ISight wont turn off and DV import start.

Hello, Hellllllp:
I have did all that was instructed to import from my Sony Handi cam DV. When I move the iMovie button over to the camera mode, my isight shows up with me at the computer on camera. I cant switch it to import the video. Can anyone tell me what SIMPLE thing Im missing here to get my video into iMovies?

Two thoughts.
a. Did You connect Your Camera with FireWire cable ? USB/USB2 will not work !
b. Did You set Your Camera in Play mode ?
(on some Cameras You also have to select Digital out on the Camera menu)

-When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use this program instead of the buttons.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPhone's flash wont turn off and the Power button is not working

Ealier today, my iPhone got wet from the rain, my camera started to malfuction and the flash or the LED light stayed on throughout the whole afternoon. I couldn't turn it off and it just ran out of battery.

If your power button is broken, there's not much you can do. You could go to an Apple store & do an out of warranty exchange...Apple doesn't fix iPhones, they replace them. But, I wouldn't recommend doing so, as the iPhone 3G was discontinued almost three years ago & won't run most apps in the app store.
You'd be better served by selling it for parts & using the money to purchase a new phone.

ISight camera turns off 1 second after starting

When the iSight camera turns on (green light turns on) it stays on for one or two seconds and then goes pssst and turns off. Audio chat works but Video Conferencing does not. Interesting to note that the iChatAV thinks the camera is attached. iSights (we have two) both work with 10.4.2 on other computers but not on any of our computers running 10.4.3. Have already downloaded the update to QuickTime. Any ideas?

If your iSight does not work with any of the tests suggested in How to test your iSight to ensure it is functional, have it professionally checked by an Apple Service Technician.
If your iSight worked for iChat AV video chats before the 10.4.3 upgrade, try the suggestions in Help for iChat AV 3 Problems.

N8 backlight wont turn off and cant change default...

---i got little problem here. my display backlight turns off only when I lock the phone-with button,or automaticly. I think it is suppose to turn off after the time that i can set in settings-> phone->display-light time out(5sec to 60 sec). its not a huge problem,i can always just use the button,or set screen/key lock time to minimal limit (60sec), but anyway,its **bleep** me of...fyi-> no app is runnung in background

This is the intentional behavior! The backlight only turns off if the display/key lock is active! Light time out (5 to 60sec) is only for lowering the brightness!

Battery totally out of juice?
Put it on a wall charger and wait for a few minutes until it has enough juice to startup.

Printer wont turn off, and the touch screen is black.

I can not get my printer to turn off. The green power button will just stay on. I tried unplugging it, but as soon as I plugg it back in the power button will still be on. My touch screen also won't work. It just stays black.

I see you're having touchscreen and power issues. I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.

Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
I'd suggest performing a power reset on the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend plugging the printer power into a different wall outlet.

My macbook keeps turning off and freezing on start up

So like my macbook keeps either freezing on start up or it will just shut off or restart itself
When it restarts itself it will bring up the main screen then this box comes up telling me to hold down the power button and restart it
A friend said it might have something to do with the fan not working or it overheating
But I can have it off all night then turn it on in the morning and it will mess up
It will do it sometimes between 2-4 times
I don't know what is making it does this
I ran the check up things and it said that nothing was wrong?

This sounds like the same thing that has been happening to both my Macbook and Macbook Pro. Some others sound like they have similar problems. This is what I posted in the Macbook Pro area regarding the same symptoms. This is discouraging. These computers are expensive and they should have the bugs worked out better than this.

I wonder if I have similar problems. I have both a Macbook Pro 15" and a Macbook 13"
1st my macbook started shutting itself off unexpectedly. It got more and more frequent. I have done several fixes including: archive and install, sending it in to have a logic board replaced, downloading an updated disc utility repair, and sending it in to have a power component replaced. Now I will be sending it in for a third time and I think they will replace the Macbook machine if this repair doesn't work.
Now my Macbook Pro is doing the same thing. I have had it for about 6 months and it was running fine until now. I ran the exact same software on my 12 G-4 powerbook without any problems. One of the computer people at work said it sounds like a power problem. It happens whether it is running AC or on battery power and doesnt seem to matter what I am doing.
I am waiting for the macbook to be fixed before I address the Macbook Pro because I dont want to have both of my computers in the shop at the same time.
Any suggestions? This seems totally unacceptable for two new expensive computers.
