ISE 1.2 Patch 8 Endpoint icon Missing

Hi,
Has anyone seen an issue where the Endpoint icon under Identity just disappears.
I upgraded to Patch 8 yesterday and all seemed fine but sometime this morning between adding enpoints the icon has gone.
Very strange.

I recall seeing this as a bug with Patch 8.  v1.2.1 addresses and fixes this.

  • ISE 1.2 Patch 12

    Hi all,
I upgraded from ISE 1.2 patch 6 to 1.2 patch 12 to fix an ISE portal bug over the weekend.
None of my Guest Wireless users are complaining, authentication is working fine. But the below error is appearing for every Guest user session under ISE/Operations/Live Authentications.
"5441 Endpoint started new session while the packet of previous session is being processed. Dropping new session"
Is anyone aware of a bug possibly and I guess you need to upgrade to 1.3.x
I would've thought Cisco would bring out a fix for this in 1.2.x....maybe patch 13 (new bug?)
Any info out there about 5441 before I log a TAC?????
    Thanks.

Any updates? I am not so sure it is cosmetic. I have clients failing to make it through the flow. I am seeing the following on these clients requests:
It would appear that because the accounting data doesn't get back it, there is confusion that the session doesn't exist and the auth fails.
    Event
    5400 Authentication failed
    Failure Reason
12953 Received EAP packet from the middle of conversation that contains a session on this PSN that does not exist
    Resolution
Verify known NAD issues and published bugs. Verify NAD configuration. Turn debug log on DEBUG level to troubleshoot the problem.
    Root cause
Session was not found on this PSN. Possible unexpected NAD behavior. Session belongs to this PSN according to hostname but may has already been reaped by timeout. This packet arrived too late.

  • LabVIEW 2011 compiled application icon missing

Previously when I built an application the VI Icon would appear in the top right corner exactly the same in the compiled executable as it did in the VI.
Since upgrading to LabVIEW 2011SP1 all I get is a blank/question mark, icon missing indicator.
This happens for all of my compiled applications regardless of what icon I specify, even if I leave it as the default.
VI icon looks like this               Application icon looks like this.
Just to be extra clear, there is no problem with how the exe icon appears in windows explorer and shortcuts.
I am ONLY talking about how the front panel icon in the top right corner appears.
The application works, it just looks ugly/unprofessional.
Is this a bug? Do I have something configured incorrectly? Is there a workaround? Has anyone else noticed this?

I tried building on another computer. It works properly.
My usual development machine is running Windows XP SP3.
The other computer I just tried a build on is running Windows 7 and that works fine.
I'm trying a repair of the XP installation now (I'll get back to you in a couple of hours!).
One other possible difference is that on the XP machine I installed the LabVIEW 2011 SP1 f1 patch.
Now I can't remember if I uninstalled it again afterwards. How can you tell if the patch has been applied or not?
I can't remember if I did it on the Windows 7 machine too???

  • ISE 1.2 patch 4 not retrieving groups

Since the update to ISE 1.2 patch 4 it isn't possible anymore to retrieve groups or attributes from the active directory. It keeps loading.
    Anyone else experiencing this issue?
    Regards,
    Mathieu

The issue you are referring to is documented in the following CDETS:
CSCul84544: Retrieval of AD groups or attributes is failing
This is not yet resolved. May be resolved in a future patch
The workaround given in the CDETS is
Fix the DNS server so that the reverse DNS lookup matches
I believe there are other steps that can be taken to mitigate this but would need intervention from TAC

Trying to create a remediation rule in ISE 1.2 patch 3 and the drop down list for the AV/AS Vendor Name is not scrollable so I am not able to select our AS/AV vendor. See picture below:

You're right.    I just tested this and was able to scroll down using the down arrow on the keyboard.

  • Airplay Icon missing from iTunes 11.0.2.26 (PC) and Genius Sidebar

After upgrading to iTunes 11.0.2.26 my Airplay icon is missing. I've tried the simple fix that reportedly works where you switch to mini player, see the Airplay icon and then it stays when you switch to normal mode.
Firstly the icon does appear but it is grayed out and only pops up a volume control. It does not detect, display, or allow you to select output devices, Second, it is still missing from the normal size window.
This has been tried with and without restarting iTunes as well as reinstalling iTunes. I'd go for a downgrade but then it fails to work with the new iPads at all. I discovered that with my first iPad mini where it required an iTunes upgrade.
    Genious Sidebar
I figured Id just downgrade to 10.6.3 to get the genius sidebar back afterwards. WRONG, it will not synch or do anything without the newer versions of the iTunes software. Genius sidebar was the best thing about the software and they kept taking it away, brought it back for a few versions, then took it away again. It was and remains my favorite way to shop for new music. The remaining so called genius functions are just plain lame.
Airplay Icon Missing from Itunes on PC
I can hit my Airplay devices such as Apple TV and Zeppelin Air with iPads, iPods, and iPhones. Just not from the PC Console where is previously enjoyed it the most. So I know the devices are fine. They are all on the same physical wired and wireless network. Even when I put the Zeppelin on the wired LAN there is no Airplay icon in iTunes on the PC.

Hi. just want to tell you i had the same problem Ipad--->tv working ok iphone---->tv also working ok pc home sharing not working and airplay icon in itunes 11.0.2.26 is missing. iam running windows 7 64bit
NOW! i can tell you in my case it was nothing to do with your router or antyvirus ip connection.

  • ISE 1.2 Patch 7 possible guest CWA bug

Just upgraded an ISE implementation to patch 7 and discovered that the patch broke the CWA guest portal on wireless. I haven't tested wired CWA but wireless is busted.
In summary the redirection works fine but when you enter valid guest credentials nothing happens including no logs on ISE. If you enter credentials that don't exist in the guest group you get a failed authentication and the corresponding log. As soon as I rolled back to patch 6 everything worked again.
If any TAC engineers see this feel free to pursue it - I would log a case but the kit is NFR and I can't be bothered going through the process of logging a job on NFR kit.

    Hi,
I'm experiencing similar issues with patch 7. I am actually using a custom portal, which was working fine in patch 4 - after upgrading to patch 7 to fix a Web Posture bug, the portal would randomly push out pages from the Default Portal (I.E. Device Registration when I had no self provisioning flow enabled). Now, I am getting the error in the attachment after the user accepts the AUP.
The standard portal is working fine, except for a bug with the "Require Users to change password at login" option. When users try to change their password at first login, the portal errors out and I get an error in the Authentication Logs. However, the password is changed successfully. This issue is apparent since installing patch 7.

  • ISE 1.2 Patch 8

Our ISE Deployment for wireless only is operating on 1.2.0.899 Patch 3.  We are looking to upgrade to Patch 8.  We plan on testing in a Dev envioronment first, but I was curious what others experience had been with stability in Patch 8?

So far I have not had serious issues with patch 8 versus previous patches which caused me bother in certain areas. I think with all ISE patches you need to read the release notes and read the caveats to see what issues may or may not affect you. If you are on a production system I would also make sure you have your rollback option in place aswell. For what it is worth I am always keen to stay on the most recent patch of ISE due to patches generally fixing more than they break. Just make sure you run through your original system test plans and user test plans and all should be well.

  • ISE 1.2 disable endpoints with certain mac address

    Hi All,
We have an AD to authenticate for wireless users. In AD, we have specified to block the user if the password is entered wrongly for more than 3 times. The problem is some of them are using other user ID and locking the accounts. I have gotten the MAC address of the user. Can anyone please advise how to block the request from this MAC from even reaching the AD.
    Thanks

You have two options from ISE and one option from the WLC:
The first option which is not very scalable is to modify your authentication policy to deny access to an specific MAC address(Radius:Calling station ID). But this is not very scalable as you can only specify one MAC address.
Your second option is to enable the anomalous client suppression(under systems->settings->protocols->RADIUS). This will be your best option but it would require a bit of testing to identify what are the best values for your environment.
From the controller you can enable the excessive 802.1x authentication failures. By default it won't even send the fourth authentication to ISE for a failing endpoint:

  • CS4 Extended - Some Icons missing

    Hi there,
there are some icons missing regarding the control if the opened files ( see attached image link ).
I tried reinstall but without success.

    ANy ideas?
    regards,

I had the same problem. It also caused some issues in CS3 with the selection tools.
Remove Nik software if it's present in your plugins folder. For me the specific folder that fixed it was named "penpalette." Once I deleted this the icons came back and the program worked much better and more smoothly.

  • [solved] Gnome/GTK icons missing

    Hey,
yet another icon missing topic, but I didn't find anything similar to my problem in this forum.

    http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/4341 … gicon2.png
    http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/7168 … gicon3.png
As you can see, icons are missing not only in the gnome menu, but also
in firefox (gtk app). Therefore, I think the problem is more related to GTK?!
Yes, I tried serveral icon themes and engines, no success.
    1. Anyone out there who got the same problem?
Because laptop and desktop have the same issue.
    2. Any further information about this issue?
    3. Any suggestions/advices?
    Thanks in advance,

  • [Solved] Gnome 3 Shell - Icons Missing After Update

After my last update session, some icons went missing in Gnome. Even more unsettling, only some are missing. From what I can tell, my application icons haven't gone anywhere, but things such as minimize, restore, close, etc. are 404. Here's a photo to explain: https://vps.nullh.net/uploads/gnome-icon-issue.png I also noticed nvidia is included in the last update. I searched the forums, but all of the other problems seemed to be different problems (e.g. application icons were all bunched up/missing, desktop icons "missing", etc.) I feel like I should probably have more icons in the folders, too, but I haven't looked in there before the problem to be sure. Also, Alt+F2 "r" doesn't make a difference, the shell reloads but the icons are still AWOL. If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears.

  • Nokia Maps Icon Missing?

    Good day everyone.
i have just bought this new Nokia Asha 303 phone and i thought the software installed in the phone is incomplete because i cant seem to find the shortcut for nokia maps. I installed the nokia suite in my pc and check  for software updates and it is up to date. I already tried factory reset, but nothing, still the same. Is it possible to restore the missing icon? thanks for any help.
    sorry for bad english

Right after having my new phone I started exploring its possibilities testing applications from Ovi store. At some point I got some problems with an application so I decided it would be a good idea to try a reset... I first try with an app settings reset to defaults (from the s40 Configuration menu, not the Restoring Factory Defaults menu)... right after that I realized I didn't have Nokia Maps icon in any of the lists of installed applications, nor I could found any loader in both file units, phone and memory card, for it... I was not 100% sure the icon vanished after settings reset, but I supposed it, so I thought something went definitely wrong and I decided to try reset to factory defaults as I just started testing the phone so I hadn't any information saved there to lose... what I could not expect it's that a factory reset will not yield the software at the same very state as what I received short time before. In addition to not getting back the Nokia Maps icon, I noticed another difference in the system, I have an Introduction icon in the list of default applications, that triggers a video playback showing the phone basics... now when I push that button, the playback starts but only for the audio, and instead of the video I show a black screen with a NOKIA logo in the center, the same very screen I see when boot up the phone. I've seen https://betalabs.nokia.com/trials/nokia-maps-suite/bugreport/46316/nokia-map-icon-missing-after-inst... this problem is not happening only on s40 OS phones, but at least on Symbian^3 phones they had a stand alone installer to install back the app http://betalabs.nokia.com/trials/ovi-maps-for-mobile-v3-08 Something like this seems what s40 OS phone users like me are needing.
