Hi, My HT-CT80 turns off every 15 minutes when connected to any bluetooth device. Is that the auto standby feature? If its connected to a bluetooth device, I guess it is receiving input? Any suggestions please?

You may try resetting your device.

  • Iphone 4 turn off every few min

I bought a new iphone 4 and I immediatly found out that it turns off every few min and startup again by it self ..
    I don't know if it's a hardware or a software problem !
and I travled away from the country which I bought it from
    what can I do ???

even i am facing this problem from last 1 month and the only answer i receive is get it replaced from Apple. I can't understand what people like us should do as we don't have this warranty. Also i have seen end no of iphone users having the same problem but there is no answer from Apple as how come new iphone's that is also in such large nos are having this unique problem of getting restarted in 3 to 4 minutes. It is for sure that they know there is something is wrong with their product and thats why they replace as soon as customer complains but what people like us will do if they don't have warranty....I think atleast Apple should tell us what the exact problem is????????????????????????????????????

  • Finally i got my brand new iphone 5c and i was so happy until i plugged in the head phones    siri goes off every minute its driving me insane please fix this soooon!!! Im waiting

When i got my new iphone 5c i updated it when there was a update and it was fine until i plugged in the headphone that i got with the phone siri goes off every minute?!! Something i dont even use or need goes off every minute
I tried to disable siri but the it did the same thing with voice control please make an option to disable all these things because i never use siri but there it is going off without being called upon please fix sooooon!!!!

It sounds as if the button in the headphones is stuck and that is what is doing it. In the one wire of the headphones is a button to activate Siri. It is very possible something is wrong with that. Does the phone activate Siri all the time when the headphones are not plugged in? The headphones have the same warranty as the phone. Take the device with the headphones back to the Apple store and they can replace them.

  • ISight Turns Off, Must Unplug Firewire

    Hello:
I keep my iSight turned off (i.e., lens cap closed, green light off) when I'm not video chatting. I turn it on before initiating each chat or responding to an invitation.
Lately, iSight has been doing a strange thing when I turn it on. It initially works (i.e., green light on, my image on screen), then it dies (green light off, image frozen). No matter how many times I twist and untwist the ring to turn it on and off, it remains frozen.
The only solution I've found is to unplug, then replug, the Firewire at the back of my Mac Mini. This always brings iSight back to life.
Any clues as to why my iSight behaves this way? I assume that it shouldn't.
FYI...I use SightSpeed as my video chat service (**** "XXX will not respond" problem!), but I don't see why that would be the cause.
    Thanks for any comments.
    Sal

... SightSpeed ... but I don't see why that would be the cause.I do not know why either. Perhaps it is a Possible hardware or software conflicts with another third party component of your system?
Have you recently performed Mac OS X maintenance? If not, try it now, and see if your problem abates.
Have you checked with the SightSpeed Support site for help? If the problem relates to your third party application, their FAQs or Help / Technical Support services should be able to give you suggestions.
The suggestions in Apple's What to do if your computer won't recognize a FireWire device kBase Article may help you if your problem relates to your Firewire ports or to an internet connection that may be holding onto port settings when you shut your iSight off.
If you think the problem might be with your iSight itself, you can check your iSight using the suggestion in How to test your iSight to ensure it is functional.

  • My 2009 Macbook Pro turns off every 5-15 minutes

Yeah, the problem started happening a couple of months ago, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I found that if I were to turn it off nightly it would behave better. It was fine for a while, but as of late it will shut off about every 5-15 minutes. It was getting finiky too, if someone bumped the desk funny it would turn off. I tried resetting the SMC but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.
Any ideas? I've thought about doing a clean install of the OS again, but it seems like it might be a hardware problem, so that probably wouldn't work.

I would suggest making an appointment at the nearest Apple Store Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider. What you are describing seems to show a problem with hardware.
To make an Genius Bar appointment check:
    http://apple.com/retail/geniusbar
To find your nearest Apple Service Provider check the link below and then click the "Service" box. There you will be able to put your location.

It might not hurt to run the Apple Hardware Test that came with your Mac's OS & Application Software DVDs and note down any errors reported by it. For more information about the AHT visit:

    Hope this helps!

  • Wireless radio turns off every 2 minutes

I have a Thinkpad Z60t, running Windows XP.
I have the physical wireless switch on the side panel set to the on position (i.e. to the right).
Initially, I am able to connect to any wireless network without a problem. However, after about 2 minutes of not actively using the internet, the green "wireless radio" status light on the front panel turns off and I lose my internet connection. I then have to do "Fn + F5" (or ThinkVantage button -> Manage My Connections -> Power On/Off Wireless Radios) to turn it back on (and get the status light to be green again). I then have to reconnect to the wireless network.
I believe this is a common issue. I have tried several suggestions I found on other forums, including ThinkVantage button -> Manage My Connections -> Select Location Profiles -> Open Access Connections -> Configure -> Location Switching -> UNSELECT "Enable automatic location switching". This method actually seemed to work for a few hours, but then stopped.
I am certain that my wireless network is stable - my roommate's laptop does not lose the signal every 2 minutes like I do. I think my laptop's wireless radio automatically shuts off after 2 minutes of no use, and this feature needs to be disabled somehow.
Please help. I am getting frustrated of having to manually reconnect every 2 minutes.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

open control panel, go under system, hardware/system property, then go into the device manager.
Under the wireless card property (right click on the wireless card and select property), there are settings for roaming aggressiveness, power saving and power output.

  • IPhone 3G turns off every few minutes with new OS

    Greetings all,
Apologies for not introducing myself in advance but I just want to get this issue fixed. I upgraded my iPhone to OS 4 and now the main issue is that when it is not plugged in it will just turn off after a few minutes of being idle. If I actually use it (i.e. keep the screen on) it won't turn off - its only a minute or two after the screen turns off that the iPhone actually turns off. I suspect this is a crash because I have to hold down the Power Button and Home Button in order to get it working again.
However, if its plugged in it won't turn off! How useful! I've read over some topics (and still am reading them, thanks for all the help) but I'm not getting anywhere. I've deleted the ipsw file and re-downloaded it to no avail and am considering trying a new user account on Windows 7.
Are other people having this issue? I was going to upgrade to the newest iPhone and give this to my little sister, but I don't think I'll upgrade now. She's rather upset about this.
    Thanks,
    Discopanda.

Make a backup, if possible.  Restore it as new, if possible.  If issue persists, or you are unable to do either of those previous steps, consult Apple.

  • Why does my internet turn off every 2-4 hours

I have had this problem for 1 year now no ones ever helped me to actually fixed it.
Every 2-4 hours i have to restart my router or modem. I have tried doing the firmware updates maybe theres something wrong with the thing im doing with the firmware i've tried a different router and modem i have tried a new ethernet cord to connect my modem and router i have unplugged my mac and tryed just with my pc and same wit my mac turned off p.c. and left mac on. I have changed the screensaver settings. I have moved my modem and router away from any phones. Maybe not far enough away. I have tried changing the channel. I've been trouble shooted by some the highest apple people in the organization and that only worked for 3 months im not paying anything more. My base station router is still green when this happens. My modem isn't flashing rogers has never helped me enough to resolve this. I think i might have tried everything if you have any comments on what maybe i did wrong or if theres something i could do im begging this is ******* me

Hello My internet *****. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Does this problem happen even if you have your Mac connected directly to the modem? If so, the problem is most likely either the modem, the cable in the house, the cable between the house and where it comes from your ISP on the street, or between this last location and the ISP.
Rogers should be able to test this connection all the way to the modem. In addition, they should also verify that the output from the modem is consistent.

  • New HP wireless mouse turning off every 30 seconds until clicked

I just bought a brand new mouse...HP x3000 Wireless Optical Mouse Black and it keeps shutting off every 30 seconds or so and I have to click it to get it on again.  Is this a battery saving feature?  And how can I turn it off?  Thanks

  • ISight turns off and wont turn back on

Up until yesterday my iSight was functioning properly. I tried to ichat with it, and I noticed that the green light was not on. The white lens cover was not on, and I had it plugged into the firewire port in the front of the tower. I did notice that is got very hot. I unplugged it and let it cool for the night. Today, I plugged it in and the light goes green for a few seconds and then the iSight makes a noise, similar to when it adjusts for light, and turns off. I also tried the camera on my other mac G4, with the same result.
Software Update doesn't pull up an isight upgrade, so I must be current.
    Any thoughts?
    Mat

  • Should an imageCLASS MF6160dw Multifunction Machine NOT be turned off EVERY Day?

I understand that turning off my machine would save some electricity. But, I am more interested in increasing the life of the machine then in saving a few cents of electricity.I do live in an area where the cost of electricity is pretty low. My previous Multifunction Machine was a Brother brand & they suggested that turning the machine off every night & then on the next morning would DECREASE the life of the "Lamp" - which is a very expensive part to replace (if it can be replaced at all). I tried searching for NUMEROUS words / phrases in the online Manual - but could not find where / if this topic was addressed. If someone has a link to something in that online manual or to any other source, I would appreciate it. THANKS in advance for your assistance.

In a roaming network, you would want the router directly connected to the Internet to have both NAT & DHCP enabled ... even if you want its wireless disabled. All other routers downstream of this router should be in bridge mode (NAT & DHCP disabled). If you haven't seen it already, you may want to use this Apple Support article as a reference.
