ISA 570W - Application control not functioning
All of a sudden the Application control has ceased to function. I have tried re-booting, resaving settings. I have checked the logs and there are no entries? Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Did you ever fix this problem? I'm having the EXACT same problem. Just updated to Lion from Snow Leopard.
I knew there would be some glitches, since I've had the same user folder since 10.0. Been updating all the way since then. Everyone always says it will break. It never does. I always figure out how to fix it.
Everyone always wants to nuke the site from orbit. Clean install. That sort of nonsense. Bah.
A real Mac user figures out how to fix the problem, and fixes it. Only idiots reinstall from scratch.

Parental Controls not functional on some software
I just bought the iMac and I am attempting to limit my children's access using parental controls. It was easy to limit their account for the bundled software but the additional software I bought at the Apple Store (some game and educational software) don't seem to be compatible with parental controls. For example, when a use the locate feature to add a program to the application list I receive "XYZ program does not work with the limitations you have selected". Without the capability to add the program title to the allowed list my children can't open the program in their account.
I followed the instructions in http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n107672 but I found that the key setting was already in place. Of the software I purchased and have installed - Dora, Adventures in Odyssey, Venture Africa - only Dora seems compatible with Parental Controls. The main difference between Dora and the other titles seems to be that Dora does not need the CD/DVD in the drive to operate.
Does anyone know of a way to use Parental Controls with these 'incompatable' titles? It seem incomprehensible to me I have to open the system security to use some title where others don't require it.This seems to be on the right track. I added the suggested changes to the plist document and that allows me to add the program to the parental control list under the 'Others' category. However, when I click Ok, then reopen Finder and System the program no longer appears in the list.

Titanium Dolby Digital - Windows Volume Controls Not Function
I am extremely happy with the Titanium because it finally elminated the 4GB Snap-Crackle-Pop issues I've been having since I owned this motherboard.
However, I've noticed that when I enabled Dolby Digital encoding over an optical output the master windows volume controls and muting do not affect the audio output at all.
Using the master windows volume controls with the analog or unencoded digital optical outputs work fine. It is only when using Dolby Digital encoding that I see this strange behavior. In-game and application-level volume controls & muting work fine; it is only the master windows volume controls that are 'ignored' when using Dolby Digital.
I'm still happy to see Dolby Digital encoding on this card, and very pleased that I'm using 4GB now without crackling in games or during music, but hopefully this Dolby Digital issue can be fixed.
Have any other users observed this odd Dolby Digital behavior?Unfortunately (for me) the two of you are correct and windows volume controls have no effect in Vista.

So it would seem that this behavior is not only intended, but apparently unchangeable in Vista. In XP there is a utility (Volume Tracker) that can fix this, reportedly. This utility has no effect in Vista. -
Since updating my OS, the mail application is not functioning correctly. Does anyone have a fix?
When I try to file messages into mail folders or delete messages, they reappear back into my mailbox. Sometimes after I have read and deleted a message, it pops back into the inbox marked as unread. This problem only began occuring after I installed the latest OS update.
I am having this problem as well. I hate to just wait and hope Apple will fix the problem, but I'm not sure what else can be done. We can't be the only people experienceing this, can we?

N8 Social Application is not functioning!
All of sudden this message is popping up "Sorry please uninstall and reinstall communities" whenever i tried to access the facebook or click the "Social Network" button in address book.
Tried reinstalling the firmware, uninstalling the app & reinstalling. Nothing works. I saw previous posting regarding this, but no helpful reply from Nokia. Expecting more support from Nokia rather than being ignorant.

1-back up all of your data and remove your memory card if you have one.
2-use the code *#7370# to completely remove any data on your phone and wait till it restarts it might take a while and seems that it is not responding but wait it will eventually restarts.
3-install this file which I found on my phone by accident it is the only file that was able to install social back

4- after installation it might ask you for an update to the app and it will give you an error of installation if you try to install it but don't
5-redo the format and install the app again on your device if you can't use the app without the update and here you go the app is working again but sadly without the widget ( I am working on it right now wish me luck)
6- always remember to uninstall Social app before any new installation of the file

CS6.0 & CS5.5 Master Collection InDesign Font Control bar & Characters Panel not Functioning
Hi, I am a college student and our college a year ago sent me CS5.5 Master Collection InDesign at that time the font control bar was not functioning correctly on my PC. Our class was about Adobe Illustrator so our instructor rather than deal with it had us just cut and paste things into MS Word.
Now a year and half later I am taking a college course in Adobe Photoshop . . CS6.0 Master Collection InDesign once again the collection is the Student and Teacher Licensing for Windows. The same thing is happening now we are REQUIRED to this semester to create a Calendar using our own photos and create a INDESIGN layout using our photos we took for our course. In this version of CS6.0 InDesign I figured they would of fixed it by now, but the "Control Panel is still not working, nor is the Character Panel that you pull up to the side of InDesign. I am able to use the pull down menus and do things from there, but the point of taking this course was to learn the software, how can we students use the software if it is not functioning properly.
NOTE I AM EXPERIENCEING THE SAME THING WITH ALL SIDE PANELS NOW TOO.
Oh yes it changes the font name when you use the pull down window from the top menu, but it is not allowing us to use the CONTROL BAR just under the MENU BAR, nor the side panel I pulled up and am showing there. In ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR I can use the character panel just fine, but not in InDesign.
In Illustrator when I go to launch it I get this error, I have done as it asked but it still is bring this up at launch. I can go in and use Illustrator just fine, except for this error.
Someone thought I may of installed it incorrectly, so I removed all ADOBE software from my computer ran maintenance and virus scans and reinstalled the software, a whole day wasted, but it still is doing the same thing.
a) Thinking that this is a limitation placed on the software by Adobe because it is a Student Teacher Edition?
b) There's a problem with having OpenType and TrueType fonts on hand?
c) Adobe has a software problem that they have yet to resolve?
d) There is something somewhere within the software I need to flip a switch on?
Our instructor I gather who owns his own business his works just fine on his PC, but then because it is his business software it makes me think it has to do with the Student Teacher Edition.
I have more than enough RAM and hard drive space the Processor is a AMD A8-3800 APU with Radeon(tm) HD. Graphics is 2.40 GHz. It is a 64-bit Operating System. Oh I am using a Windows OS 7.0 Professional .
This is the only piece of software that I have come accross that will not function correctly on my computer system since it's purchase Jan of 2012.There is no difference between the commercial and educattional versions of the products other than the license terms. The software itself is the same.
Since you are on windows 7, the first question is are you using large fonts in the Windows interface? Large fonts combined with an Aero theme are deadly to ID. See InDesign tools and panels don't respond to mouse clicks (Windows 7/Vista)
If this doesn't apply, the next thing to try is replacing your preferences. See Replace Your Preferences
Do you use a font manager? If so, which one?
Does the account you are using have adminsitrator privileges? Shouldn't matter, but it would be worth trying a new account that does.
It's still possible that the installation failed in some way. That Illustrator error certainly makes it look like a strong possibility, and there may have been some left-over crud from the first failed install that was not replaced the second time. If the things above don't clear up the problems, I would suggest Deactivating the suite from an applicatin that will open, and uninstalling again, then run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) which will remove all traces of the previous installations. Reboot, then before reinstalling run MSConfig and turn off all non-essential startup programs and services, especially any virus or maware scanners, third-party firewall, instant messengers, iTunes and all browser helpers and toolbars, then close MSconfig and reboot. Log in as an Administrator (the actual Adminsitrator account would be best, but it may not be turned on). When the warning comes up about diagnostic mode continue to boot (cancel MSConfig if it opens), then run the installer again. You can now run MSconfig to restore normal startup and reboot once more. -
Air 3: Installs files, app not functioning ERROR/This installation of this application is damaged.
MAC OSX 10.6.8 / iMAC Intel Core i7 / ADOBE AIR 3
1- Previously this configuartion of the AIR Installer and our application installed correctly from a CD we supply clients. We needed to update the signing certificate and now the install does not function as before.
2- Recent Changes: Download AIR 3.0 installer, Recompiled our app with RoboHelp: added new signing certificate (.pfx) same name as old certificate, added time stamp.
3- When we run the installer, both Air 3 and our app install onto the system, but this AIR error window appears and our app does not function:

Error 1097 - function works in C++ application, but not in LabView
Good afternoon,
I have a C++ OpenCV application that I am trying to port to LabView for a co-worker. The application is fully functional when it's compiled standalone as an .exe. When called from LabView it reports error 1097.
However, this error is not being caused by not allocating momeory space or the way I am calling the DLL, because I can successfully run the DLL from LabView if I omit one function "findContours(..)" from being called inside my rotuine. Meaning that without this function I can send and receive an Image to my DLL and display it in LabView without a problem. This function is not being called directly from LabView either, it's called inside the main function that is being called by LabView.
That being said, the function allocates memory on its own for it's internal calculation purposes, I do not know what they are, but I know it works perfectly well in a standalone C++ application.
My DLL application consistenly uses 180Mb of memory without any leaks
My Question is:
Is it possible that LabView or windows may be preventing the DLL from allocating enough memory (I have 12Gb total)?
Is it possible to run the DLL as a separate application or in a different configuration that would prevent error 1097 from occuring?
How could LabView possibly be restricting the DLL?
Thanks,error 1097 means that the function somewhere and somehow overwrote memory areas that LabVIEW monitors as its own during the call. This could be memory buffer function parameters that are unallocated or to small or stack variables or some other memory areas LabVIEW puts in place around the DLL call when the highest debugging level is selected for the Call Library Node. But lowering the debugging level is not the solution as the function certainly does something that it should not do.
What that could be is impossible to say without analyzing the actual C source code of the function and possibly all the other functions involved in this as well as all the Call Library Nodes. It could even be that its something that is not even directly evident from the C source code but an effect of some (falsely invoked) optimization from the used C compiler.
I assume that you have actually a self written wrapper DLL here and that is where I would focus on in my search. It is quite unlikely that the OpenCV source code itself would still contain such errors after that much of time.

Webdynpro application not functioning from Apache Reverse Proxy
Hi Experts,
We are currently working on custom webdynpro application, which needs to be exposed to Internet. We are using Apache HTTP Server as a reverse proxy.
We canable to access URL, but no images are getting displayed and also the application not functioning when we click any button/links.
Below is the HTTPD file configuration.

When we look into image URL, which is being called from Apache, we found out "webdynpro" is missing in the URL.

AravindWe also had the same issue, but the problem was that instead of http https was getting called.
This has to do with 2 settings:
1. Check the reverse proxy re-write URL's again. Note that there will be 2-3 entries one for webdynpro as well.
2. Open your system definintion in system admin-sys configuration adn check the WAS settings. this should point to the FQDN of the proxy server and not to the R3 server.

I have photos in a DVD. In order to visualize them in iPhoto, must I necessarily import them? Can't I see the pictures from the media without importing? If not, is there any application with this functionality? I need an app that allows me to navigate through the photos without selecting all of them. iPhoto is a Database. Before it can work with any data it must be imported to the database, so yes it is necessry to import them.

The APP application on my iPad does not function properly - any downloads requested immediately fail and send me back tot he main iPad screen. Any suggestions on to hoe to fix this? The software has been updated to iOS 5.1.1, and no furthe updates are available.
This is my boilerplate response when app downloads are stalled or in the "waiting" mode. There are a bunch of things here to try.
Tap on the "installing" icon and see if you can pause the install, then tap on it again in order to resume the install.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download and install at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and see if the install resumes.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad. -
Volume control gray not functioning
