ISight Work Properly but Randomly
Hi,
First of all, I have posted a similar thread about iSight problem that I am encountering and none of the steps solve my problems.
However, lately, I usually turn off my MacBook when I am off to bed. I am still curious why is my built-in iSight is not being detected by the system. So I tried to click PhotoBooth ever time I turn on my MacBook. Surprisingly, sometimes, my iSight is working, I was able to use my PhotoBooth and from here I have never turn off my MacBook, I was just putting it to Sleep Mode. Unfortunately, after the recent updates I have to restart my MacBook and I decided to test my iSight, but it fails.
I assume that my iSight fails to start however sometimes it is able to start up.
Is there any other solution for this ? Besides having to reset the SMP and other method that has been listed.

As I suggested in your previous topic, it is time to contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service. That is all there is left to do.
Intermittent problems like the one you have can be difficult to diagnose, so *backup your Mac immediately before surrendering it for service* and expect to leave your Mac with the Service Providers for a while. If they can fix it quickly you will be pleasantly surprised. If they need to keep it, you will be prepared.
If you do not want to leave your Mac with them and you are not ready to trade for a Mac with a working iSight, you can still consider a compatible external webcam:

In my MacBook Pro(10.7.5), finder is crashing after logging in. One thing that you can try is installing a 'fresh' version of OS X Lion. Boot into your Recovery partition (holding down the command and R keys whilst booting) and elect to install OS X from the Recovery screen. You need not erase your hard drive and you should not lose any of your data.
Oh, and just as a precaution, I would use Disk Utility, once you're in Recovery mode, to verify your hard drive before trying to install the OS again.

You formatted your computer's hard drive? If so, it's like starting with a new computer unless you restored all of your content from a backup but it does;t sound like that's the case.

WHy is it that each time I get an upgrade some of my Apps won't work when they did with the previous version. I have just upgraded to v7.01 and now I cannot send email, wake up Apple and get it right as I am a new user of Apple technology and not impressed.
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -
Pages with 'enhanced functionality' on the BBC website won't work, I get a message saying Javascript needs to be enabled, but it IS enabled..
I looked at the list of checkboxes under Tools>Options>Content>Enable Javascript - Advanced, but can't see what I could reasonably change. First and third options are already selected, none of the others are ones I would want to change and seem unrelated to the problem anyway. MacBook keyboard is not working properly, highlights randomly
Over 2 years ago my MacBook was fixed for liquid damage, hot tea was spilled on it while it was closed. Just recently it started acting up, highlights randomly, cursor jumps around while I am typing, thus deleting what I have typed and etc. Please, is there any remedy I can do myself, at home?
Your alt (aka opt or ⌥) key is stuck down. This seems to be quite common these days.
Try teasing it up with the corners of two credit cards or similar flexible, non-conducting tools.
If that doesn't work, the wafer switch underneath may be damaged, in which case it'll need to go in for service. -
I have gone in and ensured the MTP is selected on my phone but it still doesn't show up on my computer for me to transfer the files.

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

Button is not working properly- why not?
Hello Everyone!
I have searched the forums for the answer for my question, and I have read the "read this before you post" information, and I can't find the answer to my issue/question.
I have a Captivate 4 project I have started, and I have inserted buttons on the slides (pretty basic task!). My issue is that the buttons I put on slides don't work 25% of the time. For example, I have a slide with a "next" button. I made sure to set the button up to "continue to next slide" when clicked. I go to view the project, and click "next" and nothing. *Sigh*
Then on another slide, I have put a transparent button over an image. I click on the transparent button over the image and nothing. It does nothing. I have saved the project, closed it, reopened it, and the buttons still don't work.
I recheck the properties of the buttons, and everything seems to be configured properly, but yet they do not work. Very frustrating. I can get most of my buttons to work properly, but randomly buttons are not working. What am I missing here?
Otherwise, I have Captivate 4, and my company probably won't be upgrading to Captivate 5.5. After reading how Captivate 4 projects won't open in Captivate 5.5, I'm fine with that decision. We have too many projects created in Captivate 4, to not be able to open them with 5.

Okay, here is a trip up spot. When you configured your button or click box, did you also maybe clear the "Visible" check box? Many users misunderstand that beastie and clear it thinking "well, I don't want the user to see the button or click box".
Clearing it is a misguided attempt. The option is used when you wish to control things using Advanced Actions.
Also, is there a question slide between where you are and where you want to be? If so, sometimes your Quiz settings will prohibit jumping to a slide beyond the unanswered question.
