ISO5 update brings back deleted Calendar items - how do I remove them?

Since the update to iSO5 all my deleted items in Calendar for the last year have come back so clearly they were only marked as deleted but as far as I can see there is no way for the user to have any control over this. Does anyone know otherwise?
Having to remove all these items again one at a time is very annoying and I wonder what has gone wrong. More to the point am I going to have the same problem again next time there is an update.
Does anyone know how to remove the offending items en-block?

I am having the same problem as well. I think that it is related to the mobile ME or .Mac account. All of my calendar entries were in .Mac calendar and they didn't transition to iCloud. I would assume that mine are still in Time Machine, but I don't know how to move them over to iCloud. Any suggestions?

Got several adobe updater icons in my menu bar how do I remove them?

Installing adobe photoshop elements 10 I ended up with several updater icons in my menu bar. Tried command dragging them out, but that didn't work. Any ideas?

As far as I know the only way to get rid of them is to 1) install the updates and then 2) turn off automatic updates for PS Elements (in PSE Preferences).

Annoying Launchd Items, How do I remove them?

Software that I installed earlier but removed completely with FindAnyFile is still spamming my log.
Little Snitch and Akamai for the free trial of Photoshop (which didn't even work) keep trying to launch.
I've already looked in the LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons folders of my system, home, and Mac HD library folders and have found nothing related to the offending software.
Here is about 2 seconds worth of log spam:

Normally applications that install items like that have an uninstaller that you should use instead of trying to guess where everything is.

I did a reset of my phone yesterday and now when I go to purchaed to download my paurchsed tabs there is nothing there.
I see them in my ipad but they are not in my itunes app section either.
I searched for one in the app store and it usually said "open" or had the cloud icon with the little arrow to downlaod again (free). But none of that shows up at all this time. All the apps that I'm missing show up in the pp store for me to buy again like I never purchased them at all!
What's going on?
I'm missing a ton of apps!

I just wanted to add this information to my post:
I have purchaed, free and paid, 618 apps.
In my phone apps to add to my phone when I plug it in my computer only 266 apps show up.
In my itunes "puerchased list" only 266 show up.
Thank God I have not updated my ipad. There I went to my "purchased" under the ALL list in the app store and there I do see my 618 apps!
Where did my other 352 apps go? Which many were paid.
I want my apps back.

The desktop was rebuild too, not the same anymore and all aliases gone.

I suspect you didn't back up your data before the update - that would have been your first insurance. At the least, you could have saved your most important documents. I realize you probably don't want to hear that, but it's a good way to avoid problems.
It would be great to get a few answers:
1. What did you update? Was it a software update, a firmware update, or something else?
2. Do you use external drives? Or is it just the HD on your MBP?
3. Why did you "rebuild" the desktop?

what do you see in the iPhoto window when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

If you have been regularly syncing/backing up your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you may try restoring it from the last backup.

All contacts, calendars, photos etc should be on your computer as the iphone is designed to be synced to your computer.
Just sync them to your new iphone.

Get a program such as touchcopy or ibackupbot which can pull the messages out from your backup file.
You cannot read them using Adobe.
