ISight shuts off in 30secs and it doesn't recognize my Panasonic PV-GS500
my isight works fine in Cam Twist and other places but when I start to capture it in iMovie it freezes! I can't think of anything else to do. I just made a video a this last week.
Do you have prior experience using this camcorder with a Mac? Unless it has special functionality, it does not act as a web cam (like the iSight camera), where you can see what the camera is currently pointing at on the computer screen. You need to run video editing software, such as iMovie. The software then imports the video you have shot and stored (on the camera), from the camera's tape to the Mac. This is from iMovie Help

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

Make sure that you haven't saved Uppercase and Lowercase versions of that name and password.

3GS IPhone shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 or 3 times a day. The phone stays on but I can't call out or receive calls till I turn the phone off and back on.
I have the same problem with my 2 month old 3GS phone. It will shuts off from incoming and outgoing calls 2 - 3 times every day. I would miss important business calls. And will discover it only when I need to make a call. In this case screen looks normal. I choose contact, go to next screen - call in progress, it also looks normal, but there is no dial tone. Than I would restart the phone, and it will work again, displaying my missing calls, and angry voice messages of my customers, which trying to reach me. Please help us solve this problem (or maybe it is time to exchange my 3GS for a new one?)

I am trying to update my iTunes so I can sync my new iphone 5s and it doesn't recognize the phone, apple support said I need to update my iTunes when I try and do that I get an error message that says " the ITunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection or try back later.
My internet works fine and I have tried back dozens of times with same result.Did you ever figure out the problem? "Contact Software Manufacturer"?? That sounds ominous... I've got the same issue and I'm pretty durn aggravated right about now....

Apple drives in MacBooks do not support mini DVDs. They cannot be injected or ejected properly. Some of them work in tray-loaders like on the Mac Pro.
