ISE with Trend Micro OfficeScan supported version

Hi.
My customer have plan to install ISE with Trend Micro OfficeScan 10.5 as NAC solution.
I confirmed below supported AV/AS Products list.
Server side Trend Micro OfficeScan Corporate Edition 10.x is not included.
But Client side Trend Micro OfficeScan Client 10.x is incduled.
What this means?

SCCM Endpoint Protection Removal of Trend Micro OfficeScan v10 assistance

Hi,
I just thought i might ask this,
i see that Endpoint Protection has the ability to uninstall "Trend Micro OfficeScan"
We have "Trend Micro OfficeScan 10", we have protected ours with a password,
i would just like to know when i deploy the Endpoint Agent if it still has the ability to uninstall it altough it has a password connected to it
or would i need to manually uninstall it,
On big issue i have is that the password is one of 25 passwords also.
any assistance will do on this.

It should be able to uninstall TrendMicro. The best thing is to test it against a collection with a few devices. You can control the SCEP installation by creating a custom client setting and deploy that to a test collection - it doesn't have to be a big

Trend Micro Officescan crashes MAX Settings

Hello,
we use Trend Micro Officescan on our testmachines. With office scans last update the Measurement and Automation Explorer forgets all alias name of LXI and USB devices, when the computer is rebooted. With import the settings image in MAX everthing runs smoothly again. I know that MAX save its settings in something like a database. Are there any known problems withe MAX database and virus scanners?

For the Project Settings, choose Edit>Project Settings, and you can see them all, with the General Tab (most important), Capture (should not affect your Project), Video Rendering (again, should not have much info for you now), and Default Timeline (defines how the Timeline is set up initially, and not of any real use here).
Now, and with the Source Files and Project on your E:\, or your external HDD, how much free-space is on your C:\. That can be very important, especially as with only 2GB RAM, you WILL be using your Windows Page File (Virtual Memory) often, and heavily.
Now, though this is covered in one of the links in the PrE Crashing & Hanging article (Memory & Resources), how is your Page File managed, and is it located on your C:\?
Also, is your Project file (the PREL) located with the Source Files, on either E:\, or your external HDD? I know that you have tried several locations. Also, where are your Scratch Disks (Edit>Preferences) set to? Those can be very large, and if one has them pointed to a nearly full HDD, can crash things.
Last, at least for now, is your F:\ your external HDD? If so, it is formatted FAT-32, and that limits file sizes to ~ 4GB. This ARTICLE will tell you how to Convert a FAT-32 HDD to NTSF.

When we installed Firefox 4.0, found it is not compatible with Trend Micro. How can I go back to the older version of Firefox until Trend builds a compatible version??

On add-ons manager, I see that Trend Micro NSC Firefox Extention 6.5.0.1234 is not compatible with Firefox 4.0.1. I have contacted Trend and been told that their builders have not yet created a product that is compatible. I think this means that I should revert to an older version of Firefox until my internet security is updated. How do I do this? I'm clueless. :) Or, is there a better solution?

Release 4 is not compatible with Trend Micro Virus Software. I need to go back to the former release. How do I do that?

Need instructions for de-installing release 4. Or, do I need to completely remove Mozilla and start over?

1. First Uninstall Firefox 4.0 Using the Add and Remove Programs function found in control panel. Make sure not to delete your personal settings while uninstalling.

3. Install Firefox 3.6 and you will be back to the old version.

Has anyone ever configured TrendMicro OfficeScan to send logs to an external log server? i cannot find the settings nor any documentation anywhere!

Either downgrade to the previous secure version of Firefox which is 3.6.17, or change your antivirus program.
Avast is free and just as good as Trend Micro, if not better: http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download
To downgrade, do the following: 
#Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.17] and download it to the desktop. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.

Cisco ACS / Trend Micro Office / Cisco Trust Agent

We currently utilize Cisco ACS Server and Trend Micro OfficeScan and would like to deploy Cisco Trust Agent 2.0 on a few laptops. Has anyone been involved with such a deployment? If so, any suggestions, documentation, suggestions?

CTR uses the admin shares to connect to a windows server.
Depending on how you configured it: It will try a nmap fingerprint scan, use static OS mappings or perform a level 2 scan by using the admin shares.
If you are using it through firewalls, the fingerprinting does not work properly.
You will also notice that since version 2.0.3 there hasn't been any new agents developed for it. Also 2.0.5 started to upgrade all port scans etc whereas before it didn't.
I would look to speaking to your cisco account team about the next version of Cisco IPS instead.

Safari and trend micro web site filter not working

IE blocks web sites as defined by my web site filter in trend micro (pcillin) however, sites such as **** are not blocked when using safari. It is as if Safari is bypassing my firewall. Should I be concerned and how do I fix this.

Can it be configured to scan smtp traffic for a default single box installation of OCS 10g on Red Hat Linux with the smtp configured at port 25 ?

I'm not sure trend micro is supported. But I guess you could configure it to act as a messaging gateway in front of oracle smtp, as we do with other products.

Trend Micro Blocking worldsecuresystems

I have a computer that came with Trend Micro Software (anti-virus) installed. Today I manually typed in an address as http://site.worldsecuresystems.com but I forgot the "s" in https. To my surprise I was told this site was blocked due to malicious content and was dangerous. I was curious at this point and tried other BC sites using the worldsecuresystems domain without the "s". Every BC site I have tried without the s it blocks. If I put the s in it works.
I filed a request with Trend Micro asking them to reclassify my domain. I wanted to let BC and others know that this is an issue.

The new version says it won't support Trend Micro; am i without protection from trend in this case?

I use Trend Micro as my internet protection. I downloaded the newest version of Firefox and am getting the message when i list my add on(s) that it is not supported by the newest version. Does this mean when I use my Firefox browser i am completely unprotected by my Trend program? I appreciate any help possible and willingly acknowledge I am fairly stupid about these things.
