Isn't the iPod touch 4 supposed gondola with headphones with a remote?

I got my iPod touch 4 for Christmas and it didn't come with any headphones! I read around some places and I heard that the headphones your supposed to get DON'T come with the remote!!! That most the reason I wanted this iPod. Is there a way I can get those remote headphones?

Look in the Apple Store below and see "What's in the box" statement....
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shopipod/family/ipodtouch?mco=MTM3NTEyOTc
All of the iPod Touch's come with Apple Earphones.
The 4th generation included earphones do not have a remote.
You might double check your box again just to make sure.
You can buy a different set of earphones many places but make sure they are compatible.
Here is a set of Apple Earphones with Mic and Remote for $29

Is the iPod touch 64gb suppose to store 14,000 songs

Yes but that assumes standard length and 128k kbps compression. To get this compression go to the Summary pane for the iPod in iTunes and check the box that says Convert higher bitrate songs to XX kbps ACC. Select 12k or a higher one for less compression/less songs or lower one for more songs and some loss in quality.

  • Is the iPod touch 4g supposed to remember playback positions reached in iTunes?

    Mine doesn't.
Playback position appears to be one-way - iPod to iTunes.
I've stopped listening to large files (long podcasts, audiobooks) in iTunes because I have to manually return to the same position after my iPod is disconnected from iTunes.
My old iPod classic doesn't have the problem - so I'm assuming this is a software issue.
    Thanks

The answer according to the local Apple Genius bar is - iTunes doesn't send last playback position to the iPod touch device.

Now, trouble is web pages aren't ready (shame! too busy?)
I suspect that demand and supply are one factor, and to not do too many things at once.
End, when there is a new model, it will benefit from what was learned producing the "4S" and iOS 5.x will have been updated by then too.

  • Does the ipod touch 5th g support 40mm headphones?

I want to buy some headphones, but they have 40mm driver diameter. i was wondering if the ipod touch's 3.5mm jack supported it

The size of the driver is not an issue the size of the plug is what matters.  If the headphones have the larger plug then an adapter is needed to connect to the iPod.

  • Are the volume buttons on the iPod Touch 2G supposed to be different?

I have the 2nd generation iPod Touch, and the sensitivity on the two volume buttons are different. I was just wondering if any other iPod Touch owners could tell me if this is normal or not. On my iPod, to increase the volume you have to press the button till it "clicks" (the click is not odd, it's just the way a regular button clicks, just like the home button) but with the down button, I just have to tap it or press it firmly, it doesn't need to go all the way down till it clicks. Thus the down button is much more sensitive than the up button. Can anyone confirm if this is a normal feature or if there's something wrong with my iPod? Also, if it's not normal, is there a way to get this fixed? Because I've already installed an invisibleSHIELD on my iPod and I wouldn't want to get a new one and waste the shield...

There is no way to lock them. I would work through the general troubleshooting outlined here to rule out the possibility of a software, although it sounds more like a hardware one.

  • Is the iPod Touch 2nd Gen compatible with current iPhone earbuds with mic?

I have a friend that wants to talk to me on Skype with an iPod touch 2nd gen, but the earbuds don't have a microphone to talk into.
Is the iPhone earbuds with mic compatible with the Touch Gen 2? Thanks.

I found an Apple brand iPhone stereo headset (with mic) on eBay, but when I try it with my iPod Touch 2G on apps like Skype or QuickVoice, I get a message saying that there is no microphone attached. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  • HT4623 is the ipod touch 4th generation compatible with ios7

My son has an iPod touch 4th gen.  and was trying to update it but it says at version 6.1.5 that it is at the latest version.  Is the 4th gen ipod touch able to update to verion 7 of ios?

    No.
As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB

  • Will the iPod Touch be able to connect to a 64 bit Windows Vista?

    Hey Guys,
I am looking at buying a new laptop and am contemplating whether I should get the 64 bit version of Vista. I really want to since it will let me take advantage of more memory.
However, I have been reading that the iPod touch is not compatible with the 64bit version of Windows Vista? Is this still true?

    Hello,
You should really go for a Mac; a far superior OS, but can also install Windows if you need it:
    http://www.apple.com/getamac/faq/
Only fairly recently has Apple released iTunes for Vista 64bit so if you're reading articles more than a few months old they may be reporting that. You will probably need to update to SP1 though:

  • Is The iPod Touch Backward Compatible With USB 1.1 Connections?

Hi. I intend to get the iPod Touch soon. But, before I make the leap, I'd like to know whether the iPod Touch is backward compatible with my older USB 1.1 connections. Any help will be appreciated here. Thank you.

    Hello Castlegard,
As mentioned, the Minimum System Requirements for the iPod Touch does specify USB 2.0, see the requirements here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1323
While it is theoretically possible to sync over a USB 1.1 connection, your mileage may vary. Consider that USB 1.1 has a transfer rate of 12Mbit/sec, where USB 2.0 is 480Mbit/sec, so USB 2.0 is basically 40x faster. Transferring small files may succeed, but when you try to get iTunes to update or restore an iPod Touch, it will be trying to push a 300MB file (approximately) through a 12Mbit pipe. Trying to do updates or restore via USB 1.1 will often result in iTunes timing out before the process is complete.
If I were to try to sync a 1.5GB movie over a USB 1.1 connection, I could probably go to downtown Sydney and have a nice dinner and attend a concert at the Sydney Opera House and still get back before the sync was complete. BTW, I live in California...
If your computer is a desktop tower, upgrading to USB 2.0 is a relatively inexpensive proposition. If you are not a handy person with a phillips screwdriver or electical devices, most computer dealers or resellers will install for a nominal fee.
    Charles H.
