ISBN now optional?

I just uploaded an update of one of my books with iTunes Producer 2.8 and got the following error message
Two things:
First of all, I had an ISBN number in my file and it was an update of the original book that is already on the iBookstore with an ISBN
Second, did something change that it is not necessary to have an ISBN number in the first place. My understanding is that the ISBN is kind of a left-over from the old-school print era and doesn't make much sense for a lot of digital publications.
Anybody with more information on that?

I remember reading that for free books it isn't required, so maybe that's what the message refers to. I would assume even if the book was free, Apple might still recommend including an ISBN.

PS Now option on EU Store

Just checked on the PS store and found that the have put a PS Now option in. Now at this moment they have no games available for it, but can do a Connection test. Just wondering when Now will be avvailable in Europe?

I think this would be nice to have, but I also do not think it would work. It could become a problem if a stores inventory were to be incorrect and people were showing up to buy something that was no longer available. Like if someone saw a TV was in stock at a store near them and they drive 20 mins to the store only to find out someone had bought the last of that model in stock.

My back up now option is gone

My old phone broke and I was given a new phone. Shortly after my data was recovered on the new phone I did the new update. Now the "back up now" option is gone when I go into settings and icloud. Can I get it back?

The iOS 8 update changed the location of the "Back Up Now" button. You can find it here:

Back up manually
On your iOS 8 device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Backup, then tap Back Up Now.

Print now option in payments should be made mandatory when creating payment

Hi,
can someone let me know how can i make "print now" option mandatory one while making payments through forms personalization.
ex: when we select "actions" button, then 'print now' option should be enabled so that when business makes payments they would not forget selecting printer option.
Please advise soon.

ICloud Back-Up Now option?

I have an iPhone 5s and 200GB iCloud storage.
I have updated to iOS8.
Where is the "Back-Up Now" option in Settings?

Goto settings>icloud scroll down to "backup" and you will find "Back Up Now" option.

If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front. This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card. This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.

Now resolved, after chatting to Apple online support, who said they'd not heard of this happening - solved it quickly enough though.
Anyone interested or suffering similar I was told to remove website data from privacy tab in Safari preferences. And yes, I'd love to know how it worked too.....

Yesterday I opened "Options" for the first time in FF4 to reset my home page. Now, Options loads ITSELF into a new tab sporadically, spontaneously. What gives?

I had entered a custom home builders company page, which wouldn't load properly, but made a bunch of changes to my registry. I successfully ran CCleaner to clean up the registry, but when I loaded FF the site that caused me problems was now my new home page. I opened Options to reset home page to what it was before. That operation succeeded, but now every time I run FF, Options opens up spontaneously in a new tab.

HDD Corrupt? What now - options?

Ok guys, not had a good week - the week after warranty ran out on my MBP 15". Not sure if this an MBP issue or OSX but I'll start here.
Started to get battery problems - bad charges, low output etc - looks like its dying. Then this morning it won't wake from sleep having had lid closed all night. Came up ine after hard boot. Then tonight, again after sleep it won't wake up and now won't boot - either in OSX or XP Bootcamp.
Tried safe modes etc to no avail.
Booting to CD and using disc utility, showed the disc there but no verify/repair options (greyed out)
Firstly can I use the Time Machine restore to "fix" the issue? Is this quicker than re-install then restore?
Secondly (if thats no good) where do I find the other install options besides default - e.g. erase and repair or the archive/install (with user settings)? These dont appear or do I have to start the installation for this?
Any tips welcome.

Spoke to Apple today and the HDD is dead dead - can't be read or formatted, no partition table etc!
Anyway Apple are giving me new HDD and a new battery under warranty!
Lets hope a quick tidy job is done on it!
And thank God I did a backup not too long ago.

The 'Sync Now' option on my desktop Firefox menu won't work, nothing happens!

Please, will someone go to the firefox menu and see if this happens. Click the menu and then click 'Sync Now'. This is a gliche! I hope firefox fixes it!

FYI, My Sync hasn't been working for almost two days now. It'll not sync in my Laptop, and it will not sync in my HTC EVO 4G either. I think there's something wrong with the Sync server. I have searched everywhere and couldn't find out where to get help about this issue. Though I did post my problem in the Sync Add-on Review page, I doubt anything could be done there. So I just have to wait and see. The reason I think the server is down because it used to display an error message "cannot sync due to unknown error" and now it won't even do that. And when I move my mouse cursor on the Sync icon, it did not show the last time it was synced.
Personally, Firefox Sync hasn't been working flawlessly since it was incorporated into FF4. Many times it couldn't sync successfully, but it usually lasted for a few hours only. This time it has lasted two days so far.
Besides Sync, I am also using Xmarks as well as LastPass as a backup.

"Buy Now" option frozen

I downloaded the Adobe Acrobat XI trial about one year ago. After using it for the 30 day period, I did not opt to purchase. However, one year later (now), I would like to use the program and am ready to pay the monthly fee. Try using a different browser. I accessed the link you provided using IE9 and it presented a page with the subscription ready to be ordered/purchased.
