Not nessesarily insiders browsing outside, but what about downloads. ie) patches, demo's, drivers, video chats, streaming, offsite backups, people accessing our website, email transfers, ftp, vpn's, etc...
We are also looking at bringing up another office, but they are in a protected area in terms of what telco's service, so I don't think we can get a fiber point to point like we have for other offices in Verizon territory. So we may bump up our speed and tack that branch office on via VPN over the internet... but that terminates at the ASA not the ironport.
The cost of bandwidth has come down drasticly and for us to go from 3 T1's at 4.5 Mbps to a more reliable fiber connection at 50mbps with 1 T1 as a backup with BGP on our ip block, it's really a no brainer.
Just the thing is we can bump up to 10mbps sync over fiber for about $100 more a month, or we qualify for another transport over fiber that costs $300 more a month but it's 50mbps sync. Adding a new office, doing more with VPN's and also wanting redundancy (not everything over copper), means we are doing it, just at what bandwidth level.

One Internet Connection, Two different LANS & Two DHCP Servers, How to share internet without conflict?

I have two LANs and one internet connection. Each LAN has its own DHCP server. I want to be able to have internet access on BOTH LANs but don't
want to have a DHCP conflict between them.
The main LAN is a Time Warner Cable modem and a Cisco router running DHCP going to a 48 port switch that has all the workstations connected.
The second is a stand alone Windows 2012 WDS server which is ONLY use to image computers via WDS. The server is running DHCP as well and is connected to another 48 port switch where I connect systems that need to be imaged.
I want to be able to provide internet access on LAN with the Windows 2012 WDS server so after I image the computers I can download drivers direct from the internet. The Windows WDS server has two NIC cards but I am only using one. Is
it possible to configure this so the internet from the main LAN is shared to the WDS server and its clients without causing problems with the two DHCP servers? Here is a basic network diagram. Thanks!

To share the internet on secondary VLAN, please follow the steps below:
Connect the secondary switch to Cisco router
Configure the devices on secondary VLAN to use Cisco router as its' gateway
Configure NAT for secondary VLAN on Cisco router
Due to different manufacturer has different ways to configure, for detailed configuration information, please consult the manufacturer of the switch and router.

Fast Lane Reader

Hello,
I'm a bit confused after reading the disadvantages of Fast Lane Reader.
1. Stale Data
A fast-lane reader produces a snapshot of what's in the database. How can the data then be stale considering each fast-lane read accesses the database real time.
2. Concurrency Control
Maybe this is related to 1 as I don't quite understand the concept of concurrency control. Apparently using DAO to access the data circumvents the concurrency control provided by EJB. What does concurrency control do?

Concurrency control:
Assume this case:
Transaction 1 writes a new row in the table A through entity bean.
You using the fast lane reader you are by passing entity bean and accessing the data from table A directly.
[ interestingly if a user tries to access the same data through entity bean, that use will have wait since the transaction is not yet committed. But not for a fast lane reader ].
Transaction 2 start.
Transaction 2 blows up.
The whole transaction ( tran1 and tran2 ) are rolled back.
The fast lane reader has the state data .

I have downloaded GarageBand and when I first clicked to open it started dowloading a content package. But then in the middle of this it told me that my perfectly fast working internet connection was not availeble. See attached screenshot.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
I have tried deleting and downloading againg but same message appears.

iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio. People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.

Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes. Very strange.

What version of iTunes are you using? The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

Somebody suggested clearing the Store cache. I don't know why that would affect the radio. Seems to have not worked for some, worked for a few or maybe they imagined it. Many other posts about this if you browse the forum.
This is happening to some people some of the time in some places, but then not affecting people in other places, or in the same place at different times. You try to guess what is going on. Hasn't happened to me. Maybe it's my iTunes 7.5, or maybe it's luck of the draw since I never use iTunes radio.

No you do not have a virus. That is a standard web popup usually, that tres to get up to download a "removal program". The removal program is the virus or similar.

The flashing WLAN light means activity (data getting transferred). Try disconnecting all your devices and check whether the light is still flashing or disconnect the router from internet and do the check.
Do you have your SSID as linksys or the default one? If your neighbor has the same SSID, then traffic could result from your neighbor's one. Try changing your SSID and password. Make your security WPA/WPA2.

This sounds like a virus or malware program that has made its way onto your computer. I would ensure you have the latest virus definitions on your computer and run a thorough (complete) scan of your system.
