ISE 1.2 Live Session View Empty

We have a distributed ISE deployment (1.2.0.899 patch 7) with the PANs in one firewall context and the MNTs and PSNs in another firewall context. Everything is working smoothly except that when looking at the Live Sessions view in the PAN, it's empty. Viewing the same thing on the MNT shows plenty of information, which is what we expect. Is there some bug in the version we're running that would prevent the Live Session view on the PAN from being populated? Or do we just have to use the MNT to view that instead?

You have it setup correctly so not sure why things are not working for you. The PSNs should be the accounting servers and the admin persona should be the only GUI you/console you should be logging into to manage the system.
Check the deployment tab, do all nodes have a "green check box" and in sync?

ISE 1.2: Show live Sessions with/without Events

I have a strange issue. Sometime I see Events according to my live sessions, sometimes not. I am wondering is somebody is aware if this feature/bug in ISE 1.2 (Patch 5):
all theses sessions come from the same SSID/WLC (WiSM2 with rel. 7.6). All sessions have full accouting and the same realtime log.
Any idea?

Clear ISE live session

Is it possible to clear / delete an live session on the ISE (1.2)? There are some sessions which are really old and for sure not live or active.

There is no option to delete the live session on the ISE 1.2. You can choose an option from the within drop-down list to specify a time interval,

Unable to see live data view for a access db

I'm using the following:
Asp.net C#
Server 2003 Sp2/
DW CS3
Access db
I'm attempting to connect to a "local" db on my server.
I use the database connection string"
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;
Data Source=C:\catalog\Catalog\files.mdb;
Persist Security Info=False
ole db connection
While in the data link properties window the connection is
successful but in the ole db connection window I get "An
unidentified error has occurred".
If I just press ok I'm unable to see any of the table in my
db.
All I want to do is setup the Live Data view

Need a site for how to redirect if session is empty

I have a session that i have created as soon as someone
logins. I need some
help on how to redirect the person if they try to access a
page without the

i have 5 pages... based on your login you entered, i am

the session... on each page i have a stored procedure that is
executed on
submit to verify that name against the table to add the recid
into the new
table..
I want to make sure that on page load if that session is

to main page to login and continue

Live View CS4 vs Live Data View CS3

In DW CS3 I was able to edit php pages in Design View with
Live Data View turned on. Without it the page did not display
properly. This made life easy adding content to clients web pages
(the main stay of maintaining web sites).
With DW CS4 this functionality appears to have been removed
or perhaps I just cannot work out how to get it.
Adding lots of content in code view is a pain - can anyone
tell me if and why this has changed and has DW become a tool for
fanciful coding at the cost of being the workhorse it used to
be?

To access Live Data view in CS4, select View > Live Data
or use the
keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+Shift+R/Shift+Cmd+R.

Wrong updation in v$session view.

Hi,
I have problem in v$session view on OSUSER column , when i query the v$session i get wrong information in OSUSER column .
SELECT USERNAME, OSUSER, STATUS, PROGRAM, machine from v$session where USERNAME IS NOT NULL;
USERNAME OSUSER STATUS PROGRAM MACHINE
DHAN_UPG SYSTEM INACTIVE JDBC Thin Client host209
I get the "SYSTEM" as OSUSER in that machine, but there is no osuser like this. Please clarify me for this.

Meaning of Machine field in v$session view

Hi,
I have a doubt about this field of the v$session view, in the documentation i only find this definition for the mentioned field:
MACHINE VARCHAR2(64) Operating system machine nameIs the machine's name where the database is installed or the machine's name where a client is accesing the database??
If i have an OAS 10g installation in machine1 and i'm accesing Oracle Forms Developer's modules in machine2 the value in the Machine field will be the machine's name where i have my OAS installed right ??

It is the machine by which you try to make the connection/session to the Database

Live data view

I installed php om my mac using xampp. I made a testSite
folder in the htdocs folder in xampp. I made a new Site in
Dreamweaver and made the testSite folder the test server folder
with local php/MySQL. I put
http://localhost/ as the URL preffix,
and I've tried 127.0.0.1. I made a dateTest php file and saved it
in testSite. I enter the link into my browser and the correct date
showed up, so I think I have my testing server working. Then when I
try live data view in DW I get the 404 error. It says its
attempting to request the dateTest.php file but it always adds some
radom number to the file name and it does'nt show the subfolder
testSite. The path in the error message is
http://127.0.0.1/dateTest_TUUF58NIX.php.
when I type it in my browser it's
http://127.0.0.1/testSite/dateTest.php
is this the problem or does anyone know whats going on?

OK, I have at least figured the first part out, which as I
gather from Google searching may be of use to a few people.
Of course, this is a wacky Vista permissions problem. One
must go to the folder in which your DB is housed and change the
permissions of user name IUSR to read and write. Note that as I
understand it this is changed in Vista relative to XP: In XP one
would change the permissions for user IUSR_<machine_name>.
Not so Vista.
I now have a new problem: when I try to execute the
Javascript .asp page using Live Data View, it gives me the error
"Microsoft JScript runtime error '800a1391
"'IInventory' is undefined"
I should mention that "Inventory" is the name I gave to the
DSN connection in ODBC Administrator.
Anybody got any ideas on this one?

i think you dint enable the query logging..
in your rpd open your user and in the logging level select 2 or 1.
before that you need to enable one thing.

New prompt to upgrade Live Street View which I recently downloaded to replace Google Street View lost with my IOS6. There's 35 pages of TOA. has anyone tried the upgrade

Recently downloaded Live Street View to replace Google Street View lost in IOS6 "upgrade." It's OK, but images are 3" & don't zoom. Today I received a prompt to upgrade Live Street View, but it is preceded by 35 pages of TOA from Apple. I'm suspicious of trusting Apple (again) and agreeing to their terms. Current version of Live Street View isn't ideal, but its still better than what I was left with pre-IOS6. Has anyone done recent upgrade to Live Street View and is it any better than before?

Best setup for live sessions

1- Can you tell me please if with MainStage 3 i can REALLY play live session with severals VST Instruments loaded inside and a macBook pro i5 + 16G ram?

I've tried using the following (but my info is a few years old!):
ProTools, once in a gig, quite difficult to set up but easy to use during the gig. Reliable, but I wouldn't recommend it. I know someone who did loads of gigs with PT but recently swapped to MS.
LiveProfessor on a Windows laptop, used once for a gig as well. Not easy to set up either but it has a time delay feature for controls which may be what you're after in the scripting (e.g. you can fade volume over time say, or adjust a CC number over time).
Forte on windows, but again, its a host for VSTs rather than a visual representation of what you're doing. As used by Marillion keys player Mark Kelly.
Cubase - not used live but for playing around and testing. Just a host again. I know a band who used this but it and the hardware proved to be too unreliable and they eventually invested in a Kronos instead.
Basically for me its the GUI of MS that makes it good, entirely because it displays the keyboard with the layers on top. This makes it so easy to set everything up and to visually see that its working correctly. Particularly when I'm under pressure in a rehearsal for example. All the other solutions above just don't seem to have this type of display, they hide the important things away in text fields etc, which makes it much harder to manage.
