If your Google Mail or Calendar is not working, you may want to check here first to see if it's an outage at Google instead of a problem with your iPhone.

You can "try" making an appointment at a UK Apple store, but don't be surprised if they tell you you'll have to return the phone to the US for service.
iPhone does not have an International warranty or service, & generally must be serviced in country of original purchase. And no, you can't mail the phone to Apple. You'll have to physically deliver it to an Apple store in the US.

Why does gmail not work in HTML anymore as it did someweeks before?

Until several weeks ago GMAIL worked fine in HTML. Then, after a Firefox version change it worked only in the low res version. This has happened before after a version change but remedied itself after the next version change.
This time it is still not working in HTML even after several version changes!!
What can be the reason(s) for that?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Also make sure that you aren't blocking cookies for the Gmail (Google) site.

GMAIL not working today

My GMAIL stopped working - last update 2/19/11 around 7PM EST. Today it says user name or password incorrect I've checked both and they are correct. Any ideas? Worked fine yesterday.

Started working again all by itself... Wish I knew what happened - kind of bothers me that it could just cut out like that. I did have wireless network connectivity and everything else seemed to work fine.

'Your Watches' Not Working

The 'Your Watches' feature is currently not working. It seems to break every day that I use OTN. Could this be fixed please? Please don't suggest this is due to 'transient network conditions', etc. - it's a problem with OTN.

Gmail not working on Ipad/Iphone but works on Mac

I am having problems with a gmail
on my Ipad and Iphone when i try to send an email I get the following error
"Cannot send mail ,the user name or password for gmail is incorrect"
I have checked and the username and password are correct
The strange part is it works fine on my Mac

Mail and Gmail not working?

Hi everyone,
For some reason starting today I can't download any new mail from my Gmail account to Mail. I have double checked that my settings are correct. Is it possible that it is something on Google's end (like pop.gmail.com is down)? Also, I am still able to login to Gmail via web-based and check my email perfectly. I also have an IMAP email account in Mail for my college's email and it works fine.
Is there something wonky with Mail or Google?

Repairing permissions should be a first in all troubleshooting. You would not believe the things that can fix... so many I can't/nor will try to list... easier to list what it wont fix... which I cant think of except HW issues.
So I ask again, did you repair permissions?
How are you connected to the internet? (dialup/broadband/work... give names)
Anything change updates/installs? (list anything within a week of the problem presenting itself)
I may know your answer but wont know until you give me more information if it fits or applies to your particular situation.

Slow web browsing on some sites / Gmail not working at all!!

Hi, I re-installed OSX on my Intel Mac Mini this week and ever since i cannot get gmail to open at all and some sites are running very slow (including this one i am on right now). But yet my windows laptop (i am using now as i have not got much patience) works fine and gets gmail no problem. The laptop is connected to the same router as my mac.
I am fully updated with OSX, i use Firefox as my primary browser but have also tested in Safari with the same results. I cannot figure it out at all - anyone have any ideas?

Cheers for your help but no joy, put the DNS in as above and nothing changed. I did however try to connect my mac via Airport and that works fine!! weird, so the issue only affects browsing when connected to my cisco router via ethernet! need to do some digging, cheers for replying anyway.

Problem with gmail not working with apple mail..

Hi,
i'm trying to set up a gmail account to the apple mail program on mac (still works in iphone and ipad). after many diffrent approaches,
i think i have all the right setnings. But i still cant connect to the google IMAP, both with or without SSL.
i guess perhaps that the problem could be within the google settings.
does anyone have another solution i could try?

it dosn't work.. have tried that at least 5 times..

Problems with Firefox 7.0.1 , gmail and MacOSX 10.6.8---gmail not working-can't select, open and read mail!!! help---anyone?

I can select and delete, but not open and read...
things are working mighty slow since installing 7.0.1 Firefox upgrade....and losing access to reading gmail is just the last straw.
Also having issues with non-responsive script messages in same gmail window, huge time lags, some flash plug in error messages (yes three times I have downloaded and reinstalled the latest flash player)....hating 7.0.1 right now mightily....

IMAP Gmail not working properly after update ?

I have setup my Gmail account using IMAP on my Mac.
I also have Gmail setup on my iphone, again as IMAP.
When I read the emails on my iphone, it is synced with my gmail account, as I see it change on the web.
However, my Apple Mail still shows it as unread, and does until I read it.
This has only happened since I updated to 10.5.6
Has anyone else any similar issues ?

Working from home today. Mac Mail, Gmail, and Mail on iPod touch. Only Mail on my Mac doesn't get the word on "read" messages.
I stand corrected and please forgive me.
Rebuild did this for me, as suggested. Of course, something is broken and one should not have to Rebuild. (It strikes me that it is better/easier just to reread the darn things if, as in my case, we're talking about just a few messages.)

Gmail not working now in Mail - OS X 10.8.2

I Use OS X 10.8.2 and can not receive or send email from 2 different Gmail accounts set up via Mail. Both account were working fine yesterday and my other non Gmail accounts are working fine. Any thoughts or remedies or is this a Gmail issue or an issue with OS X Lion? I can access the Gmail accountss fine via webmail or through Chrome Browser online or via my iOS devices

Gmail not working right since Mavericks install, even after 10.9.1 upgrade

I use Apple mail. Comcast, which is POP, is my internet provider. In order to use IMAP capability I forward my email to my Gmail acct. All worked flawlessly until Mavericks came along. Even after the 10.9.1 upgrade
Here are my issues:
(1) draft emails are copied every minute so I get multiple drafts like this:
Hello
Hello John
Hello John, how
Hello John, how are you?
(2) If I send myself an email to test how my email is working if I delete the received email from the inbox it deletes itself from the sent box. If I delete the email from the sent box it deletes the email in the inbox.....
(3) and nothing is being saved on the Gmail server although my settings indicated "never" remove the email.
Any thoughts? It's drviing me crazy & I'm afraid I'm going to lose valuable emails....

I decided to test Mavericks Mail with a new Gmail account today to see what the new default settings in Mail works with Gmail. It seems that all the workarounds we used prior to Mavericks are no longer needed. No root folder required. No prefix [Gmail]/ for folders.
I no longer had to use "Use this folder for Drafts, Sent, Junk, Trash". When I delete a message it actually goes to Trash not to All Mail. Yipeee!
Be sure to select All Mail folder.

Gmail Not Working with Mac Mail

Just this afternoon my 2 gmail accounts stopoped pushing mail to my Mac Mail (7.0). I can send mail from my Mac, my iPhone sends/receives on both accounts, as does my gmail when used with any browser. There has been no change in any settings that would cause any issues, so out of the blue I just don't receive emails on my Mac. I read some threads about appliction specific passwords but that seems unlikely as a cause since it just stopped working today, and as far as I can tell there was no change in my computer or google that would necessitate such a change on my end.

Just to upodate, out of the blue one of the accounts started receiving mail - the other still does not. I'm not sure if this is a google issue or more likely a Maverick issue, as some other odd behavior has occured with mail since upgrading the OS a week ago.

[solved] mutt, msmtp & gmail not working, TLS certificate veri. failed

Today I can't send emails again, ending up with this message:
msmtp: TLS certificate verification failed: the certificate hasn't got a known issuer
msmtp: could not send mail
I got this issue a week ago, then I downloaded the ca-certificates package and changed everything according to http://mychael.gotdns.com/blog/2007/04/ … archlinux/ the it worked again, but today it's back
Anyone with the same issue or working config?

Ok I see, there is a comment on that external page. Well, that will do for now.
However, what I would like to see eventually is a small wiki page dedicated to msmtp, with all required information on it, so that we don't need to look at other blog post. And then replace the msmtp section on mutt page by a simple link to that new msmtp page.
There is no reason to tie msmtp with mutt.
As I expected, I eventually ran into this problem and had to fix it, which reminded me of this thread.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
