ISIS Redistribution

I'm having a couple problems with mutual redistribution between ISIS and EIGRP.
A little setup, I was trying to redistribute only level-1 routes into EIGRP and it would redistribute both L1 and L2 routes. I know that I have both L1 and L2 routes in the routing table on the redistribution router. The configuration I've been using is:
router eigrp 1
redistribute isis level-1 metric 100 100 200 1 1500

The following output shows an IS-IS router redistributing static, RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and OSPF routes.
router isis
network
redistribute static
redistribute rip metric 20
redistribute igrp 1 metric 20
redistribute eigrp 1 metric 20
redistribute ospf 1 metric 20The IS-IS metric must be between 1 and 63. There is no default-metric option in IS-IS?you should define a metric for each protocol, as shown in the example above. If no metric is specified for the routes being redistributed into IS-IS, a metric value of 0 is used by default.

  • I do 'router isis' but I get 'protocol not in this image'

    C2610, IOS 12.3.
I've searched this on forums but I couldn't find the answer:
I attempt to do 'router isis' but IOS returns 'protocol not in this image'. How can I solve this ? I would like to work on ISIS redistribution labs against EIGRP, OSPF, etc.

Thanks for info. hmmm... I need to search it more, but so far it seems my image can't do ISIS...

  • Adobe AIR Runtime Redistribution and Native Installer

Will there be new instructions for Adobe AIR 2.0 Runtime Redistribution? In particular, I'm looking for instructions on how to use the runtime redistribution installer to perform a "side-car installation" of AIR 2 alongside an application that uses the NativeProcess API (and so must be built into a native installer instead of a .air file).
    Thanks!

    Thirded!
On a test deployment using SCCM and the supplied Adobe AIR Runtime Installer files, we have managed to install our application with the 1.5.3 Air Framework with no major issues other than having to disable the Auto Update feature that doesnt really work in a corporate environment.  Everything was absolutely fine until the release of AIR 2.  Now, the test machines are prompted to install the updated Adobe Air 2 framework once a week, see an excerpt from an Adobe blog post below:
"In addition, once a week AIR apps check to see if an AIR update is available, and if so, users are presented with the option to update to the most up‐to‐date version, helping to ensure that end users get the benefits of improved security and performance."
That sounds great right?  Except my users (like many other corporate users) don't have Admin permissions on their machines (hence the use of SCCM), with the result being resultant error messages when a user attemptes to install the AIR framework update without the necessary permissions.
All of the above would be fine if the Adobe AIR Runtime Installer files were updated to include the latest version of the runtime.  This of course hasn't been done yet - does anyone know when this may happen?  Can anyone help me with this or offer any advice?
I hope the above makes sense and I would really appreciate any help or advice!
    Thanks!

If you are the only user on your computer you probably don't have multiple user accounts set up and can disregard that.  If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar.  Now see if your iPad appears under Devices on the left side when you connect it.  If it does, click on the name of your iPad on the left side and your iTunes sync settings options will appear in folders with tabbed headings to the right.
If it doesn't appear on the left side, follow the troubleshooting steps shown in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538.

  • Not working multitopology ISIS with IOS and IOS-XR

    Hi everyone,
I've gon a problem setting up IPv6 routing with ISIS in the test network. There are four routers connected as shown on the image.
I've got problems setting up IPv6 routing in this topology. I tried single topology and multitopology ISIS. Neither of them works properly. Single topology simple does not come up when IPv6 is configured in ISIS. Multitopology yet comes up but uyields only working IPv4 roting. I can see that IPv6 ISIS RIB is buit by the routers, but it is not copied into the main routing table.
That's what I get in the multitopology mode:

I don't understand the following: Why R8 doesn't consider itself attached to Pseudonodes R8.01 and R8.03 in IPv6 topology? The same question about R9 and Pseudonodes R9.01 and R9.03 in IPv6 topology. R7 and R2 consider themselves as attached to Pseudonode R7.04, although R7.04 doesn't look much different from the rest of the Pseudonode LSPs in the database. This fact still doesn't allow them to calculate a correct RIB.
    Am I missing something?

    Hello,
Can you check on XR that you have option of enabling metric-style wide under ipv6 address-family.I'm not sure but i suppose you will also need to configure metric-style wide under ipv6 address-family as you are using multi-topology .IOS default run single topology and XR run default multi-topology.only need to be sure that you are running same topology and metric-style same on all router,in transition process like from multi to single or changing metric-style you can use "metric-style transition" option..

  • Isis driver on acrobat 10 pro

How do I get acrobat 10 Pro to recognize a canon DR 3080C-II Isis driver, the twain driver is listed but not the isis driver.

Michael is correct re: ISIS drivers.
Having made use of them I can attest that there are "Departmental" grade (and better) scanners using TWAIN drivers available that output at high page-per-minute rates (yes, even 80).  As a new enterprise grade scanner is likely to not be available you may have to '2-step' - output TIFF then pull in the TIFF file(s) with Acrobat to output PDF.
Certainly an aggravation but I suspect what drivers are supported won't be changed any time soon.
What is specifically supported (from Acrobat Help):
On Windows, Acrobat supports TWAIN scanner drivers and Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) drivers. On Mac OS, Acrobat supports TWAIN and Image Capture (ICA).
    Be well...

  • How do you Redistribution EIGRP into OSPF and maintain a distance of 250 for a static route?

Ok, I have scoured the forums long enough and have to post. The design is below. I moved a firewall to our new data center, which required adding some static routes for VPN connections and broadband backups. To minimize the amount of static routes I redistribute static into EIGRP with a route-map and prefix-list.
My problem is the next part of my network. When the data leaves my 56128's it hits an edge device connecting to our dark fiber. On this edge device I am running OSPF onto the dark fiber, then redistribute some EIGRP subnets into OSPF and again all is well.
Everything works up until the point the redistributed routes hit my RIB at my main data center where I am running IBGP. IBPG is run between our MPLS router and core for all our remote sites. When my backup route from the 56128's hits the cores, it supersedes the BGP route because the AD route O E2 [110/20] is lower than the BGP AD B [200/0]. Given the configuration below what can be done to remedy this? Oh when I redistribute I can only change the AD for the backup routes, all other routes should stay the same.
56128's where my static routes are:
    ip route 192.168.101.0/24 192.168.30.77 name firewall 250
    router eigrp 65100

    route-map EIGRP_INTO_OSPF permit 10
     match ip address prefix-list EIGRP_INTO_OSPF

So in the case of a /24. If it were say broken up into /25's? From our remote sites we are using aggregate-address summary-only. Not sure how I would advertise a more specific route via BGP, sorry.
I didnt have this problem until I moved my firewalls. They plugged into the cores where IBGP was running and the static never kicked in unless the bgp route disappeared. I guess I could use my static redistribution for my VPN sites and use statics across the cores for the handful of backup links I have.

  • Status 'in process' and 'complete' in workload Redistribution

    hi expert.
In the workload redistribution, we found there are two status : "in porcess"  and 'complete''.  i do not  know what's mean about them. and affect what ?
      thanks in advance.
    regards

    Hi Deepthi,
You can look for the "job log" status for the jobs in your process chain. For job logs use sm37 transaction an find the relative db table.
    Hope this helps.

  • Isis problem with getting $40 credit

I'm hoping Verizon can help me. I was able to install the Isis mobile wallet on my new phone today. as i was going through the process, i started clicking on the links to terms and conditions. I had not yet finished signing up for Amex Serve, which has a $40 credit offer until 3/31. The problem is i was hitting the back arrow and somehow got out of Isis. Now if I go into my account, i don't have the $40 credit. I tried uninstalling and re-installing but it appears that I am now not considered a new Serve customer. Can anyone help? Plus i can't tell if i actually signed up for Amex Serve when I look into my account. There is no $40 credit for sure!

I think you may need to contact customer service regarding that matter.  inlude the exact error message or notification in your message when you get in touch with them.

  • Using Premiere Pro CS6 on an ethernet based SAN like Avid ISIS 5000

    Hey all,
My post production facility currently runs both Avid Media Composer 6.5 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.  We just recenetly started working on the Avid ISIS 5000 for our Avid editing projects.  I know that Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 (according to Avid's website) is approved to work together.
I'm wondering on the Adobe Premiere side...are their general settings and practices we need to adhere to, when working with shared storage systems that are ethernet based?  I'm running into some performance issues.  Like long indexing and conforming when opening up a project on another station?  And sometimes not being able to playback media or see media.  When working locally, this doesn't seem to happen.  I do not run into this when working in Avid Media Composer, so I dont' think it's any issues on my connectivity.
Has anyone had any experience running Premiere on an ISIS 5000 or other ethernet based SAN solution?  Where can I find info on how to setup my scratch disks, projects, settings etc, for optimized use in a shared storage environment?

Premiere through version CS6 (or Cloud?) doesn't work properly, if at all, over a network

  • Partition redistribution on node join

When a new node joins a distributed cache, I imagine that the partition assignment strategy will alter for the cluster in that some partitions must get assigned to the new node.
This must mean that the primary location for some of the keys in the cache alters. What is the process for the data redistribution in this case for a distributed cache, i.e. when a new node joins?
I have run a simple test, and it would appear that no redistribution occurs until some data is written / read. Is this always the case, or is there some background process that will migrate keys according to the new partition assignment?
Is there someway to listen for re-assignment events, other than listening for individual get/remove actions on the keys in the backing maps as they get redistributed?
Finally, how does the backup count for a distributed cache affect this? If it is set to 0 (no backups) is the process different?
         Any help gratefully received :)
         Regards
         Matt Searle

    Matt,
You are absolutely correct: when a new storage enabled node joins a partitioned cache service, the partition re-distribution protocol gets initiated and the new node will get a part of the overall load. The distribution algorithm is dynamic and adoptive, so as a matter of preference, the transfer affects cache parts that are not currently in active use.
You can easily watch the process of cache data distribution by listening to the backing maps of the partitioned cache. Attached please find an example of cache configuration descriptor and a custom backing map listener class that would log all corresponding backing map events.

  • SRM 7.0 SP05 - Workload Redistribution functionality

    Hello,
Up on using the Workload redistribution functionality in our system the system dumps (strategic purchaser). The workload redistribution transaction does open initially but upon triggering the: search help / execute search via button or undo entries button the system dumps. It triggers the following error: 'User session (HTTP/SMTP/..) closed after timeout'.
    - Does the 'Workload redistribution transaction' work in your system, could you test this?
    - Is BW set-up required to run this transaction, does this functionality utilize BW?
    - The customizing transaction 'Define Logical Systems and Template Names for BW Reports' is not available. How come? Is this transaction available in your system?
    - Any possible solutions are very much welcome
    Kind regards,
    Tim

It seems that after using and waking up the functionality and letting the system rest it started to work. I don't know what that is but I guess we should be happy it's working after all.
    Thread closed, question answered.

    Hello Muthu,
BW reports will be shown in SRM Box if the corresponding BW roles for SRM are integrated with SRM roles.
You might to activate the corresponding datasource of this in SRM.
And since you have to connect the source system to BW, I think you have to define SRM system as logical system in BW.
