ISO 7 turning off iPad apps

Before you could use the four figure touch and swip up to see open apps, then touch one of the open apps until they started to wiggle. Touch the upper left corner of the app, circle with an x, to turn off that app. How is this done now with ISO 7.

You can still use four fingers or double-press the Home button.
Then place one finger on the reduced app window (not its icon) and push the window upwards off the screen.

How can I turn-off the apps which I have opened once in ISO 7.0.2. In previous version of ISO it was easy to turn-off the opened apps by double clicking on home button and then click and hold on respective apps then click on cross sign but in this version I could not do so and my iPad appears slower.

    Close inactive apps
    1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
    2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
    3. The app will fly off the screen

Now you swipe downward, the app will appear and you delete, keep scolling to the right as in the past.  With the new operating system you also swipe downward to get the search bar to find an app

  • My iPad 1 is turning off an app and going back to the main screen at odd times.  I've already updated it... to no avail.  Do I need to reset it to factory defaults and reload everything?

It turns off many apps at random times.
Plus, it won't let me go to the next level of Plants and Zombies!  I've played the same level about 15 times... it goes all the way through the level and then cuts out when it is giving me extra points for my lawn mowers.  Then it goes to the main screen... then when I go back into the game... I'm at the beginning of the level all over again!
    No fun!

I'm unsure what you mean but "factory reset" but first try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore and you have IOS-6 or lower, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • How can I turn off in app purchases?

I want my kids to be able to use my iPad, but, they keep making in app purchases without meaning to. No doubt exactly the intention of the developer. Is there a way to turn off in app purchases?

    Yes there is...

  • How do you turn off in app purchases

My son was playing the free app download Restaurant Story and made a lot of in app purchases. I don't know how he made the purchases or how you can legally  charge somebody for playing a game that is marked FREE. Does anybody know how to turn off "in app" purchases?

Assuming this is an iOS device (iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, etc):
Find and click on the Settings icon
Select General from the list on the left.
Scroll down on the right until you see Restrictions. Click on it.
At the top, click where it says 'Enable Restrictions'.
It should come up with a box that says 'Set Passcode'. Enter a 4-digit number (you can use the letters to remember it). Keep it as unguessable as possible, but something you can remember. You'll have to enter it twice to confirm.
Scroll Down to the 'Allowed Content' section. Turn OFF the slider next to In-App Purchases. It should not show 'OFF'. That will take care of the In-App Purchases problem.
I highly recommend looking at the other restrictions in the same section - you can restrict Safari, for example, if you want to restrict you kid's web surfing, and set age-level restrictions on music, videos, movies, apps etc. You can also turn off multi-player games and the function for Adding Friends.

  • How do you turn off in- app purchasing?

How do I turn off in-app purchasing? I recently incurred a $30.00 charge for coins on an Ice Age game. Is there a away to block this feature on my ipad?

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
Which is easily remedied in the restriction directly under in-app purchases where the 15 minutes can be changed to immediately, which means that the password is required to authorize every single purchase.

  • Turning off iPad after use

I notice that whenever I turn off iPad and then turn it back on later, it seems to run more efficiently. Will turning it off after every use and then turn it back on later be bad for the life of the iPad?

Shouldn't be - there are no moving parts, so no extra wear and tear. I restart mine periodically (maybe once a week or so)
A possible explanation is that restarting kills off all running apps, freeing up memory. You might get the same effect by using the multi-tasking bar to kill off surplus apps. Double-tap the Home button to get the bar, then tap and hold an app icon until they show the red badge. Tap the red badge for each one you want to kill off.

  • How to turn off all apps?

Is there a way to turn off all Apps on original iPad?

Double tap the Home button and a list of apps should come up on the bottom of the screen. Hold down one of the icons for a few seconds and a minus button should appear in the top left hand corner of the apps. You can press that and the apps should turn off. All of this needs to be done on the home screen, not the lock screen.

Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up
iOS 7  also allows apps to run while they aren't open.
    You can manage these here:
Settings > General > Background App Refresh

  • How do you turn off in app purchases on iMac?

How do you turn off in app purchases on imac?

I'm assuming you mean by using the Mac App Store, if so AFAIK  you cannot turn them off. However if you want to prevent someone from making purchases change your AppleID password and don't give it out. Without the password they cannot make purchases. Either that or you can simply sign out. How you sign out in the Mac App Store is Under Quick Links click Account then click Sign Out. Once you are signed out no purchases can be made.
