ISE Guest Service fail depending on the browser

One of my customers is complaining about having problems to access the guest services depending on the browser used:
When the visitor has Intenet Explorer 10 or 11, he said the content is blocked and even the guest portal is not displayed. When the visitor has Google Chrome (no specific version indicated), he said the portal is displayed but the content is blocked after ingress user and password. Whit Firefox a certificate exception was added in advanced options.
I think the issue can be something related with certificates or even the computer but I'm not sure how can I identify the root cause.
I wonder if something in the ISE is reported about the browser used to authenticate in the guest portal. I know the release notes indicate browser compatibilities, but in guest services I think shouldn't be restrictions, because you don't know what device, OS, or browser will be used by guests.
The ISE is running 1.1.2.145, no patches yet.
I will appreciate any tip you can provide me.

Google chrome , Mozilla and IE are supported, but there is some restriction in the browser versions.
For IE make sure you have enabled ActiveX controls and check if the compatibilty mode is enabled.
If customer is making use of supported browsers and still experiencing the issue then we need to check what options are enabled on browsers and what is blocking the content download in the browser.

Hello, I created a ALSB proxy service that I have been able to successfully access from a SOAP client. I exported the WSDL from the Project Explorer, Resources Block, Actions column, and it gave me this URL to hit the proxy service:
http://mymachine:7001/OneProxyServiceToOneBusinessService/DoubleItWSFromWL_PRSRV
No problem here. But when I try to access the WSDL from the browser (helpful for SOAP clients in generating the JAX-WS artifacts), using this URL:
http://mymachine:7001/OneProxyServiceToOneBusinessService/DoubleItWSFromWL_PRSRV?wsdl
I get this error HTML message back as a response:
"Error 405--Method Not Allowed
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.6 405 Method Not Allowed
The method specified in the Request-Line is not allowed for the resource identified by the Request-URI. The response MUST include an Allow header containing a list of valid methods for the requested resource"
(Same error message if I omit the "?wsdl" at the end, BTW.)
I don't understand this message--what do I need to do to be able to view the proxy service's WSDL from the browser, or does ALSB not provide that option?

Click on the Proxy Service in your ALSB project to go to Proxy Service Configuration page. On this page, you will see an endpoint URI, something like /myservice. To get the wsdl in browser, use the URL like http://mymachine:7001/myservice?wsdl

Windows 8 Hyper-V - Virtual Machine Management Service failed to start the virtual machine

I have Hyper-v running on Dell Precision T3600 with Windows 8 OS. I am trying to start a VM (called Windows8VM) to install Windows 8 in the hyper-v virtual machine, but I keep getting the following message:
"Windows8VM" failed to start.
Failed to start the virtual machine "Windows8VM" because one of the Hyper-V components is not running.
"Windows8VM" failed to start. (Virtual machine ID D670D3BB-9AE2-0453D-9191-EA6EFC242A9C)
The Virtual Machine Management Services failed to start the virtual machine "Windows8VM" because one of the Hyper-V components is not running.
I have turned the hyper-v feature on in the "Turn Windows feature on or off. The BIOS has virtualization enable. Help!!! driving me nuts for a week now.

Okay, I turned off hyper-v, went to bios and enabled Intel TXT(LT-SX) Configuration. Made sure that both Virtualization and VT for Direct I/0 are on. Next, I turned on Hyper-V and I create a brand new Virtual Machine call Windows8 and had
the DVD point to Windows8 ISO file on hard drive. When I clicked on start, it stayed in the Starting status mode for about 5 minutes. Then of course it failed. I looked at the Hyper-V-VMMS log and here is what it output:

Oracle Reports gives : "Failed to locate the Browser" Error. Please help.

I am new to Oracle Reports Developer. I followed the "Oracle Reports Tutorials" (Document ID : B14364-01) to build my first report.
I tried to run the report in web layout mode : I got the following things.
1) A new blank firefox window.
2) After a few seconds : A message window in Report Builder with : "Failed to Locate the Browser" Message
My Machine details :
Windows XP sp3.
Oracle Developer Suite 10g.
Firefox version : 3.5.
Registry Entries : HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software|Oracle|Toolkit|TKBrowser. No BrowserName, BrowserPath keys found. So I added these keys manually under the paths :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software|Oracle|Toolkit|TKBrowser|BrowserName (value = firefox)

Ran the report again. This time also I encountered the same scenarios which I mentioned previously. Also tried with registry setting

I also ran with the all the settings once without restarting the computer after making the changes. And also ran each time by restarting the computer whenever I changed the value. I could not get a break thourgh.
Please help me in resolving this issue. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for replying. I tried the same thing with Netscape 9 now. It is still displaying a blank web page and after a few seconds the same message in Reports Developer : " Failed to locate the Browser".
Is there any specific setting that I need to customize in order to run the reports? My Forms are being executed without any issues. Where as I have problem with Reports Developer.

I have RDS 2012 session deployment in Azure with connection broker high availability.
The "Remote Desktop Management" service does not start automatically when the connection broker virtual machines are stopped and started.
I see the below error in event logs of both the connection broker VMs
Note: WHen i manually start the "Remote Desktop Management" service after this error, it all works without issues.

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
In respect to error 46, this issue may occur if the computer boots without a configured dump file. The default dump file is the pagefile. During a clean Windows OS installation, the very first boot will hit this condition as the pagefile has not been set up
yet.
To resolve this issue, you may want complete the paging file configuration.

In regards to error 10154, you need to create the SPN specified in the event using the
setspn.exe utility and also need to grant the “Validated Write to Service Principal Name” permission to the NETWORK SERVICE.

ISE: differentiate Guest's accesses depending on the device

Hi All,
I'm running an ISE 1.1.1 and i need to authenticate guest users.
The goal is apply different Authorization profile to the same guest user based on the thevice he use to connect to the guest wlan.
I.E.:
if guest user "user1" connect to the guest WLAN using a windows laptop, than apply "Guest" authorization profile
if guest user "user1" connect to the guest WLAN using an Apple iPad, than apply "Mobile" authorization profile
I've tried to deployed the following 2 authorization policy:
1)if "Apple-Device" and "IdentityGroup:Name EQUALS Guest" then "Mobile"
2)if "Guest" then "Guest"
but the first rule never match and even if I use and iPad to access the guest network the "Guest" authorization Profile is matched
I've verified that the iPad is correctly recognized as an Apple-Device changing for test purposes the rule table in
1)if "Apple-Device" then "Mobile"
2)if "Guest" then "Guest"
and the "Mobile" profile is correctly applied.
Any suggestion on how define a condition to match a Device and an Identity Group?

Checking the Endpoint Identity I can confirm that it is correctly profiled
I've disabled the "apple device" condition in the authorization policy but the rule still don't match.

"Install Virtual Guest Services" fails - Error (2927) - Unknown error (0x8033811e)

Management Server (MGMT01) is running SCVMM 2012 R2 on Windows 2012 R2
It's currently managing 2 Hyper-V hosts:
SRV01 is running Windows Server 2012 R2 - Hyper-V Core
SRV02 is running Windows 2008 R2 Standard with the Hyper-V role
SRV02 is going away eventually, so currently moving VM'S TO SRV01.
I was able to migrate the VM without issue but when attempting to install the guest services; I get the following error:

A Hardware Management error has occurred trying to contact server MGMT01.DOMAIN.LOCAL :w:InternalError :HRESULT 0x8033811e:The WS-Management service cannot process the request. The WMI provider returned an 'invalid parameter' error. .

WinRM is running on MGMT01 and I'm running the VMM console as a domain admin. Firewalls have been disabled on management server and both hosts.
What else should I be looking at?

I attempted to create a new VM and was met with the same error but I'm able to create a VM using Hyper-V manager.

Cisco ISE Guest Authentication Failed : 86020: Unknown exception

I would like to check what may be causing the error message 86020:unknown exception for ise when guest user authenticates via wireless using CWA? I have also attached a screen capture of the error and after the authenitcation logs change to autheorization only succeed after a repeated trying. Based on user feedback for failed login, When guest user gets conected to wirless and login in to guest portal with credential after putting credential then its again redirect to same login page wihout successful login prompt; not too sure if there may be any settings that may be looked into and the reason for the unknown exception error?

Not too sure if i understand on the static hostname for redirection; there are 2 PSNs for the deployment however they are acting as active/secondary for the wireless (This is done from the wlan on the wlc to set the primary/secondary radius server). From the guest redirection; it is always hitting the primary radius server defined on the wlan/wlc. The ise is running version 1.1.4 with patch 8 applied.
Not too sure if there may be any settings that may be looked into for the guest authentication/redirection and the reason for the unknown exception error?

HTTP Probe support for ISE guest service

Hi all,
I am currently trying out the guest feature of the ISE and I noticed that clients won't get probed via HTTP when accessing the guest portal and I am curious why? The WLC is currently running version 7.0.116.0 and thus is only able to support Local Web Authentication.
I configured the Layer 3 authentication of the SSID to use External Web Authentication with the link https://ISE:8443/guestportal/Login.action where ISE is the domain name of the appliance. I also ensured to use the MAC address as the Calling-Station-ID.
I successfully get to the portal, but when I check on the endpoint afterwards, no user agent is recorded.
Is there any way to instruct the ISE to fetch this information via local web auth?

we have a demo shipped with BPEL PM (samples/demos/SalesForce...) that shows how to use the API .. I believe this transport props should be fully transparent and should NOT affect the BPEL engine at all..

Business service failed to insert the data in DB2

Hi I have developed a business service through OSB and deployed in to SOB in my local. The business service is trying to insert data in to DB2 table where the primary key column is auto generated in DB2.
When i am testing the business service, in the XML i have removed that tag out of it and tried the execute the service and I end up with the following error. Please let me know where I am going wrong in this.

I am assuming that the primary key that you were referring to is the SEARCH_ID.
Caused by java.sql.BatchUpdateException: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/LINUXX8664] SQL0798N A value cannot be specified for column "SEARCH_ID" which is defined as GENERATED ALWAYS. SQLSTATE=428C9Looks like when you generated the JCA DBAdapter WSDL, all the columns were selected. And hence the insert queries that were generated to be used by the JCA DBAdapter have this field.
Can you reconfigure the DBAdapter with a custom query to insert in to the table, without the primary key column selected. This should resolve your issue.
If this still does not solve your issue. Lets start to debug further by capturing the exact SQL query being executed.
Enable the debug mode for the JCA framework. Edit the alsbdebug.xml file in the domain directory and set the category alsb-jca-framework-adapter-debug flag to true. Then restart the servers.

Urgent pls : sftp proxy service failing to get the file

I have a proxy service polling for a file . I have setup the service on test environment , where it works fine . When i deploy the same code with only change is the Managed server target for polling , as the production server is clustered .

Nop... The poller gets the file, but then publishes in a distributed queue, which means that any managed server can process it. Therefore, they need acesss to a shared file system.

My website renders completely differently depending on the browser

The website http://MycoTechCorp.com renders beautifully in Chrome most of the time. In Firefox, (25.0.1) panels are completely mismatched, and some text just randomly does not show up. Internet Explorer (10) has the same problems as Firefox. It seems to me that a program like Muse would be optimized for all the main browsers.

If you click and drag down the bottom right corner of the white textbox on the page, you will see that it does two things-
1. It expands the grey box that houses that white textbox.
2. It pushes down the red box that sits at the bottom of grey box while staying aligned with the bars on left.
This is the kind of setup you would need to take control of the alignment of bars on your site's pages.
Currently you have used 6 independent boxes with different colors to achieve the effect and this independence is what is causing the issue.
As Zak explained about the way different browsers handle text differently (which you can test by checking the Reishi page in Firefox and Chrome) the issue is that since all your rectangles are sitting independently, not caring about the others, when a browser asks for more room for text, the big grey box complies since the textframe is within that grey box. The light red box below the grey box also gives way since you have placed it right below the grey box. However the ones on left are not affected by this expansion and hence keep their size.
You can get around that issue by using 3 rectangles (instead of 6) and carefully placing them one above the other (making sure they don't overlap). As for the bars on the left, you can use 1 or 2 pixel high and 30 pixel wide images (of required color) as fill for the 3 rectangles - just set the Fitting to "Tile Vertically" and Position as top-left corner.

My Text Moves Position Depending on the Browser I Use

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my text to stay put in
different browsers. For the text on my left side buttons, I've been
placing the text in an APdiv and centering the text on the button.
It stays put in IE, but the APdiv moves to the top of the button
(table cell) in Mozilla and to the bottom of the button (table
cell) in Safari.
I tried using the CSS Rule Definition window to place the
APdiv in an absolute "top" position and I'm still having the
same problem.
I read the section on absolute positioning on
Dreamweaver CS3 The Missing Manual but nothing I've read has
really helped and like I said, I already tried absolute
positioning.
I'm new at this and the site I'm working on is for my class
final and I'm really trying to get it right. I'm only good with
basic coding, so if your helpful answer includes code, please be
very specific about where to place it in he code section of the
page.
I haven't uploaded my actual site yet, but I have an image of
the home page holding my place. You can view it
here. The buttons are placed as
rollover images inside a table and the text I'm using in the APdiv
on top of that is not the text that appears on the buttons (had
issues and decided to go simple with DWs fonts - used the set
Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif).
I'm working on a PC running Windows XP Media Ed. w/ SP2 if
that makes any difference. And I"m using DW CS3.
Please help ASAP - the site is due Wed. 12/12.

We need to see the CSS as well as the page layout to offer
some suggestions.
The problem is definitely with the Absolutely Positioned DIVS
(Layers), but
it could be anything from different browsers default margins
to invalid code

Is it possible to make the ISE guest server redundant ?

Hi,
We've an ISE cluster of two ISE nodes.
The ISE guest server works fine on the primairy ISE node.
MAC address of the guest client is set in the map 'GuestDevices' after accepting the AUP policy.
The the ISE sents the COA and the client authenticates again and is punt in the guest vlan.
But when the primairy ISE is offline, I see the guest portal AUP page on the secondairy ISE node.
I can accept the AUP policy, and I get an error message.
On the secondairy ISE I see that the COA to the switch is sent, to clear the session to the primairy ISE....
But the COA request should ask to clear the session to the secondairy ISE ( the primairy ISE is offline ).
Should it be possible to configure the ISE guest functionality redundant in an ISE cluster?

•Self registration is not allowed
•Device Registration is not allowed
•The AUP is shown at every login even if first login is selected
