When I open Firefox my yahoo home page comes up very odd and not usable. If I log into my e-mail it also comes up odd and not usable. (the tools across the top like delete etc don't show up.) If I go to a different browser and pull up yahoo it is fine, if I log on to my mail there it also comes up fine and usable. Please help am new to Firefox and just barley getting to where I can us it really don't want to have to change to yet another browser. Losing all my stuff again. (Microsoft browser program stopped working) Please help, real desperate here. Thank you. Followed the instruction on how to take a screen shot, did so, but don't know how to attach it here. Didn't see instructions regarding that and beyond my limited abilities. Have it if someone needs it and can tell me how to attach or send.
If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like <i>Adblock Plus</i> or <i>NoScript</i> or <i>Flash Block</i> that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

You can use one of these to start Firefox in <u>Safe mode</u>:

Very Odd WiFi connection problems - plus crashes
Since Firefox 2.0.0.9 crashed yesterday, I have had very odd problems with my WiFi (Earthlink through an Apple Airport). Network Diagnostics says everything is okay, but Safari can no longer connect to the internet, and after Firefox crashes I can not even send Apple an error report. Yet I can get online with Firefox, as I am now.
The problem apparently started EITHER when I upgraded to the latest Firefox or when I tried to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/> (or both). After Firefox crashed multiple times while trying to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/>, I opened Safari, which would not connect.
I ran Network Diagnostics which said everything is fine. But Firefox continually crashes trying to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/>, Safari continues not connecting, Network Diagnostics continues to say everything is fine, and now I can't file an Apple Error Report and trying to connect to some of the library services at Notre Dame (something I have always been able to do before), makes Firefox crash.
The only other possible symptom I have noticed is that I could not connect to a Late Show video this morning. Otherwise, I can browse the web in Firefox, I can pick up my email with Entourage, etc.
How do I fix this?PS: I once had a similar problem that was fixed by a simple restart.
I have restarted numerous times now, with no change. My MacBook was off over night. -
My Visa account keeps getting declined at Apple. I used this very same Visa card on Amazon with no problem. I checked my status for the card and it is still all good. My friends and I buy a lots of Apple applications on iTune.
We have the correct CVV2, Expiration Date and Billing address, but you keeps declining us. Please fix this problem for me. The issuing bank for this card is Eximbank, one of the largest banks in Vietnam. According to the bank, the transaction is processed in the US. This is a legitimate Visa card.
Please let me know as soon as possible. Apple does a disservice to its brand name by declining legitimate Visa account holders from using the cards in Vietnam.

I have a Galaxy S3 and love this phone but here at my new home which has absolutely no trees of bushes blocking anything, my phone calls are dropped ALL THE TIME and it's driving me crazy. Verizon finally said that they would come out and boost the signal but haven't seen anyone in two weeks. I have called Verizon tech help for one year to get help with this, either trade phone or something. I am so frustrated! I picked Verizon for the clear calls and coverage inside hospitals and buildings but it's been terrible. I have had three of these phones replaced. I need a different model like the S4 or the S5 I think cause it's something in this model.
Verizon is quickly becoming the worst cell phone company out there. To read all of these pleas from your loyal customers is just so sad and pitiful. You need to be sued for your data overage charges that you are intentionally imploding on your customers. They have pleaded, very intelligently, with you to do something to fix the issue and you willingly have NOT. As is with my reception issue that I was promised a signal booster for two months ago, so is this issue with the data. You don't follow up and solve the issues. Therefore the courts will find you fraudulent. When I was promised by your super tech that I needed a signal booster and he was sending it out overnight at no charge to me, I was relieved that it would finally be taken care of so I wouldn't lose faith with Verizon. Well, that was two months ago now with no record of it ever being ordered or on my file anywhere. I have since called three more times with hours of conversations about that issue and two more techs have told me they were sending me a signal booster with no follow up what so ever. WOW! That's pitiful! You may not care now, oh but you will later when you lose lots of money and business.

Isn't this Trigger code error prone?

I have come across a Trigger code where the :NEW pseudo variable is being assigned value like
SELECT emp_oid into :new.emp_oid FROM emp_dtls WHERE EMP_NO =:NEW.EMP_OID;Apparently, the code is working fine. But isn't this error prone?It is not very useful to post this single line. One doesn't even know on which table this trigger fires, nor the relationship with the affected table and the emp_dtls table, nor whether an exception handler was programmed.
(Probably not).
If my assumption is correct no exception handler was programmed, this would have resulted in kick-ass time, as the code may result in either the NO_DATA_FOUND exception or the TOO_MANY_ROWS exception.
Anyone writing that kind of code needs to be escorted to the door of unemployment immediately.
BTW will anything bad happen if you post a question consisting of more than 1 line. Salary substracted? Fingers chopped off by your boss?

I've encountered a very odd problem with a computer at work. It's a G4 733 mhz, running os 9.1.0, and at my insistence, my boss has agreed to let me install os X, but only on an external drive. Right now this thing has all kinds of weird going on. First off, it never remembers the startup disk, it always starts up with a question mark for a minute before finding the internal os 9.1 disk. (This is an old problem, not a result of my attempt to install os x.) It starts up off the tiger disk fine, but it won't recognize the firewire disk as the start up disk. (In OS 9's startup disk control panel it will see the the folder, and it lets you select it, but it always reverts to the internal drive with OS 9 on restart. Same thing when selecting it with the startup disk options from the OS X Install Disk.) To make things weirder, holding down option on startup lets me see the CD System folder, and the OS 9 System folder, but not the firewire drive. I hooked the same drive up to my laptop, and booted up off the drive fine. I tried giving the PRAM a zap just for fun , and then it didn't see anything till I started up off the CD and told it to startup in OS 9. My mind is boggled, anyone have any idea what this is a symptem of?

OS 9.1 can be used as Classic with OSX, although OS 9.2.x provides better compatibility in that mode.
However, the original OS 9.1 installs (whether from a CD or the result of a download update) have an issue - the version of Startup Disk control panel that comes with OS 9.1 and earlier can not recognize OSX as a viable Boot OS, hence will not make it available for selection. The solution for that is to update the OS to 9.2.x, or at least update just that control panel. There is a specific download available for just the control panel -

There may be another problem. You stated -

That would indicate that the install of the OS on the firewire drive may have been done when it was connected to the laptop. If that was the case, it may not be suitable to boot a different model, such as your G4/733.
Most OS installs are specific to the hardware of the machine whose boot OS is running the installer. There is a way to do a universal (boot any Mac) install of OS 9.x, but I don't know if there is a way to do that with OSX.
To make things weirder, holding down option on startup lets me see the CD System folder, and the OS 9 System folder, but not the firewire drive.
Booting up using Startup Manager (which is what appears when you hold down the Option key during boot) will display only those OS's valid for that particular machine, and only one OS per volume (volume = an unpartitioned drive or disk, or the partition of a partitioned drive or disk).
Sometimes Startup Manager does not 'see' all bootable volumes immediately; clicking the Rescan button (the round arrow) will make it recheck all buses for a bootable volume.
First off, it never remembers the startup disk, it always starts up with a question mark for a minute before finding the internal os 9.1 disk.
This could be indicative of a weak or dead internal battery. Since your G4/733 is running a version of OS 9.1 it must be a Digital Audio model (the G4/733 QuickSilver models originally came with OS 9.2, and can not use any version of OS 9.1); this means it is about 5 years old now, which is about all that can be expected from an internal battery even if the Mac is left connected to live power when it is shut down.
When the battery is too weak or dead the Mac will not remember PRAM settings between boots or restarts, and may have difficulty booting to some drives (particularly to external ones).
Suggest you replace that battery - you can get one at places like Radio Shack for about US$15, cheaper on-line. -
Very odd ownership on FW drive: possibly iTunes-related
A FW drive I have attached to my AL iMac is behaving very oddly in 10.4.11: it's Info window shows ownership/permissions as it would be displayed in Leopard (I have admin access.) I "You can read and write" followed by a list with 'group' mini-icons on the left. The only item in this list is "admin' with the privilege "Read attribute…ete contents", and I can't edit anything.
Most folders and items inside the drive reveal normal 10.4 ownership/permissions info, except for my iTunes folder, which displays as described above.
Any ideas????? This is new to me.BD: I have an off-topic question for you: is there a way to reach you?

I'd look for Leopard stuff on the drive, When I did it with Leo, some Chipsetted FW drives were marked Read Only, others as unmountable... real mess getting them straightened out in Tiger.. I think it took DiskWarrior more than one pass at the Files tab to return it to Tiger use.
Not sure whether iTunes on there would do it, but with today's DRM, I consider it a possibility that it may wish to have complete control of it. -

I have been trying for an hour to delete all of the photos from my iPhone 5. I have googled it several times and there doesn't seem to be a solution. Have tried deleting them from my PC. One at a time deleting is impractical - I have 1000 photos! Why isn't this easy and intuitive?
When you hooked up to your PC did they attempt to import? Had you imported them previously and not deleted when the import was complete?
If you have to delete them directly on your device, you need to press the select button and just keep selecting until you have all of them selected, then put them in the trash.
You do not need to select one then trash it, then select another then trash it. You can select as many as you like before clicking on the trash icon.

Desperate and hopeless...isn't this against the law???
I give up! I don't understand why verizon contuously makes mistakes on my bill? when I call to discuss the additional charges they agree as to the refund however I NEVER RECEIVE IT> I have been paying over 3000.00 in verizon cell phone bills in the past 14 months when all I have are 2 active cell unlimited share plans for approx. 42.40each and additional 60.00 for the line access charge and 1 home line for 20.a mo ending 7789. NOTHING ELSE the other lines 0109 and 2548 were suspended due a line that verizon told me to buy so i could replace my 8317 cell. my contract was not due for an upgrade and they said it was the cheapest route so that number doest even have a phone attached to th enumber because verizon transferred that phone to 8317 calls so 01096 was to be 0 charge since april 2012 to last month .the 2548 which i disconnefcted last month as well was a internet broadband since 2009 i think and we lost the transmitter so it has never been in much use however verizon also billed it cont. along with 0109 as a phone line which is irrelevant because if you check those 2 lines have never been in use of ANY OUTGOING CALLS OR INCOMMING AT ALL EVER but verizon keeps defaults those 2 accts as active chargeing me the max amt posibble. my bills should only be approx 160 and thats being generous!!! verizon states they will make the perm. changes and the refund will show in my next bill however I am still waiting for my refund and i keep getting the run around!!! I have lost my job and my husband had gotten a cut back i have 6 kids 4 of my own and 2 i took took over gaurdianship I dont have money to throw away on mistakes I and i def. do not have any more to play with....I have 6 kids to feed not incl myself and my husband. I was diagnosed with a terminal disease and I cant afford any more oops!! I cant even pay for medical bills because i need my phones on so i can get a hold of my specialist and vice versa. I cant miss my drs call if they have a transplant i cant miss that call!! Do you understand what I am tryimg to say? I need my cell lines on but I cant get charged ridiculous fees any more...Pls HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need my money back!! I cant wait anymore thaey tell to pay the amt and i will recieve a credit for the next bill so the recommend for me not to pay the next bill but when i do that i get an additiomal late fee charged on my next bill with no changes made actually an increase on some lines. there are a few month sfor example feb/march bill and jan/feb bill dec/jan bills are appprox 154.-159.acceptable and grateful to pay. however i get bills like june/july, may/june, april/may,march/april where my monthly bills range from 160-over 310. which leaves me a statement balance of at times as high as 556.02 in june and 437.30 in july. keep in mind all my pymet are over my approx 150 pymt twhich is my perm. charges. as you can see in bill history I have even paid 2xamonth both over the amts for example in july I paid 181.14 on 7/3 and 246.31 on 7/1. Why when i just paid 300.on 6/3. Isn't this against the law??? Does anyone know who should I address my cont. issue about that will actually help me?

My iPad2 works great now after IOS 8.1 Update
I did my iPad2 update thru iTunes on my iMac and it was sucking the iMacs memory very low during the update. Safari froze before loading the first web page and I did a hard boot and went fishing as I saw where it was going to take a long time to recover. When I tried again it wasn't quite right and then did one more hard boot and then did a Reset by going to General-Reset-"Reset all Settings" and it works real well now without loosing any data and in-home wi-fi clocks at 17Mbps download. Probably like most of you I’m sticking with OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks as it gets the job done very nicely and don’t need all that extra fancy stuff that probably will slow things down. -
