I AM USING 'Griffen iMic' DEVICE TO CONNECT THE MICROPHONE TO THE MAC BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM USING iSIGHT; EVERY TIME I WANNA RECORD SOMETHING, I GET THIS RATHER ANNOYING BUZZING TREBLING SOUND. I'M NOT SURE WHETHER IT'S THE iSIGHT OR THE iMIC OR EVEN THE CABLE ¿
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT IS?
I HAVE TRIED TURING DOWN THE 'INPUT VOLUME' (IN SOUND SECTION) BUT THAT JUST DISTORTS THE QUALITY.

Try any of these suggestions that you have not already done in any order you think appropriate:
(0) Verify that you have followed the directions in your iMic Quick Start Guide:
   http://www.griffintechnology.com/manuals/0000/0062/iMicQSGuide1_00.pdf
Be sure to set iMic's Mic/Line Level Switch correctly.
(1) See iMic's Product Support: http://www.griffintechnology.com/support/products/imic and any of the articles there that might help you. Here are a few examples, but check the others to see which apply to your system's issue:
Verify your Mac's settings as explained in this article:
  How Do I Use the iMic in GarageBand? (Mac)
Other software may work better with your iMic/mic combination:
  What kind of software can I use with it? (Mac)
Adding a preamp, mixer, or impedance matching transformer may give better results:
  I've plugged in my $150 mic and it doesn't work. (Mac and PC)
(2) Test with no peripherals other than iMic connected to your MBP to eliminate interference from some other device as the possible source of the noise.
(3) Test with your iMic connected to your MBP's other USB to eliminate a problem with one particular USB connector as the possible source of the noise.
(4) Test a different audio input device on both USB ports of your MBP to eliminate your Mac's USB circuitry as the possible source of the noise.
(5) Try your iMic/mic combination on another Mac to eliminate your particular Mac as the possible source of the noise.
(6) Test your Mic, including its On/Off switch on some other audio system to eliminate the mic, its switch, or its cable as the possible sources of the noise.
(7) Try a different iMic with your MBP and mic to eliminate your particular iMic as the possible source of the noise.

    In PSE 10 you can click on Settings on the welcome screen and choose your preference. In earlier versions it’s best to make a desktop shortcut.

    That is the snippet container.
    You can hide that container or set the <b>browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl</b> pref to an empty String on the <b>about:config</b> to make Firefox use some default snippets.

    This is a new feature on the Google results page to allow navigation via the keyboard when Google Instant predictions is enabled.
    This arrow will appear once you use the cursor Up/Down keys.
    You can consider to disable Google Instant predictions on the Google Search Settings page.

  • How to Get Rid of those annoying Updates on Home p...

    How do you get rid of those annoying UPDATES that appear on my Home Page.  In the past I was able to go to VIEW>COMPACT VIEW,then hit DEFAULT then MAXIMIZE and all UPDATES would disappear,infact all ads too and I would only be left with several of my contacts profile pictures at the top.  Today I had to change my Password cause I forgot my password and I cant get rid of those updates PASSWORD TOKEN and PASSWORD SUCCESSFULY CHANGED.  Nothing works to delete these.  Tell me how.  Thanks

    I am thinking Skype doesn't offer that feature. I "Deleted Contacts" and they will not go away on my home page. It is getting to the point of beyond annoying and traumatic. I want them to go away and I have no power to do that on Skype? I emailed Skype and they simply told me to wait. I just posted like 20 status updates myself, thinking there is a limit. I don't see their faces anymore, but the scroll bar just got shorter.
    @Skype... if you are reading this... do another update that allows us to delete annoying home page updates... ESPECIALLY when they are deleted from your contacts!

  • How to get rid of an annoying virus

    Somehow a picture appears in the upper left corner of the address and subject bar of mail that I send. It does not appear when I compose, only when receipients get it. I didn't add the picture, I suspect it came in on something I received. How can I get rid of it so that I don't send a picture of a cat with all my mail. I am not a cat person. I am using version 2.07 of Mail.
    G4   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    Hello,
    It's not a Virus. It's your personal picture that is associated with your User account on your Mac.
    This can be one of the stock pictures, or a personal photograph if you chose one.
    This image should not be visible to people using PC's or other e-mail clients. But, if they are also using Apple Mail and a Mac, then they may see the picture that is associated with your user account.
    There are two methods to remove it or change it:
    Method one:
    Go to the "" menu, then choose "System Preferences".
    Open the "Accounts" preference
    Then, click on the "Pictures" tab.
    You can now change the picture associated with your user account here.
    Click on the Edit button, and you can even drag a real picture of yourself into the box instead.
    Method Two:
    Open up Address Book in your applications folder.
    Choose the Entry in the Address Book that is yourself.
    Then click the edit button near the bottom.
    In edit mode, you can change picture.
    If you don't want any picture, click it, and then hit delete.
    Now, it should not show in any of your Mail messages.
    If you want a different picture, then double-click on it, and use "Choose" button on the resulting screen to pick a different picture, or plug in a camera and use it to take a picture of yourself.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get rid of the annoying Google toolbar on my screens homepage?

    Need help to get rid of the Google toolbar that has appeared on the homepage of my Droid Mini. Others have this phone & other Droids and do not have this stupid thing.

        Hi Shakma,
    We would love to help! The Google Search bar is a default application which means that is not able to be removed. You can use third-party applications via the Google Play store to change the look of the toolbar or to download a different tool bar.

  • How to get rid of the annoying clicking sound of an iPod Touch Keyboard

    I just got an iPod Touch and I love it but I have a small problem with it. I'm really annoyed by the cliking sound the keyboard makes when you type. It's even more annoying that you can hear it without the headphones.
    Is there anyway I can lower down the volume of the clicking? I'd really like some help with this.

    John Guo wrote:
    Go to Settings>General>Sound Effects. Click Off.
    As a note, this will remove all of the sounds effects on the iPod, not just the annoying clicking sound.

  • How to get rid of the annoying question : "Close This Form?" while exiting?

    When trying to exit a form without doing any changes, sometimes the form asks the question : "Close this Form?".

  • Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying pairing request? I have tried everything I can think of.

    It interrupts my work and turns off my external speakers. It seems to have something to do with iTunes.
    Thanks

    Back up all data.
    Although you shouldn't need them, it's a good idea to have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand in case Bluetooth stops working.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    Right-click or control-click the line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Then follow the instructions on this page:
    Bluetooth devices become unresponsive
    Open the Bluetooth preference pane and recreate your settings.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How to get rid of file name that pops up with mouseover?

    When a user is on my website and mouses over a link to another page, the name of that page comes up - for example, if I mouse over the link to the Mums Night Out page (while on the home page) the file name pops up (mumsnightout.html)
    Any idea on how to get rid of that annoying issue?

    Is this question now solved?
    Excuse me if it is, but I am really freaking out about this and don't know what to do.
    I don't want to launch my website before everything is perfect and I really want the yellow-pop-up-box-bstrd to go away.
    I am using this code which works fine in ff and safari but not in ie:
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    function clearTooltip() {
    _links = parent.document.links;
    for (i=0; i<_links.length; i++) {
    _links.setAttribute('title', '');
    chkFooter = setInterval('checkFooter()', 100);
    function checkFooter() {
    if (parent.document.getElementById('footer_layer') != null) {
    clearTooltip();
    clearInterval(chkFooter);
    </script>
    Should I modify it in some way? Any ideas?

  • How to get rid of volume warning?

    Hi!
    I've got a Curve 9320 instead of 8900 recently. And I cannot find how to get rid of that annoying warning about exceeding the recommended volume.
    Every time I tick the checkbox "I understand this warning" and then click on Continue button. And it's OK until the next turn off of the 9320 (I turn it off every night). The next morning it will give that warning again if I will try to increase the volume of music.
    Where I can find an option to switch that warning message off?

    Hey f13bis,
    Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
    Open Media on the BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone and press menu>Options.  Put a checkmark for Audio Boost and accept the terms and press Menu>Save.  Then try to increase the volume.
    Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

    I have a new iPhone 5S.  While trying to learn about it, I accidentally recorded a voice memo with no content.  I cannot now figure out how to get rid of it.  There is a banner across the top of my phone with this memo which I don't want.  I have deleted it from iTunes but cannot get it off the phone.  Help!

    The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.

  • How to get rid of background noise when recording voice on iphone 5 ?

    every time i record a voice over i hear wierd background noise can someone tell me how to get rid of it im using my headphones to record btw

    Go to System Preferences / Sound and click on the Input button. You should see two items listed in the device menu: the Internal Microphone and Line In. (There may be others if you also are using your USB or Firewire ports for input devices.)
    Select Internal Microphone and adjust the Input Volume control to the far left (minimum). This will mute the computer's internal microphone.
    Then select the Line-In (or other device) and adjust the input level as needed to make your recording.
    Good luck.
