ISE wifi profile editable?

Hello,
We have implemented BYOD with certificates with ISE 1.1.2. After registering the device and installing the certificates for the devices, a network profile is applied that makes the susequent connections to the same ssid use EAP-TLS.
All works as intended, the single problem is that, in order to access the internet, the user should set his proxy manually.
Is there a way to edit the wifi profiles applied by adding a proxy setting?
Thanks in advance!

If your existing network topology requires you to use a proxy for Cisco ISE, to access external resources (like www.perfigo.com, the remote download site where you can find client provisioning and
posture-related resources), you can use the Cisco ISE user interface to specify proxy properties.

you might be able to block it if the app uses Internet access

• WiFi Profile keeps getting disabled

I'm always having issues where the WiFi profile gets disabled.
My school has a number of access points all with the same connection info and so I should be able to connect onto all the different access points seemlessly, however, it seems to get disabled a lot especially when I'm in an area of poor reception, or when I'm moving from one access point to another. It is extremely frustrating because I have to keep manually clicking on the profile, and then re-enabling it. I already have "Allow inter access point handovers" enabled. I've tried with IP 6 on and off, doesn't make a difference. I had the same issue on my Playbook as well. There are a number of other people having problems as well as seen here on CrackBerry.http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-10-os-f269/saved-wifi-network-keeps-disabling-itself-774078/ As people have mentioned, this is likely due to the algorithm used by BlackBerry to prevent battery drain, but clearly it's causing the connection to stay dead. Especially for connections that have ever connected successfully, it would be good for the phone to keep trying every 5 or 10 minutes, or maybe try and figure out what cell-towers might be connected to the WiFi so if you are within a certain area, it will know to keep trying. For the mean time, there should definitely be an option in the menu to quickly and easily re-enable the wifi profile.(e.g. with the long press/right side menu, or maybe even have an option at the bottom of the profile list.)

• Windows 7 802.1x wifi profile issue with cached credentials

We have a wireless network that is setup as WPA2-Enterprise AES using 802.1x. We have a user that is constantly having his account locked out. When we trace where it's coming from, it's from our
radius server (which is only used for this one wireless network). We have already deleted the profile and recreated it. If we uncheck the option to remember the username/password, and enter that manually at prompt, it connects fine. As soon as we check that
option back, it fails and will keep failing and eventually lock out his acocunt. We have recreated his user profile and the wifi profile with no luck. I've done the following http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/15574/how-do-i-clear-cached-credentials-from-my-windows-profile
but to no avail. There are no credentials listed when I go this route. Can someone shed light as to where it is hiding these credentials?

Hi
Maybe change settings on RADIUS server to allow more than 5 successive login attempts.
If you look at the windows security log on the radius server can you see if it giving errors of bad username or password?
Hope this helps. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

• 802.1X WiFi profiles

Hi,
I recently upgraded my Late 2011 Macbook Pro 17" to the 10.7.3 and since my WiFi profiles have disappeared. The reason I set up profiles is because I have to go via a proxy at work, and at home my router connects straight to the internet.
I have imported the profiles again and Lion seems to use everything except the proxy settings. The profiles were created using iPhone Configuration Utility 3.5 and they work perfectly on my iPhone.
I have reset the PRAM and SMC and also reinstalled the combo update for 10.7.3.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue, or how to make the make switch between using the proxy and not, without me having to do anything?
Thanks

• Administrative credentials when adding a WEP/WPA/WPA2 Enterprise wifi profile?

Hello,
Why do users need to provide administrative credentials when they install a configuration profile containing installation of a WEP Enterprise or WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Wifi-profile? This is not the case when installing a Wifi-profile usning standad WEP, WPA or WPA2.
Is this a bug? It confuses users with user profiles when they need to confirm the installation with administrative credentials.

I don't know the answer to your question. Maybe you can find something here:

Yes, ISE 1.2 can used this feature if it is used with Merridian or Ironmobile integration. and This is still in Road Map.

I wish I knew what you meant, but in order to sync with icloud you just need to sign in on both devices.
Settings- icloud- sign in with your apple id and verify it syncs. Try to read a bit more about what it syncs to manage your own expectations.

• Q10 WIFI profile problems

Third time this week my BBQ10 has asked me to re enter my WIFI code for my home BT WIFI. Its loses the settings from my Saved WIFI profiles and I have to start again. Its getting a little tiring now. Not just restricted to work either, same happens with work settings at clients premises with their WIFI too. Any simple solutions please?

Hey Matt1
Friends remember to save the wireless networks in your blackberry Q10, as also that of your job, then this verifies that the options of wi-fi networks are stored so that when you connect you can just turn wi-fi option .
And automatically connects to the nearest network.

• IOS WiFi profile

I have deployed a WiFi profile to an iOS device which for whatever reason doesn't work. I now need to remove it as it is preventing me from joining our corporate WiFi through the traditional method. Technet advises that removing the deployment (which
i have) will not remove the profile and that it must be removed manually. However, in the profile section i do not have the option to do this. Any ideas without having to remove the entire management profile?
On a separate note, when changing a setting in the configuration item is anyone else finding that they are waiting for hours for the change to be reflected on the device if at all?

I know this is old but I’m trying to clean up old posts. Did you ever solve this? If so it would be good if you could post the solution to assist others. If not, at this stage,
as nobody has answered, I would recommend that you call Intune support.
You will find your local Intune support number here

• Wifi profile being disabled

Hardware: Z10 STL100-3
OS 10.0.10.85
Have noticed that when my Z10 is unable to connect to Wifi the profile is automatically disabled, and I have to manually re-enable it. This happens both at work and at home where the failure to connect is temporary (if I manually re-enable the profile and hit "Connect" it connects).
Is thre any way to prevent the OS from automatically disabling the Wifi profile, or at least let me chose whether to or not? My guess is "No" or "not yet" since there's a long-running forum thread on this exact same issue over on CrackBerry and no solution has been posted yet. Just thought I'd try over here just in case...

Hi colinwu and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
Does the Wi-Fi network appear as one of your saved networks? Does this happen with all of Wi-Fi networks?
Thanks.

• WIFI-Profile

Hello,
i have to install a WIFI-Profile on several iPhones in our company.
To auhenticate our users we use PEAP with cryptic password with a length about 40 characters.
I'm working with the iPhone configuration-tool.
Do you know whether there is a possibility to configure these accounts completly including passwords on pc?
Regards.

Well! from june 2013 through may 2014 people asked for a solution. Thousands of people came to this topic and went disappointed for not being able to find a solution. And here today Feb 2015 I am replying to the same post and confirm that this issue is still there with z10. Even I face the same thing.
I Wonder why not even a single blackberry technical guy came to this topic and viewed our concern. Among all those thousand people who visited this topic not even a single blackberry technical guy saw this?

• Wifi Profiles with PreShared Key

Hey everyone,
I have a client with some pretty basic requirements that would like to see from SCCM/Intune. One of those is the ability to deploy WPA2-PSK Wireless profiles to newly enrolled Intune devices (iOS, Android, and WP8). They would like to deploy
the PSK as part of this process so they don't have to hand out the key to everyone. I see there isn't a way in the interface to configure a WPA profile with the PSK. Does anyone know if this possible any other way?
If not I guess unless your not broadcasting your SSID, what would be the advantage of deploying a WPA-PSK WiFi profile versus the user just selecting the SSID and clicking connect themselves from whatever device they are on? Maybe I am missing something?
Thanks!

Hi,
No you are correct it is currently not possible.. The only benefit of deploying the WIFI profile is that the device will connect to it automatically but still you would have to enter the password.

• Wifi profiles SCCM 2012 R2 and Windows Intune

Hi All,
A quick question regarding SCCM 2012 R2 and the new Wifi Profiles feature...
Can anyone confirm if you need windows Intune combined with SCCM 2012 R2 to be able to deploy WIFI profiles to users devices i.e Windows 8.1, IOS and Android platforms? Microsoft documentation is not clear on this subject.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards PowerShell90

It not as straight forward as one would hope. I am running the latest version of SCCM 2012 R2 CU2 connected to my Windows Intune subscription. There are a lot of hickups. One is that the direct of management needs to be all or nothing. In other words you
either need to use Windows Intune solely to manage your devices or SCCM 2012 R2 (via connector). If the later then you must do everything from in SCCM 2012 R2. You cannot hybrid manage your devices as this will screw things up.
Android for some reason is left out on a lot of features. I would think that MS Devs would work hard on the market share that being Android, not iOS. Any way, accord to some official MS articles Android is supported, but others claim that not all features
are, these being the important ones like Email and Wi-Fi Profiles. They simply do not work.
I think MS is heading in the right direction but there is a lot of work that needs to be done before this is a competitive product. I could care less if connects to my SCCM 2012 R2 server or not. Here are few things that I sent o a MS Support Rep today that
need to be address.
1. Better response time when updating devices after enrollment (e.g. Name change).
2. The ability to locked down uninstalling Windows Intune from device.
3. The ability to locked down certain features in the Windows Intune app on device (e.g. User can reset device with Windows Intune app, rename, etc...).
4. Ability to rename device in either Windows Intune Admin Portal and/or SCCM 2-12 R2.

MacBook Pro that my Airport Express WiFi profile was created crashed. Can i reset the Airport Express either to an iPad or Windows 7 computer?

Get the Airport Utility for the your iPad from the App store. You will need to know the password for the Airport Express (not the WiFi password) to access the AE. The iPad utility will, I think, do all of the actions to control your AE.
You can reset the AE back to factory default but with the iPad app you should not ned to.
