ISO 7.1 help

My daughter updated to ISO 7.1 and an iTunes logo is the only thing that appears and it will not do anything else! Please help!?!?

The methods in that support article didn't fix the problem for me. I installed 7.1.1 (which I believe Lexibolda00 is referring to, given that this was posted today) earlier today and immediately after could only get the Apple logo with the picture of the cord (indicating it was in recovery mode). iTunes gave me an "unknown 4013" error and said the unit couldn't be restored, even though it was only two weeks old. Took it to the Genius Bar and they said the screen was indicating the iPod was now broken in some way (they tried a lot of different methods to try to get it working first, including the ones mentioned in that support article and other suggestions on these forums) and they gave me a new iPod Touch.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

Why do I get lots of noise in my photos on the D30 at long exposure times with 100 ISO speed? Help!

So I'm using a Canon D30 (3.1 megapixel). My ISO speed is set to 100, but when take phots at very slow shutter speeds I get a lot of noise. And I mean a lot. Can anybody help?

Long exposure time is the 2nd main way to get noise in an image. Not a lot you can do other than post processing. How long an exposure? Perhaps a compromise like ISO 200 and a shutter that is half as long (twice as fast) would be slightly better if you played around with it. Or perhaps that would be even worse.

The existing entries are in the Calendar but the + button is missing that allows you to add new entries.....?

The same happened to me on my 4S.

Burning dmg/iso to DVD - Help!!

well.. I made a .dmg file from my mac os x snow leopard.. I know how to make a boot of mac os x from a pen drive..
Now I'd like to burn the .dmg file to a DVD to boot it from the DVD.
what should I do?

I'm fairly sure that a bootable DVD has to be specially constructed for this purpose, as is the case for a Mac OS X install disc and for various commercial products. You can't just install OS X onto a partition, clone an image of it and burn the image to a DVD, and then successfully boot from the DVD. When a "normal" version of OS X boots, it needs to write to its startup volume to create needed caches, swap files, configuration files, etc. It could not do so if the startup volume is read-only, as would be the case for a DVD.

Just got my new apple tv ver 3 all set up, when I try mirroring from my ipad 2 ios7.4 it is very hesitant almost none functioning it stutters, it freezes, very disappointing. It works ok with the pre-installed apps ie youtube, but not mirroring which was one of it's main attractions and why I bought it. Some advice please.

Lag is usually caused by network interference so I would verify that by using istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC)

Wondering if I have malware, help!

I recently installed VirtualBox, and I used an iso file I'd gotten a while back to try Windows XP. I thought when I got the file that I was downloading some sort of VirtualBox helper file, but apparently its a full Win XP system installer. I deleted the disk image of the Virtual Machine I put it into, but I'm wondering now if my Mac is infected with malware. I did have a shared folder in that virtual machine but it was not my main home folder or any of my system folder.
I never opened the iso file in the Mac system, other than selecting it within the VirtualBox app to use Windows XP.
The iso filename had "nomaher.com" in it, which from my googleing I just did seems like an illegal site. I know thats not where I got the file, though. I've deleted the iso file too now, though I put it on a small USB drive I wasn't using for anything in case some tech person needed the file to find out if I have malware.
The Mac I ran this VirtualBox on is a 2007 iMac running Snow Leopard.
How do I find if I have malware from this, and how do I remove it if I do?

You would not have any malware affecting the Mac. Can't say for the Windows side or for the ISO, itself.

Originally we were getting the error that the phone could not connect. Then, after deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it again, the error message CHANGED to having to log in to Yahoo and authorize.
When we went to Yahoo in a regular browser and logged in there was an alert telling us about connection attempts so it disabled mobile/iphone connectivity. It required that we change our password FIRST.
Then, we went in to Manage Apps and Webpages and saw that iPhone was not there but Facebook was.
After all of this went back to the phone and deleted then re-added the account again and SUCCESS!
It now also shows up on the Yahoo Manage Apps and Webpages.

Boot camp wont show the option for installing via iso file

That option is only available for Macs without a built-in SuperDrive (the MacBook Air, Mid 2011 and newer Mac minis, the Late 2012 iMac, and the MacBook Pro with Retina display).
If you haven't got one of those computers and Boot Camp Assistant doesn't show the option to install Windows 7 from a ISO file, your Mac doesn't support the Windows installation from a USB because it's restricted by firmware to a Mac without a SuperDrive. In this case, you have to buy Windows 7 on a DVD from eBay or Amazon, and use it to install Windows through Boot Camp.
If you still wants to install Windows from a ISO file, the only option is to install it on a virtual machine, using an application like Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox

Blank screen after boot

I was running a fairly resource intensive program and went off to do something else. Upon return, the restart windows prompt had appeared (for updating to build 9926) but was unresponsive and stopped me from interacting with the screen with my mouse. After
managing to close the program, nothing was responding so I restarted. This was where the problems developed.
After it had rebooted (passed the windows logo) nothing happened. The same happened after another reboot. On alternate boots it displays "preparing recovery options", but still does nothing. After 10 minutes it shuts down the hard drive (which
isn't corrupt).
I attempted to recover it using a win 8 pro disk (all I had at the time), but it didn't work. I am also downloading the w10 iso. Quick help will be appreciated, as I need to use my computer for school.

Material Master MATMAS IDOC and base unit of measurement

We are using SAP standard material master IDOC type MATMAS05 to trigger IDOC. Our material master is having base unit of measure as "G". We are not using ISO unit of measurement. But Material master IDOC, segment E1MARM is populating base unit of meaurement (MEINS) as "GRM".
Any idea why IDOC is picking ISO unit of measurement instead of material master base unit of measurement.
Any idea how to send base unit of measurememt as "G" instead of "GRM" in DOC segment.

There are ISO codes for country keys, currency keys, units of measure and shipping instructions. According to SAP design guidelines, you should use ISO codes for an IDoc if they are available. When you set up the IDoc, the SAP codes have to be replaced by ISO codes.
