Which was risky as I do not have a MAC and iTunes is the only way to perform a restore if the upgrade would have failed.
But still 11.1 seems to be very unstable on Windows, I can imagine that Apple will focus on sorting the bugs in iOS7 for their own devices first but hope they will investigate the issue and come up with a solution later on, as I do think a substantial amount of iTunes for Windows users buy their Music through iTunes and it would not be wise of Apple to leave them in the dark.
