ISE 1.3 - European date format

Hi,
In ISE 1.2 it was possible to change the date format, globaly. I can't seem to find this anymore in 1.3. Is it gone, or is it just well hidden?
This is primary related to the sponsorportal where it affects the:
* Create/edit account
* Manage accounts
* View a account
I've tried to change the LocaleKeys in my own language.properties file as well without any results.

Hi Robert,
i've got the same problem. Did you find something to resolve this issue?
best regards

  • No English language setting with European date formatting available

The English language setting in my iPod bought in Finland forces date format to the American MM/DD/YYYY style. There is no English language setting that would result in the European DD.MM.YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY format.
Either making date formatting separately configurable (as time formatting already is), or adding another English locale with European-style date formatting solves this problem.

Yes I agree, date format should be language independant. This is very annoying!

  • European date format?

    Hi,
I've been using the auto-formatting function for dates quite a lot, but I've noticed it only seems to do the US date format: month/day/year, as opposed to the European format: day/month/year, which is what I'm used to using.
Is there a preference for this somewhere?
I've set up my computer so that the system is in English, maybe that has something to do with it too.
I'd like 12/5/2009 to mean May 12, 2009 for example, not December 5...
    Thanks for any tips!
    Alexandra

    Quit Numbers
Open the "International" System preferences pane
    Select the "Format" tab
Define the medium format this way:
    Close the pane
    Launch Numbers.

    tyson,
why dont you control the date display through the user creation / user details option - then your date entries should sort themselves out.

  • How to use US date format on schedule?

When schedule a recurring instance and I'm prompted for the Start and End dates, they are formatted in the European date format.
How can I have it default to and always use the US date format?

This fix from R2 seems to work with XI 3.0 as well:
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sno/ui/main.do?iv_mode=003&iv_sapnotes_number=1196530
    Here are the steps:
Open the Last Login for User report in InfoView which requires the change.
Add a new variable in the Web Intelligence report.
Use the following function in the formula for the new variable. The function uses central time as an example:
    RelativeDate([GMT format timestamp];0.25)
For example, if it is required to change to central time, use 0.25 as there is a six-hour difference between it and Greenwich Mean Time (6/24 GMT = 0.25).
Use this variable in the report to return the correct local time.
Only problem is you have to edit each auditor report and change and create another variable for any object with a "date" data type.

  • HT3345 Importing from xls problems with the date format (mixed european format)

    Hi.
I made some spreadsheets with Neo Office and saved them in xls format. So I can import them in numbers, doing so in OpenOffice, LibreOffice or even the worst in Mircosoft Office on a PC works just fine. But importing them with Numbers 2.0.4 it just don't work.
    I have Mac OSX 10.5.8 and a PowerPC G4 1,67 GHz.
The date format in all other programs is " 21.05.2011" and numbers creates "21/05/2011" out of it. Although my international setting is set to 23.05.2012. It defines the cells as my own format and takes than the totally wrong format.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem, or how to change all the weird own formats in my international setting, which would be correct.
    Best regards.

    Hi Franklin,
I used to have similar problem with date too. To make my forms and reports work for all date, I used to send the parameter from forms to the report in text format. In the report, I grab that parameter as "Text Format" (I mean the parameter created in Oracle Reports was really as Character in datatype property) then I manipulate them in my SQL to convert that "date" into real date using TO_DATE function. Usually I use DD-MM-YYYY as my date format.
    Hope this help.

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com,
when I sent some informations to Reports, one of these informations was a date field. Here, the format mask may vary from one computer to another - some computers here are using american date format; however, my computer was using brazilian date format.
The fact is that I was sending date information to Reports using the mask dd/mm/yyyy, and Reports (in the computer that uses american date format) couldn't recognize it, stating that I was sending an invalid month. So I had to change my date information to dd-mon-yyyy and Reports could run in the other computer, but doesn't run here anymore - fact that obligated me to change my date format to american format.
Is there any way for me to use a date format mask that's valid to all computers here? If other computers - with other format masks - meet the same problem, the use of this program may become something very complicated.
    Thanks for all answers,
    Franklin Gongalves Jr.

  • Changing the Date format in iCal

Is there any way to change the date format from American (MM/DD/YY) to European (DD/MM/YY) in iCal?
    Thanks in advance.

As far as I'm aware, it should respect what you specify in the Formats tab of the International pane in System Preferences.

  • F110 Date formats for Vendors

    Hi friends,
I am running payment run and system when generates checks, it creates checks with european format (DD.MM.YYYY)for vendors of china, UK but for US vendors its in US format(MM/DD/YYYY)
Is there a way in SAP we can make it similar for all vendors.
Because we pay them from US banks and client want all checks to be generated in US format only.
    Thanks
    Mil

    Hello Mil,
    I suppose this should help.
Try changing the country global parameters
In order to get there. SPRO > General Settings > select the country that you need to change to US standards. Say for instance china (Double click)
It would take you to Country Global Parameters.
Here under Date format which appears on the bottom-left corner choose MM-DD-YYYY instead of the default.
Hope this would resolve your issue.
Please allocate points if rendered useful.
    Thanks

  • Date formats in BEx selection screen

Can we set date formats to use the European format as a default (by person) in Bex?  I don't see varialbes taht are set-up this way.

    Hi laja,
BEx date format is based on the global settings made on each indiviual PC user.
to change the default USA date format in BEx to your required format,
Go to > Control Panel > Regional and Language options > customize (or) select your country from the list.

  • Date format on top right corner

I have set the date format to European style in system preferences. It shows correctly in Finder's file view. However, the date format on top right corner still display in American format. It seems the date does not follow the setting in system preferences. Pls advise where to change it to European format. Thanks!

From the Region menu in the preference pane, select one of the preset regions. If one is already selected, choose a different one, then change it back. Close the window and test.

  • Bermuda Short (Date Format)

I live in Bermuda.  We use a D/M/Y date format as in the UK, but  we use (123) 456-7890 for telephone numbers as in North America.  I used to use Canada as my region setting to satisfy this combination.  In iOS 5, selecting Canada now gives me YYYY-MM-DD dates.  I was happy to then find that Bermuda is actually now an option in the Region Format list (take that, Bahamas and Barbuda!), but selecting Bermuda erroneously gives me  the U.S. M/D/Y format.  It seems the only way way to get my desired D/M/Y is to choose a European, African, or Asian country, but then my Address Book phone numbers are nearly unrecognizable.
Is there a d/m/y, (123) 456-7890 option in the Region Format list (I haven't tried them all)?
    or
is there a way to customize these settings?
    or
how do I let Apple know they are using the wrong date format for Bermuda?

well you could do something like this.
String year = "02";// you said you are parsing this out...
    year = "20"+year;
int yearAsInt = Integer.parseInt(year);but most likely the better way is to use date from string formatting tool already available http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html

  • Numbers Vers. 3.2.2 (date format possibilities missing)

I see no possibility to change the date format
... in numbers exists only the american standard .... month/date/year  ...   and it is not possible to have the date without a time ... and for some date related tables  it makes no sense ... and the exportability ... the direct use in Excel is somehow ver bad ... I find.
There exits still a big world outside the USA ...    !!!  Please dear programmer look out in the world ... there are some other needs outside the states.
It is not possible to change in the european standard  day/month/year  with no time ......  (it would be nice to have adequate format  to Excel !!)
I would be (and I guess many others very happy) when more possibilities of format settings would be  available soon !!!
Thanks in advance ...   I am waiting the day when I can remove Excel and all other Microsoft products form my apple computers, Ipad's and the iphone ....

Numbers is quite international. In Help > Numbers Help and Formulas and Functions Help in your menu you can choose among more than 30 languages.
In addition to making changes in System Preferences, see this help entry for an explanation of how to create custom date-time formats.

  • Date Format in Autosave Vault

I have just noticed that the date format used in the names of Autosaved files in the Autosave Vault Folder are in the US format which I find confusing and risks error. How can I change this to the European format of dd/mm/yy? (I have searched the manual and Tom's book.)
    Thanks.
G5/2.0 GHz Mac OS X (10.3.9) 1 GB RAM, 150 GB HD, FCE HD, Tom Wolsky's book, & FCE HD Visual Quickstart Guide

You have got me there, Steve!
In the nine months I have been using FCE, I wasn't aware there was a date in there, let alone its format.
I can't imagine any circumstance where it could possibly cause errors.
I have never needed to use it and I fear you may be looking for problems that in reality either don't exist or don't matter.
I am sure that once you get editing you will forget all about it and it will never bother you again.
Mind you, now that I have had my attention drawn to it, I would like to know how it could be altered!

  • Ipod Nano date format

I have an Ipod nano and have started to download podcasts. These are dated, but for some reason my Nano will only use a rather odd date format, where the month comes first, and then the date. I have searched for the option to turn this off, and return to dd/mm/yyyy, but cannot find it. Can anyone help?

    Hi Richard,
    See this post:
    iPod 1.2: About the Clock
    ...in particular this part:
"Depending on the language iPod is set to use, the date and time format will change accordingly."
The default for English may be the American standard of month/day/year, rather than the European standard you were expecting.
Here is a post from someone with the same gripe:
