Isight problem like thousand of other users !!!

I don't believe it but I am having the same problem like many other users. I am getting my masters in computer science next year and I know how to handle a computer, just to make this clear.
What makes me really mad is that many other users are struggling with the same problem as I do, but there is no help coming from apple, as it seems to be.
So anyway, my problem is that my webcam on my macbook pro works for a few minuits or sometimes for a few seconds, then I have this **** black screen, but the led is green.
If I do the pmu or whatever it is called, the camera works sometimes again, but as I have written, sometimes for a few minuits/ seconds, then it stops .
Since I searched the web or this forum here, there are so many guys complaining about the same problem, but seriously, did everybody go to the service ?
I just bought my notebook three months ago, but this problem seems to be familiar for at least two or three years now. This problem should have been fixed by now. !
Any suggestion ? Maybe someone solved the problem and would like to share his idea :)?

Apologies, I don't have the issue (but I do have a Masters degree in computational science) - does the screen go black, or just very, very, very dark, ie. if you turn all the lights on, do you get anything one the screen.
Trying to establish if the exposure metering is wrong, or if it's a physical issue with the camera (in which case you can have this fixed under AppleCare).
Which applications are you using when the isight loses it ?
Are you using any of the quartz effects ?

Problems trusting certificates from other users

I'm unable to trust certificates from users when the email address on their certificate does not precisely match the From address of the message. The mismatch is typically something like a From address of [email protected] and a certificate address of doe.john.12345.
Mail says "Unable to verify message signature" when I select the message. I click "Show Details" followed by "Show Certificate". I then get an option to check "Messages from xxx are valid if signed by yyy", which I do followed by clicking "OK".
The yellow "Unable verify message signature" bar stays in place. Repeating the above process shows that the the option to trust the validity is again unchecked. However, in the area with certificate, it lists that the certificate is trusted for the email address in the From field.
Any idea what's going on here?

I should add that this happens when using certs that were signed with a CAC. I have an ORC ECA cert.

ITunes installation problem, like so many others apparently

I tried to install iTunes but got an error message about ISScript being too old. I reinstalled versions 7, 8, & 9 from the InstallShield website and tried again. Same thing. I then tried the steps listed on http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976 but no luck there either. On the first step, "Completely Remove iTunes and Quicktime," I got an error during the Add/Remove of iTunes about some string not found. Being tired of the whole mess at this point, I didn't record the exact error message, but selected what seemed to be the best option. I think it was something like "go ahead and completely remove the application." Anyway, I got another "string name not found" error. End result, I can't even remove whatever part of iTunes has been installed so that I can try and start over.
Help?

ISight won't work for other user

My wife and I have seperate user IDs on the same machine. For me the isight works perfectly with ichatAV and with iMovie. But for my wife though the camera works fine with iMovie only the sound will work with ichat. She gets the message "your camera is being used by another app" even when she's just booted it up with no start up apps. We both have admin rights. can anyone help?

Netpoint 5.96 Catalog security problem - Anyone can see other users catalog

I just had a revelation regarding the security of the catalogs.
Anyone wise enough to realize that adding ?Category=x on the address can access the catalogs of any other customers !!!!! BIG BIG PROBLEM
I will soon test if they also get the price list of that other catalog ?
Is there a way to prevent a user from SEEING other catalogs ?

So basically all it does is verify that the logged in Account "owns" the document they are trying to view.
I'm sure there is room for improvement, but at least it may be a place to start for some folks.

Outlook sync problems (like so many others)

i have outlook 2003. each time i check the itunes sync addin it unchecks itself. when i do sync phone with itunes, a window prompts me to accept the changes, but when done syncing, no data is transfered.
is this a solveable problem? i'm only moderately savvy with computers so please speak/type slowly and clearly. thanks to anyone who can help me.

I would like to trace other user's session, I am on Oracle 10g R2 (10.2.0.4) on a Windows box. I did search on google and found tons of articles explaining about tracing techniques. But unfortunately, trace file is not getting generated in my case. Below are the steps I am following:

You must be using shared server.
You can verify this by referring to the SERVER column of v$session.
In shared server several servers will execute your code, so that's why you don't find a trace file.

I can't log on to other user accounts.

Just recently I've had a problem logging on to other user accounts.
I can long on the the master account... but when I try to log on to other accounts I can't past the "initializing" progress bar, it just keeps going.
Anyone have any ideas?

adm is the OPERATING SYSTEM user, you can´t login to the SAP instance with that user.
Check the official IDES installation documentation, you will find there the user to login in client 800.

Basic troubleshooting steps oultlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
You need to go through all steps in succession until your problem is solved. If going through ALL these steps fails to resolve your issue, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

I am logged in as a 'guest' on a computer that is used by others. I would like to totally hide my browsing history by 'resetting safari' but wonder if this will cause problems for the other users....Or does the resetting just apply to the guest?

anything, including resetting, that you do as guest should not affect other users who log into their own accounts. Just logging out of guest should remove the obvious history/cookies etc although of course it's possible for an admin of that computer to keep track of some info.

Problem to load XML SQL Utility into other user

Hi,
I need help to load XML Utility into other user than
"scott"tiger".
I loaded both xmlparser.jar and oraclexmlsql.jar into
"scott/tiger", it works and creating functions and testing work
fine. But when change USER_PASSWORD to another user, it gave me
some errors like

ORA-29506: invalid query derived from USING clause
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

Or did I missed any thing. From the installation instruction, I
cano not find any about creating table or view before I load the
two jar files.

I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open. First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Sourcing Drivers for dongles when upgrading OS is a nightmare whether its osx or windoze. It takes the likes of Huawei ages to produce new versions. I strongly recommend getting a portable wifi (mifi) which will work with any device and sits in your pocket not sticking out the usb port where it gets broken. Recommend Huawei E5756

There is a large thread relating to Gmail, but nothing that sounds like that.
Nobody here knows what Apple is going to do.
You might try removing the Gmail account and then add it back in.
