Thanks

Did u eventually got this running, I too have the same problem.
I am unable to configure the SRE-300-K9, always i have to reset and go to the int ism0/0 and give no shut to bring it up but it comes up in boot loader configuration.
I tried to install using the guide but after all installation and language selection it keeps saying as payload missing and curl code error 19 and sometimes curl code error 78.
If u already found some solutions pls share it.

  • ISM-SRE-300-K9 & Cisco Configuration Professional Issue

    hi there,
i have a cisco 2901 router running CME 8.6 the router has a ISM-SRE-300-K9 card init with Unity Express 8.0.5 installed.
i am having issues with Cisco configuration professional and configuring the module
under module configuration the status is "module is not reachable", if i click on details i get further information "unable to execute command from the module. module is either reloading or is in failed state. you must make the module up and refresh the module"
i have tried reloading, resetting and refreshing the module but the issue is still present
i have accessed the module from the CLI set it in offline mode and factory defaulted it and the same issue is still present
the only thing i can think is that this is a bug with CCP as the loopback interface which the module is using can be pinged fine from the router so the message makes no sense.
    any ideas

Is you problem with CCP or the module itself ?
Because, CCP bugs and limitations aside, the module can be normally be installed, configured and managed using CLI or its web interface (after software is initially loaded).

  • ISM-SRE-300-K9= bare bones loading Cisco Unity Express

    Hello,
I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not I can load Cisco Unity Express on to a Bare Bones ISM-SRE-300-K9=. Does one need to buy it pre-configured from Factory, or does the Non Rehostable 2-Port License automatically install with the download from cisco.com
These are the conditions of the scenario:
    1) ISM-SRE-300-K9= is bare bones from distribution
    2) The unit has a Service Contract (SAU) purchased and attached
    3) I will be installing the 5-Pack Mailbox License
    4) I will be installing CUE 8.6 on to the unit from cisco.com download
    Thanks,
    Jordan

    Hi Swati,
Even if there are other posts, you may check this link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/interfaces/software/feature/guide/ism-sm-sre.html
Also CUE is not supprted on the Embedded Service Module, so you have to install de CUE module on ISM 0/0 or 0/1

    JUAN-RAMON

Just to be clear, this posting is NOT asking for help. This is a posting to help those with the HARDWARE side of the configuration. This is what I just finished doing in my lab for testing. Worked great. DHCP, WLAN Advertising, etc. I now have to go on to the next harder steps of really combing through the WLC configuration, applying our standard template configurations for our Routers/Switches, applying dual and tertiary redundancy with regards to routing, DHCP via MICROSOFT and not using a switch, and so on.
This was just meant to help those who don't have a lot of experience configuring the router switch environment. Sorry if I confused any one.

  • ISM-SRE-300 - Lab Configuration

I'm using the ISM-SRE-300 for the Wireless LAN Controller solution. All our sites have a 2911 Router, and a 3750-x (3750x) Catalyst Switch with Routing enabled.
NOTE: This only covers the basic configuration of the networking side. If you set this up in a lab, you can follow other articles to install the Cisco Wireless LAN Controller software via FTP quite easily. Getting the basic infrastructure to work is the hard part.
Sometimes, a little help is all you need.
    LAB ROUTER
Note: Some old-schoolers don't like VLAN(1) on the raw interface. They like to change it to a VLAN sub-interface.

What's missing? (Assumption: You've set up controllers before and this stuff comes simple -- let me know otherwise)
    - Option 43 in the DHCP Pool configurations. I just entered the CAPWAP command on the AP itself to point it to the Controller.
    - Interfaces for EACH VLAN must be configured first before WLAN's
    - When you configure the WLAN's, point it to the appropriate VLAN Interface you created.

  • Installing ISM-SRE-300-K9

We initially planned to install our Call Manager and then install our remote locations. Given that scenario, the vendor sold us SRST Routers with no voicemail capability since the plan was to have the voicemail centralized. Well, that plan has changed and we have to get 3 remote locations up and running with voicemail before the actual Call Manager is up and running. We order 3 ISM-SRE Modules to go in our 2921 routers for the locations.
When I try to create a session on the ISM and I login, all it does is constantlly reboot looking for an image. I am assuming that Unity Express needs to be installed? I have worked with the type of modules before, but they already had software on them. This is new territory for me and I am under the gun to get these up and running. Can someone guide me on what I need to install and how? We have been running CUE 8.5 at the other sites.
    Please help

    Hi James,
    Can you try

  • ISM-SRE CUE license registration- chassis or module serial number ?

    I'm registering a license type L-FL-CUE-MBX-5= for a Cisco Unity Express 8.5.1 system on a ISM-SRE-300-K9
The license registration page is asking for a serial number. Is this the Chassis Serial or the Module Serial number?
    Thanks

You do need but the module serial number; as the license installation is done on the actual Unity Express module.
    cheers

  • Sf-300 48port failing 802.1x reauthentication and not re-initialising ports

    Hi,
I have an issue with the sf-300 switch model, which i am depolying in lapsafe trolleys. The approach is to wake the laptops from the guest VLAN (20) with WOL have them authenticate with 802.1x and use DVA to put the ports in VLAN14 so updates can be pushed to them over night.
I have configured 802.1x, guest vlan and DVA which works initially, all host wake from WOL, the laptops successfully authenticate and are assigned to the VLAN (14). This remains stable for a time then the hosts fail reauthentication. I have also noticed that when a host is disconnected from a port and patched into another port the initial port remains in the authenticated state and the new port authenticates the client but the hostnames are missing on the 'authenticated hosts' page of the GUI, DVA fails. The ports display a port-failure message for a time then moves to failed reauthentication.
The only way I can get it to work again is to reboot the box. From the logs I can see the macs of laptops being rejected and I can also see attribute 26 being ignored. See log below. I am unsure as to why host are initially authenticated but reauthentication fails, is it not the same process?.
I have 11 of these switches and have configured 6 which all display the same behaviour. These switches are not CISCO I do not understand why they have badged them. The protocols/standards are implemented differently. If you incuded 'general ports' as an answer in a CISCO exam you would fail. There are also other issues I have noticed with these boxes, I am not impressed!!!.
    Kind Regards
    Daniel

  • SCUP/SCCM install of 11.3.300.257 fails

    Hi,
I'm having trouble deploying the new combined 32/64bit version of Flash published through the SCUP cab catalog and SCCM Software Updates deployment. On every one of my machines the update fails with the same error. I have a mixed environment of Win XP 32bit and Win 7 64 bit machines.
I've previously had no trouble at all deploing Flash (and other Adobe updates) updates using the SCUP catalog and SCCM. It is first with 11.3.300.257, where the msi contains binaries for both 32 and 64 bit, that i experiece issues.
The error i get in the WindowsUpdate.log is:
WUAHandler.log (SCCM related log) gives the error:
Installation job encountered some failures: Error = 0x80240022.
UpdatesHandler.log (SCCM related log) gives the error:
    Update execution failed.
The Windows Application Event Log displays nothing in relation to the msi, so no usefull info there.
Anyone else out there with the same issues, or with some guidance?
    Br,
    David

Have, I am having the exact same problem. But 90% of my machines are fine. It is the about 30 machines, about 10% of the total, which fail with this error message. I cant see anything wrong with these machines, or anything in common thats different from the machines that patch ok.
This has occurred with all Flash ActiveX updates for Internet Explorer since I began using SCUP with SCCM.
any other advice that could be of use? Thanks!

  • 2911 ISM and CUE: Do I need to (re-)install CUE for GUI access?

To all the experts out there, I am volunteering with a IPT (Voice) install for my Church.  They have a 2911ISR router, which I am trying to setup / configure for a small office configuration.
The question is as stated:  Do I need to (re-)install CUE to get the GUI (web UI) to work?  It shipped with CUE 8.6.6 on the ISM-SRE-300-K9 module.  But I'm not sure if it is because the GUI isn't there or if I have configured the interfaces and route incorrectly.
Here is the software list on the ISM:
    MACC-2911-CUE# sh soft inst his

Can you confirm the GUI files are there, or are they missing; in which case I need to (re-)install CUE?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.  It is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin.  I do have that in place.

Could the router side interface be the problem?  Here is how it is configured:
    interface GigabitEthernet0/1.150
     description $FW_INSIDE$
     encapsulation dot1Q 150
     ip address 10.0.150.1 255.255.255.0
     ip nat inside
     ip virtual-reassembly in
     zone-member security in-zone
     shutdown
I should be working on the router in the morning, so unless something obvious is indicated in the above config listing, I'll post a new 'show run' as soon as I can.
    Thanks, Jim.
