I play popgo solitare online. Whenever there's an OS update, my game doesn't load. I use 10.7.5. Pogo tells me to g
o to Utilities and click on Java Updates. There's no Java anything. Any ideas?

Isn't there supposed to be something to shut your Mac down when the temperature gets too high like there is in Windows bios?

A program hung up and the temperature reached 192° F before I shut the Mac laptop off.
Why did this SMC Fan Control program or my Mac let the temperature get that high? If it wasn’t for SMC I would never known the temperature got that high.

This could be easily done with Keyboard Mastro By getting the temperature from SMC fan control.
It would be nice to be able to choose which programs you wanted to force quit. Dragon Dictate locks up and raises the temperature, When the temperature gets 160 I would like Program to be forced to quit.
I don’t want to force quit pages or text editor that I might be working on that I might lose information. But to force quit all other programs like Safari, mail or iTunes, is not going to cause me to lose information as the information will still be on the mail servers and on the web.
Can someone please write a program for me?
I hope Apple is listening may be they can make that an option in their next version it should be simple to do.
I don’t mean to copy Windows Ideas, but This would be better than Windows, to actually force quit the programs causing the high temperature rather than shutting the whole machine off causing you to lose information.

It can burn your lap also Some people have gotten burns.
MBP is a Notebook. It is not a laptop & should not be used as such.

Before I updated my Apple TV, It had everything, 'YouTube' , 'Netflix' And the iTunes Store. I just updated it and connected to my WiFi network and signed in to my Itunes account. After that there wasnt anything in the home screen, execpt for 'computers' and 'settings'. Any help?

This always implies the AppleTV is not seeing the internet when it starts up, as it seems to acquire available category content from there.
Restart your router and unplug and restart your AppleTV - does that help?

Where is java preferences folder?

I am running 10.7.5 and can no longer find my Java preferences in Application>Utilities>Java Preferences. Is it hidden somewhere else now?

If you install just the Apple Java updates including the last which was 2012-006 then you will not see the new Java Preference Pane. To get the new one you need to install the Oracle version of Java for Mac which can be downloaded free from http://www.java.com

I buy single songs before the album comes our and when I buy the album the song doesn't show up on the album, its still a single. Isn't there a way where the single becomes apart of the album?

I been buying songs that are singles, like for example: Give Me Everything (Ft. Ne-Yo) by Pitbull and then I bought Pitbull's new album Planetpit and the song didn't show up as part of the album. It still says that the song is a single. Isn't there a way that the songs from pre-ordered albums or singles suppose to be added to the album after the song is purchesed?

yes, I'm trying to restrict my usage of the exclamation mark as part of my attempts to be more even tempered (which aren't succeeding that well, but I may just need more practice).

Firefox is already running but isn't responding....done suggested fixes but still happening. NOT ABLE to delete Parent Lock as it ISN'T THERE unless I Firefox?!

The parent lock file that the support page tells me to delete isn't there TO delete unless I actually open the Firefox Browser....then of course it won't actually let me delete the parent lock file as it's "running in another window" EVEN AFTER I close down Firefox.
Please help as this bug is annoying me so much I'm thinking of switching to another browser.

As stevejobsfan said. But also if your profile is correct and you are running system 10.7 on your iMac, you will not have much portability between the two either. Think of them as 2 different programs that just happen to have the same name.
OS 10.9 Mavericks' version of Pages has greater compatibility with the app version of it. But there are a lot of consequences to moving to Mavericks which should not be done lightly. Read around a bit on it before making any decision to upgrade.

Actually, you can email up to 5 at a time from the Photos app. Select any more and the email share option will not appear.
If you explain why you need to email large numbers of photos, we might be able to offer an alternative.
