ISE 1.1.4 patch not installing

I have a standalone ISE, running at 1.1.4.218.
I am attampting to upload/install the patch bundle, and nothing appears to happen. Under patch management, I see "no data available". In the Operations Audit reports, there is no record of a patch install succeeding or failing or attempting.
I have checked the md5 hash of the tarball, and the download matches the listed hash on the downloads page.
Am I missing something, or is something amiss?
TIA

that would not help. Use CLI
To install a patch bundle of the application, use the patch command in the EXEC mode.

before you issue a command please ensure ACS is able to read the files in the repository.

  • Office 2013 patches not installing

I am trying to install some updates for office 2013 through Windows update and I keep on getting the error message 80070663 when installing these (8 so far). Other windows patches
install fine.  I am running Windows 7 Pro in a Domain environment and am a domain admin running these with full admin privileges.
I have tried just about every fix suggested in every other post
    - Rebuilding the Windows Update environment
    - Running Sfc (no errors)
    - Running the relevant Fixit's (no issues or repairs found)
    - Running Chkdsk Scan (no errors)
    - Downloading the patches and trying to run them manually (They error out with a applicability test error)
    - Running Antimalware and similar scans (nothing)
    - Running a repair on Office 2013 (errors out with a 5 error towards the end of the repair - faulting module msvcrt.dll fault offset 35e1
    - Downloading and reinstalling the C++ library re-distributables (i.e. msvcrt.dll)
Not this is only on the Office patches and not any other patches which suggests an office problem rather than a Windows update issue.
Anyone got any thoughts - There was a suggestion that this might be caused by missing update packages...

    Hi,
    Apologize for the late reply.
Regarding Office issue, have you tried Repair Office programs from control panel?
    Follow this guide:
    Repair Office programs
Change recommended update and diagnostic settings
Further, since this is more related with Office, it is recommended to ask inthe office forum for a better assistance:

  • Error U44M1p7 after a clean install of PS CC. "A patch not installed".  Retry to update gives same.

I've had problems for months with CC desktop failing when I boot up (for some reason it always tries to update itself and fails).  The normal reinstall won't work until I jump through hoops to uninstall CC desktop.  So, today I decided to bite the bullit and uninstalled PS CC and Bridge CC to see if a clean install would clear my continuing issue. The Adobe techs just have a script that can get me up today, but I am in same boat again tomorrow.  Did the uninstall of CC desktop, uninstall of PS CC and Bridge CC and then reinstalled CC desktop. So far so good. Next used CC desktop to reinstall PS CC (very long download) and upon reinstall get error U44M1P7 and message the installation succeeded, but a patch failed.
Desktop CC shows that I need to update PS, so I try.       Again get error U44M1P7.
Why is this so hard?  I never had these problems before CC?

  • WSUS updates download to Client but do not Install immediately

    Hi All,
Need your help to understand and resolve below WSUS related issue?
Client workstation has been configured with below WSUS group polices.
We have more than 2000 workstation which are part of same OU and same WSUS group policy.
This workstations has customize windows XP and 7 OS and its use as cash counter pc like in Mall.
We found 60% workstation has been patched with latest update automatically and rest of not patches.
We have created script for which remove old
    C:\winnt\softwaredistribution folder and and run
    wuauclt.exe / detectnow command.
Now we can see patches are downloading on system but not Install immediately. In event viewer we
can see event 17 which say “
Installation Ready: The following updates are downloaded and ready for installation. To install the updates, an administrator should log on to this computer and Windows will prompt
with further instructions: “ As this all workstation has customize OS and use command service account for login.
Also no pop us for as notification and no chance to install patches by user.
What we can do to install patches immediately without modifying GPO policy.
Does 3 - Auto download and notify for install gpo setting prevent us to install patches immediately After running script.
What is main reason on patches not install on workstation.
What will happens if system down during schedule install time.
Why always 40% workstation display as 99% install in WSUS console even after patches with latest month update.
Please suggest any new way to make 100% workstation compliance with patch update.
    Windows Components/Windows Update Policy Setting

    @JJJdavidson...
Thanks for sharing this valuable information.
Request you to please check below comment with respect of your suggestion and please suggest.
As you say with automatic update set to option 3 computer will never automatically install update But what will happens if we configure schedule install date and time setting along with automatic update option 3.  Will it allow computer to install
update on given date or we have to configure this setting only with automatic update option 4.
Is it true that with automatic update option 3 computer only download update and user attention require to install update on computer.
As I say.. our workstations are customize with windows xp and 7 and it wont any user to install update.
No doubt on point number 4.
With respect of your explanation in point 5. Please suggest on below point.
On which condition system will decide whether approve patches are applicable or not.
If any workstation are newly format then will it download all approve patches for that workstation.
With respect of above question.  If I format windows 7 workstation and in WSUS 100 patches has been approved since last year. Will it go and download all patches. In same case what will happens if any patches are replace with other patches .
I am asking all above request because i am majorly facing issue with 99% system status in WSUS and want to resolve this.

  • ISE 1.1.4 Patch 5 - Release Notes

Any word on the availability of the release notes for ISE 1.1.4 Patch 5?  I have a production affecting bug that is supposed to resolved in a future release and I'd like to know if it is resolved in Patch 5.
Also, in what case would you release a patch and not update the release notes?  This isn't a chicken vs egg argument, there is a patch therefore there should be release notes prior to the patch ever being released.  It's a bit of an oversight IMO.

    Hi
You can install patches on ISE servers in your deployment from the primary administration node. ISE patches are usually cumulative, however, any restrictions on the patch installation will be described in the README file that will be included with the patch. Cisco ISE allows you to perform patch installation and rollback from either the command-line interface (CLI) or GUI. When you install or roll back a patch from a standalone or primary administration node, ISE restarts the application. You might have to wait for a few minutes before you can log back in.

  • ISE 1.1.1 Patch 1 - Manifest.xml not found

    Hi, guys.
Anyone already installed ISE 1.1.1 patch "ise-patchbundle-1.1.1.268-1-60802.i386.tar.gz" successfully ??
When trying to install it via gui, ise tells me that "manifest.xml" is not found in the archive ...
But when I open the archive, the file is in it, I can extract all files without error.
After doing some checking, I found out that the md5 hash and the filesize of the file I downloaded
    are different ...
    Filesize and hash on cisco.com:
Filesize and hash of downloaded file:
Any ideas, what could be wrong ???
    Rg
    Frank

    Hi,
yes, I did, tried like twelve times, using different browsers, operating systems, with or without http proxies, .....
Always the same result: different hash, different size
Then I enter my question here, and magically one day later I can download a different file, this time with a correct hash
correct filesize, different archive content, but the same name ..... ;-)

  • CSA 6.0 will not install. Crashes on Patch Information.

I have tried to install CSA 6.0 a few times and it crashes on "Unable to load patch information into database. setup will now abort". can anyone tell me why this keeps happening. I have installed 5.2 just fine but I want to use 6.

If you encounter problems with installing or uninstalling the CSA, perform the following tasks:
    • Verify that you rebooted the server.
    • Verify that the Cisco Security Agent service is not disabled and that its Startup Type value is
    Automatic.
    • Obtain the installation logs from :\Program Files\Cisco\CSAgent\log. Review the
Cisco Security AgentInstallInfo.txt and driver_install.log files.
    • For installations, verify that you installed the Network Shim. The driver_install.log file should state
that csanet2k.inf installed. If the Network Shim is not installed, uninstall the Agent and then install
    the Agent again.
    • Verify that you did not use Terminal Services.

  • Recommended patch 120445-01 will not install with Sol. 9 (09/2005)

Patch 120445-01 will not apply to a Solaris 9 (09/2005) setup. The hardware is an Ultra-80. Although it is recommended, it fails with the "patchadd" message:
    Checking installed patches...
One or more patch packages included in 120445-01 are not installed on this system.
The host was installed from scratch and the "smpatch" was run until it had no more patches to apply except this one.
For us, this patch is only an annoyance. When I cursorily read the description, I doubt that these features exists on this hardware.

I had to install the packages:
    TSBWvplr.u
    TSBWvplu.u
from the DVD media. I could not find these packages from the CD media that I used. I had to use another machine to extract the packages.
I saw another post where it mentioned that patch 120445-01 would not apply. I suspect that the package install of it already has this patch.

  • TS4209 Wi-Fi 1.0 patch will not install on a 10.7.4 Mac OSX even though the Wi-Fi loss bug is still there

    Hello all,
The Wi-Fi 1.0 patch will not install on a 10.7.4 Mac OSX even though the Wi-Fi loss bug is still there, every now and then (the iMac does not detect any wi-fi network).
Are there any other solutions regarding this issue ?
    kind regards

    I figured out the problem.
This is going to sound a little crazy, but I've spent a lot of time on this one.
There's some kind of incompatibility with Lion and Seagate ST31000340AS drives. I was trying to install Lion on these drives and it would consistently fail. I've also tried to use these drives in a RAID volume. No go. I tried three different drives of this model. All of them failed.
I tried to install Lion on a Seagate ST31000528AS and it worked first time and sings beautifully.

  • Patch 123910-01 will not install

Patch 123910-10 will not install on some old Ultra-10 and Ultra-80 hosts. I suspect that the sun4u architecture does not support the sun4v categories.

I will take back this statement. Patch 123910-01 does install on the SUN sun4u architectures. I apologize.
I think I confused it with download failures due to a very sluggish connections to the Sun Update Connection Center. I have noticed some very sluggish performance. Sometimes it timed out just reading the readme file.
As of 4:00pm EDT, it (web site) is working fine.

  • ACR 8.4 CC RC install fails with AAM message 'patch not applicable'

ACR 8.4 CC RC install fails with AAM message 'patch not applicable' - Running Photoshop CC on OSX 10.7.5
Anyone seen this or have any ideas for a fix?
I also have my legacy CS6 installed on the same Mac - tried installing ACR 8.4 CS6 RC and that fails with the same dialogue box from AAM
The DNG converter installs no issue.
    Thx
    Chris.

Do you have some other software, like Photoshop Elements 12 on your system that would generally also be compatible with ACR 8.4 final but isn’t compatible with the RC because the RC’s only for PS users?
I installed the RC the same day it was released on my computer that has PS-CS6 & PS-CC with Windows 7 and it worked ok, so the update generally works, but something isn’t on your systems.
Are you up-to-date with your PS-CC version, which seems to be 14.2.1:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2014/02/photoshop-cc-14-1-1-update-now-available.html
And is CS6 updated to 13.0.6?

  • Patch showing not installed but it is on the server

I have KB2904266 deployed on all my servers. On my compliance reports it is showing its missing on 17 servers. This patch was release in December 2013 and I can see that it was installed on the servers in January 2014 which lines up to what I have deployed
in my Software Update Group's deployment. I see some posts about similar issues but no resolution.
    Any ideas would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Matt

The ConfigMgr SDK contains an example (vbs) to re-send all state messages to the server. This might help. Or examine WMI on the client (UpdatesStore) if the state is / is not "installed".

  • Patch 122647-04 does not install, no errors

    Hello!
I have one machine with Solaris10/x86 here and want to install all patches which are listed by "smpatch analyze". But there is one patch (122647-04) which does not install at all. It is not even listed in /var/sadm/spool/disallowed_patch_list_report.
For about four or five times I did an "smpatch update" and "init 6". The server reboots, but "smpatch analyze" tells me that 122647-04 is needed.
I got this error a few times before, but after the third install the patches got in. What can I try now?
    TIA
    Stephan

Unfortunately you haven't really given us much to go on.
What I would suggest is that the next time you drop to single user mode and attempt to apply the patch manually. The error message (if it fails) should give you an indication as to what is going wrong.
If the patch is amongst a great number of other patches, there is a chance that smpatch is attempting to install the patches in the wrong order, which would explain why it finally went in after the third attempt.
