My quick look did not find any drivers, but as stated in the first link that the search returned,
  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISight#iSightonWindows
a working external (Firewire) iSight should be auto-detected, at least by Vista.
Although I no longer use Windoze, I have seen reports in Apple Discussions that Windows will recognize the Firewire iSight's camera. However, the microphone is different. I have never seen any verified report that Windows can connect to iSight's great microphone. While that may have changed in Vista or Win7, it seems to me that the only way to take full advantage of external iSight's full capability is to use it on a Firewire equipped Mac.
FWIW, while answering researching for this answer, I came across this blog that might be of interest:

If all else fails, the simpler approach may be to buy a Windows-compatible USB webcam. They come in great variety of prices (and features.)

  • Need bootable external Firewire drive for iMac G5

I need an external Firewire drive for an iMac G5 PC with OSX leopard that I can format to be BOOTABLE.  Don't know where to buy one or even if they're available.  I've bought 3 different drives on eBay, thinking each was what I needed, and none were.
    I'm frustrated.
    Would appreciate. Any helpful info.

    I use this one:

  • Firewire drivers for Canon i9900???

I had firewire drivers for my Canon i9900 for Leopard (10.5) but upon upgrading to Snow Leopard (10.6) the Mac wouldn't see the printer anymore. I read someone mentioning to try a USB cord for someone in the same situation and, presto, the Mac saw it -- but I prefer using the firewire port (if only to free up a USB port).
Isn't that standard to include firewire support in the drivers? Do I need a special driver?

    Update: 10/08/09
FW driver causes printer to hang endlessly without apparent reason. Print cue will show "printing" but nothing happens. Turning the printer off and on again, sometimes several times will usually get it to finally print.
Neither the FW or USB drivers seem to support edge to edge printing anymore, a feature Canon bragged about on this printer and one I depend upon; Letter Extra and Tabloid Extra have disappeared from the dialog box and choosing borderless printing has no affect and the extent slider is grayed out. Furthermore the non-print area around the paper edge seems to have gotten wider with these new drivers, all and all making this printer next to useless to me. Is this Canon's way of telling us they don't really support this printer anymore?
I'm back to the USB driver, which at least prints, after I watch the spinning beachball for 20 seconds. Anyone figured out how to get edge to edge to work?

  • Question vis Motherboard drivers for Vista

I note that Nvidia have released Graphics Drivers for Vista 97.46
When I looked at the Platform drivers they were only for Windows XP/2000.
I will be moving over to Windows Vista Home Premium this weekend.
Will the 9.16 drivers I use so far, work.
    Thanks in advance.

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_570a_sli_winvista32_15.00.html
I found this on the Nvidia Download page of their website.
The driver is for Nforce 570SLI/570/550.
However when you read below the main heading it says WHQL for 570SLI.
    It is for Vista 32bit.
Could anybody tell me if this driver package will conflict with my Motherboard.? ???
    Thanks in advance.

  • I dont have my leopard disk, where can i find bootcamp drivers for vista?

i just bought a used macbook pro. the man i bought it from didnt have his leopard disk. i installed vista 32 last night succesfuly but none of the features work because i dont have the leopard disk to download the oppropriate drivers. does anybody know where i can download the bootcamp drivers for vista 32 without having to buy the leopard disk?

i just bought a used macbook pro. the man i bought it from didnt have his leopard disk.
Hopefully, he gave you a $130 discount off the price, since you're going to have to buy a new Leopard disk. You should never have a machine without a system disk for it, since you'd be unable to recover without one if something went wrong. I don't know if you'll need it for those bootcamp drivers, but you will need it sooner or later.
(Technically, what he did is illegal... if he didn't give you the disk, he should not have given you a machine with the system installed. You're also in a bad legal position, by using a system that you do not own a copy of.)

  • Tecra M7 - Where can I get drivers for Vista x64 or Windows 7 x64?

    Hello,
I have a nice M7 tablet and I have to admit that despite all the problems on the hardware I like the notebook however toshiba is quite sad, and they never released any 64bit drivers for windows vista or windows 7 so what am I supposed to do? toshiba does not provide support for this computer seriously.
like toshiba is really absurt, last year I contacted them about a problem with my digitizer, dust was getting in between the plasstic and the LCD through the latch on top and they told me that they will format my computer and all viruses will be gone??? I was like, I dont want a format, physical dust is getting in my screen....
just because it is a discontinued model doesnt mean they can stop providing driver updates for the system.
It is a 64bit cpu, it supports 4 GB of ram, it is a tablet pc yes the hardware is probably 4 years old or more but still it is the best tablet I have ever used, I paid 2000+ USD (Tecra models are business models or they used to be) and toshiba is not providing drivers..........
Dont tell me to install 32bit win7 or vista, that makes no sense, I have 4 GB of ram, I have a 64bit cpu but a 32bit os that is totally bs too
Anyone know where I can find drivers, when I call tech support they tell me to ....

    Hi
First of all I agree with you that Tecra notebooks are expensive and are business notebooks but you shouldnt forget that on 32bit OS the most applications are running properly and some older applications they are necessary in business sometimes not running properly on 64bit OS.
So I think for business 32bit OS is fast enough because you use 3.2 GB RAM that you should be enough if you dont play new 3D games.
Of course it would be nice to have 64bit drivers but you can collect http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/ it yourself. The most Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7 so you should look for Vista drivers.
Here are some examples where you can search:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
    Good luck!

  • Can't download drivers for Vista

I've tried downloading the drivers for my HP2610 all in one printer to my laptop which is still running Vista. Every time I get an error that the file was deleted because it contains a virus. The error comes from Windows, but I can't determine what part of security is deleting the file. Ordered drivers on CD & order was canceled without notice. Any suggestions other than upgrading my operating system?

Is this the file which is giving to the error?

  • External Firewire Buss For Macbook Pro?

Im involved in audio and im running an A/D converter via my FW400 that is a bit annoying as it seems to dislike networking other hardware over the same buss (i found this out after buying an external HD, connecting it via the FW800 and whenever it would read from the disk the system would crash and demand a restart.)
im planning on buying a piece of DSP hardware that runs off FW400 that will need to run simultaneously alongside the A/D Converter) i figured i would need a seperate firewire buss too do this..but how would i go about that when using a macbook pro? and would i have to install it in the computer or could i run it externally?
    thanks for your help

  • No drivers for N200 win7!!!!!

Hello, today I installed a new version of W7 on my laptop, I was running beta before. When I downloaded sistem update it did not found any drivers, so I tried to look for them manualy but no luck either. For the time being I instaled some vista drivers to get things going, but what is this all about?

Win 7 has most of the drivers you will need built in,
or available through windows update. And Vista drivers
should work for the rest, sound for instance.
One you may need is the Ricoh card reader driver,
found on THIS page. (Device Manager will show unknown
    Base System Device.)
What's it all about? A laptop that was designed for Vista,
before Win 7 was around. Can't expect laptop makers to
support all older models with newest OS.

  • External Firewire Drives for FCP?

Will any external Firewire hard drive work for FCP that is 7200 rpm? If not, what kinds are recommended?
This is not for capture; just for editing .MOV files.

I have one of the G-RAID 500MB units and it's worked well - handles 10bit
uncompressed with no problems. I did get tired of the LaCie 1TB array
overheating and dying - sent it in for repair once but when it started going sour
again I went off to http://www.cooldrives.com/copr0fi80ald.html and bought
two of them, moved the 4 drives from the LaCie over and life's been good ever
since. Those enclosures are very similar to the G-Tech enclosures.
    http://www.cooldrives.com/copr0fi80ald.html - Oxford 912 bridge board (same
as the LaCie and I believe the G-RAID). Get 50+MB/s - 10bit uncompressed work well. For grins&giggles I put one enclosure on each of the two 1394b cards I have in the G5 and raid-0'd them together - got up around 108MB/s
via firewire. Not bad at all

  • FIREWIRE DRIVERS for G5. Unknown Device Message

    Number Of CPUs: 2
    CPU Speed: 2 GHz

    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 1 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: 5.1.8f7
    Please Help./

Hi. Well - Apple FireWire "trouble-shooting" is here
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303598
but I would check the website of the device manufacturer for up-to-date drivers - and possibly try a FireWire reset, bottom of the page here
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=88338
If none of this works, re-installing the combo OS X update may help. (Personally - I disconnect all FireWire devices while updating - I still remember the amusing 10.3.6 incident...)
    Good Luck.
